PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Inevitably for such a heavily-anticipated release, there's a whole load of things that people want to know, have fixed etc. which is what this forum is for. But it seems to me that the balance of praise and criticism going on here is hugely unfair Let's not forget - among all the postings here - what a superb product this is in the end, and what a lot of work PMDG have done to achieve its release. So WELL DONE PMDG! This is a product which is going to be a benchmark for aircraft add-ons and is going to take a lot of beating in the FS arena. And also... it's giving a helluva lot of pleasure to a lot of people! Great work guys!!!! (And no, I don't work for them)

Hey guys, quick question, I have heard FSUIPC can cause some issues with this bird in certain configurations. Is it okay or permitted to have your Rudder Toe Brakes axis programmed and calibrated through FSUIPC, and Thrust Levers as well? I find FSUIPC does a much better job at reducing spikes and stutters with the axis's this way. Thanks guys

Hi, I installed and tried the hotfix some minutes ago and I have to reinstall the 737NGX without hotfix: I tried to start a flight with hotfix from EDDL and I had a CTD (before I could see the panel and the airport) without any error message (and I found no entry in the Windows event log)...I was able to make some flights from EDDL without hotfix and I was able to complete most of these flights (I had some OOM problems). I use FSX SP2 and XP SP3, an Intel C2D cpu (2,8 GHz) and 4 GB RAM (3,x GB available). I try a reinstall without hotfix and I try to reduce my graphics settings because of some OOM problems.Hope that I am able to make some flights after that. Regards Kalle

Hey all, This may or may not be a bug, but it sure is annoying to me and I can't see why it would do this. I have my aircraft set up for a full autoland with rollout... When I get the "RETARD" annunciation just before touchdown and the AT brings the throttle back, I've noticed that it brings it back to flight idle, and not full idle. For example, I just landed at KORF and before landing when "RETARD" illuminated, it went back to flight idle. This does not seem to happen all the time though... I have a key on my flight stick mapped to hold F2 when I press it in and press F1 after I release it. It seemed to take an extremely long time to go from AT flight idle to full idle …

Hello,i have the PMDG 737NGX for eh... I don't exactly know for how long... But whatever. A small problem I'm having since the beginning is that I can't engage reverse thrust immediately after the main landing has touched down. My Saitek Pro Flight Trottle Quadrant reverse position has been programmed to FSX's F2 key (decrease thrust quickly). I always can engage rev thrust immediately after touchdown in any airplane, but not in this one. When I engage reverse position after touchdown, reverse thrust engages after about 3-5 seconds, at about 100 kts. That means I only have reverse thrust on for a few seconds. Hello, Since I did a complete reinstall of my pc, I was forced to install FSX again. While I was looking for the best settings etc, I encountered the following screens in de PMDG NGX. The cockpit now also misses the yoke and some other objects. Quitte funny if you ask me This happened after sliding the autogen slider to off. Luc de Wit

Hello all! I have a question about the climb performance calculation with the 737. Last week I made 2 different flights, one departing from LOWI and one from LFMN. Both require a climb gradient, LOWI RATT2J departure has a required climb gradient of 4,7% due to a cumulus granitus in the takeoff sector :) It is located at 17 NM after DER (18,2NM after brake release) and 4700ft-AAL (6700AMSL) For LOWI I used the PMDG FCOM1 PD.30.9 (page 366) Takeoff obstacle limit weight. This table only counts for obstacles up to 300m and 9km from brake release so I am not sure this is the correct table to use, but because I cannot find any other, I used it be calculating a fictional obsta…

Hello everyone, After having installed the hotfix, something is going wrong for me. After having lined out the 737 on the runway, I switch on VNAV and LNAV. Then I let the engines stabilize at approx. 45% N1. Everything fine. However, as soon as I arm the TO/GA, the VNAV and LNAV lights extinguish (perhaps not the right word), the VNAV and LNAV lights are out., and I can't switch them on again.This happened after having installed the hotfix. Before, everything was OK.Any help is appreciated very muchThanks in advance,Henk Altena

Is there a way to just service necessary items instead of overhauling a system? My Alaska Airlines bird is burning oil and low in one tank of hydraulic fluid. Is there a way to effectively just "top off" the fluids? or do i just press to service them via the maintenance pages, thus restarting the service required clock? Thanks

I know add-ons modifications cannot be supported here, but I just would like to know if anyone has tried any settings for the Shockwave lights. I only see two entries and know most of the lights are in the model itself. Is there anyway to add landing lights or another effect that shows convincing cone lighting?

hello there, is there a way to make the controls less sensitive, i have my sliders in control/options nearly set to zero but it's still to sensitive or is this normal for the 737,and another tiny little thing izs that non of the panel lights work in the daylight, they only show up when i click on any of the 6 screens and the fmc then all the lights go out again.thanks.

Not sure but I keep posting this and it disappears for some unknown reason. Is anyone else having problems trying to run FSInn after loading NGX? Everytime I try and launch FSInn after loading the NGX, FSX crashes to disk.

Hello, I'd like to thank you first for taking the time to look at the issues I have with this product. 1)After noticing a series of freezes over two flights, I have applied the recently released hotfix. Before, I could release the monitors and controls from a freeze by switching between views ("A", "Shift+A"). In my second flight, this was no longer possible. The aircraft was uncontrollable. Strangely, I could hear the autopilot off buzzer, but she wouldn't give me back control over primary steering equipment. I had to close FSX to recover from this mega freeze. These problems have not occurred after the hotfix anymore. 2)FSX just crashed on me over "problem event": "BEX"…

Hello there. I got a problem to release the parking brakes in PMDG 737NGX. I can realese the parking brakes in PMDG 737NGX, but the FSX will not realise them. The problem is not on any other planes like PMDG 747 or PMDG MD-11. It is only when i selectet the 737NGX. I have attached som picture to see the problem i got. Hello,i don't really understand (i've tried to check in the manual but i'm french and maybe i don't undertsand all), how to operate with air cond!1 - how can i change Pass cab temp (the temperature AFT pass cab fall near to 0° while climbing)2 - The other temperatures are good but if i set trim air button ON some of them climb very high! how to proceed in flight with this?and what is the trim air button use? thanks for your help! Hi All I have a button on my CH yoke that allows me to press to disengage the Autopilot but it will not engage the autopilot, this is strange because it works fine if i toggle the Z key, PMDG uses its own code EG i deleted the Z mapping key out of FSX and it still worked with the PMDG assigned key, its a real pain in the neck that cant map to a hardware device direct from the CDU keys setup screen, i really need to be able to enable the AP without stuffing around with views or heading for the z key in that critical phase of accelerating after lift off, anybody have any solutions, somebody suggested linda but not sure how to use, thanks in advance RegardsWayne

At the moment ngx is download only but will they soon be releaseing it in box/cd version as well. the reason why i am asking is that i want to build a computer only for the use of FSX and try to keep the amount of background programs running to a minimum for example norton internt security and so on.by the way i do have a laptop which is connected to the web so downloading ngx will not be an issue.

Hi, Just got the NGX, and when i went to turn on the battery switch, a warning sound is played. The annunciator next to the master caution lights will say "FLT CONT" and "ELEC". Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem here? The warning sound doesn't seem to stop so I can't fly.
