I installed something none flight Sim related today and it asked to install DirectX Run-time files. I gave it permission then remembered that that the NGX had also installed these.I did a short flight today and the plane seemed a bit more laggy. If you are like me, except for the introduction manual and the tutorial, you find that the other NGX manuals are really written as reference manuals for pilots who have already been trained in the 737. And who knows what tutorial 2 will contain? I found some good manuals for the older 737 NG for FS 2004 from PMDG! Particularly useful is the manual for the FMC. It goes into detail about programming it, and explains very line of every screen in an easy-to-understand manner. Sure there are a few differences between that FMC and the one for FSX, but these differences are minor and easy to spot. And after all, both models are for the same plane, the B737 NG. Hello, Let me first start off by congratulating PMDG on such hard work! This is an excellent product and definitely worth the money although there are a few things I have noticed... 1. I don't know if it was meant this way or if this was something that was overlooked but I can never open a door without having first established electrical power. Somehow the doors will not open until either the APU or External power is active. Is this normal? 2. For some odd reason, if I take off with the CLB page showing on the CDU, after establishing climb power, the CDU will always skip the CLB page and automatically display the DES page during the climb, which seems odd.... All you have to do if you have rudder pedals is press both toe brakes as far as they can possibly go without braking them and that will disengage the auto brake. Hope it works as this always works for me.

Just bought me a set of Altec-Lansing Speakers with subwoofer and all I have to say is..... WOW!!! Sound definition increased tremendously....I don't hear the electric/fuel pumps as much anymore.... maybe faintly in the background but the bass created by the thrust is epic. FDX706

Hi - I just purchased the NGX but I have not been able to download using the link provided in the confirmation email. When I click on the link I get the download progress screen but it never moves beyond 0%. The confirmation email made mention of some type of security setting required to download but I am not getting any security warnings on my browser. Has anyone else had and overcome this issue? I'm certain that it's one of my internet explorer security settings but have no idea of where to start....Would appreciate any help. Thanks,Chris

Hi Have been flying pmdg for a while, but only in 2D, with 4 screens.Now I have bought the NGX and are trying to use the VC mode.. Anyone got a tip on the best screen configuration for this, cant figure out how to split the vc on more than onescreen. Or is the solution a 30-40 inch Tv ?? Tore

What have you done to help inprove FPS I was getting about 11 FPS in the VC but I have GTX 460 card with 2 monitors one is like 20in the other is 12in

I will keep this short and to the point, main reason being is that I am speechless. I have been an avid flight simmer since FS95 and still remember the day I tried to take off the 737 without knowing anything about flaps, TO/GA, SIDS/STARS or even a CDU. It was just F4 and down arrow, that's all that I knew. Now about 11 years later, I can honestly say I have found a product that truly gets me as close to reality as I can get in a video game. start from the problem: dont know why but the engine animation doesnt worksee the pic: about my doubt: when the first time i installed the plane i remember that when i was in idle on the ground the plane moved a bit but now not moving. is ok now or the first installation? david lee

I use FPS Limiter, but I've also seen references to one called antilag, and others have said ENBseries plug in can be used as an fps limiter. Are there any others? Which is best?

Hello, Yesterday i'm flying a short flight.I have forgotten to switch the fuelpumps on, but i have no problems with the engine.Normal Engine Start, normal Takeoff, normal Cruseflight (Level260) and normal landing.All Settings are tuned to realistic. Is this a bug or is it normaly that i can fly without switch the fuelpumps on? With best regards Stefan H.

I was wondering one thing exploring my new aircraft:Is it possible to add the copilot announcements like the ones in the MD-11?e.g.: "80 knots", "v1", "rotate", "positive rate", "gear up", "flaps up" and so on. I liked them very much in the MD 11 and I think it would add more "atmosphere" to the virtual cockpit of the 737 too. regardsJörg

When landing i have noticed the LOC frequency and Runway Course in the CDU are different to the ones in FSX. Which ones should i be using? Thanks for your help.

Hi, I'm able to consistently re-produce this. It doesn't seem to matter what I do before, but if I set up for an ILS approach (both boxes tuned), I press APP to arm LOC and G/S. It'll fly down the ILS no probs, until I get to DH. If I initiate a go-around (TOGA button assigned via CDU), **BUT DO NOT DISCONNECT THE FD OR AP** (select LVL CHG and HDG SEL at 400 ft RA), bring the aircratf around for another try, and press APP as before, only LOC arms (no G/S arm). The vertical mode remains ALT HLD. Anyone else able to confirm this behavior? The only way I found to fix it is to disengage the AP and turn OFF both FDs, then switch them all back on to get G/S to arm. This seems …

HiI have sometimes a few Problems with the FMC:When I want to take a look at the "LEGS" Page, I can see only the waypoints but no altitude or speed.When I want to type something in, the typed-in letters don't appear.Also when I activate the route, the execute light doesn't illuminate, but when I press it i can though execute the route. Hey all, Just been flying LEPA to EGCC, And didnt see planes on the ND , even with TCAS on and filter being set to SHOW ALL. There was traffic because i had them visual out of the window and a friend of mine was right beside me i another plane about 400 feet above and a mile close to test if it was working, and it wasnt :S Any suggestions would be appriciated people! To the guys at PMDG, is there any plans to do the vintage livery of the NGX?I mean the livery from the old NG and do it for the NGX, I think it would be nice to have in my hanger!Just like AA Retro :(
