Hi all,I hope this wasn't posted before, ( I used the search) When I start the whippers there comes this great sound which they make. But when I shut them down the sound does not stop. It goes on until I close FSX. I pressed "Q" many times but this doesn't work. Maybe a bug ?

Hi,I am about to give up.. Or maybe I should just be patient and wait for a service pack to be released..First let me say that even though I'm not a real life pilot, I not a total rookie in simming either. Among others, I have been flying the PDMG 737 for FS9 for years and have always enjoyed it and have never had these kind of problems with the FS9 version.. I bought this bird 2 days ago and had been looking forward to enjoy it this weekend. Thought I'd start off gentle by following the Tutorial 1. Unfortunately- I'm still stuck on the runway at Gatwick.. :-( First I had the problem with the engines not running when loading the aircraft. Spend some hours trying to find o…

Hi everyone, I've been scratching my head over this one and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm attempting an autoland at Newcastle, UK (EGNT). Both NAV radios are tuned to correct ILS frequency, both course dials set, speed correct, flaps correct, barometer set, both autopilots on, both FDs on etc. The NGX flys the approach perfectly down the GS with 'GS' in green and 'flare' in white letters. About 10 feet from touchdown, the aircraft begins to flare and the white 'flare' turns to green. That's it. The aircraft flys along the runway at about 5 feet altitude and wont touchdown. Eventually it turns gently to the right and lands in the terminal! I've tried to turn…

Hello,I am having a little problem that I'm pretty sure is something silly, but is preventing me from flying this beautiful airplane. When I load the airplane it is powered but the engines are off (i don't have the ready for take off state). So I follow the procedure in order to start up the engines and they do it without a single problem. They stabilize at N1 22% (or so) and all warning lights are off. I must say here that at this point all panels, switches and instruments work fine ( no freezes or anything like that). So I proceed to start the taxi and my problem comes: I see the thrust levers moving up as I move them BUT nothing happens with the power!!!!!!! N1 remains…

Greetings! I'm wondering if some of the experts can help point me in the right direction of planning flights. I would like to mimic the flight of SWA2892 (KFLL to KMCO) . According to Flight Aware the flight plan is: ARKES1 ARKES J113 LLNCH BAIRN2, but when I plug this into the FMC I get a route disconnect between LLNCH and BAIRN2. Where am I going wrong with this? Also, is there a way to find the expected runways for take offs and landings of these flights? Thanks in advance, Chris

I remember seeing a topic on this forum about how to fly the 737NGX without having a complete flightplan in the FMC. I mean, I'd like to fly using the FSX ATC (even though I know it *****), but that means I will be vectored around and so I can't put a plan in the CDU and hence the FMC can't program the descent etc. for me. So... how do I know which speeds I have to enter manually on the MCP...? And how do I autoland using the MCP only? Or isn't that possible and do I HAVE to enter all that data in the CDU...? It's been a while since I flew airliners as complex as this one, so I could use some help but I can't find that topic anymore...

Hi Everyone I know their is quite of few out there undecided about getting the NGX or may have been having alot of issues with FPS. I have a mid range computer, I bought it about 4 years ago and I did some upgrading over the years. This is what I got on my system spec Window 7 / 64 bitsNvidia 4708 DDR gig MEME6850 CPU@ INTEL DUO CORE 3 GHZ38 INCH LCDREX 2 I followed the introduction manual doing all the recommendation setting and I get 20 FPS avg using the tutorial. I am not using any traffic, I dont care for it, I am too busy paying attention to what I am doing in the virtual cockpit. After all this I stop pressing CTRL Z, I refuse to spend more time tweaking than flying…

Seems a minor thing, but it may cause issues with addons that look at this information. The "PMDG 737-800NGX WL" Title is inconsistent in the 737-800 House Winglets PMDG 737-800NGXtitle=Boeing 737-800NGX PMDG House PMDG 737-800NGX WLtitle=PMDG 737-800NGX PMDG House Winglets PMDG 737-900GXtitle=Boeing 737-900NGX PMDG House PMDG 737-900NGX WLtitle=Boeing 737-900NGX PMDG House Winglets Has already caused a minor issue in one addon --It may be advisable not to create ADDITIONAL aircraft.cfg files with this inconsistency. So I ran into a problem with FSX crashing while trying to load the NGX. So I did as was suggested on the forums and deleted the fsx.cfg and and then started up FSX and loaded up the NGX no problem. I played around int eh cockpit for a good hour just messin with stuff. Then I flew around in some other aircraft. I decided to test out the NGX one last time before calling it quits and FSX crashed. I have finally found the cause. If I load up my eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 and allow it to run the hypergauge.DLL and the other module the NGX will crash FSX everytime. I can go in to the FSX config and delete the entries and the NGX will load no problem. It just has a major p…

Couldn't submit a ticket so I'm writing here instead.Just copy and past from the ticket. Hello Sir.Been taken the bird for some flights now and I have to say its just outstanding.BUT, I'm having some problem with wheel well fires during cruise.Been reading the forums and it seem I'm not the only one and a common feature is ASX/E and rudder pedals.I have both ASX and Saitek rudder pedals and decided to do some testing before I submitted this ticket.Have just taken a flight now and was monitoring the brake temp during taxi (was taking a loooong taxi to the runway) and there was no indication on the brake temp.Climb-out and cruise went smooth without any notification, but un…

So after all the previews and whatnot, it was abundantly clear how detailed the plane was going to be. And indeed, we have not been disappointed - not at all! However, by adding all this detail, the bar has been raised significantly on the scale of "extraordinary detail". Where previously I'd be amazed by a pilot moving his head in the exterior model, now my attention has shifted to other things. So what's more to ask on this plane? I have no idea, to be honest. Everything works, and it works great, and I already found out that if something doesn't happen the way I expect, it'll be my fault, and my fault only. The system depth really is oblitaratingly enormous. Now, why d…

So I recently discovered that by simply disabling Windows Defender antivirus from scanning my fsx location, I was able to get a 75-100% increase in FPS, and now I'm sitting at a nice 25 PFS in the VC and 60 outside with settings up nearly all the way except water and a/c shadowing. So everyone, make sure you disable not only your aftermarket antivirus, but most crucially, Defender as well. Hope this helps some people with framerate troubles. Regards, Dylan.

I have 3 monitor hooked up to a TH2GO and one monitor hooked up to my second DVI output from my video card... I use that single monitor for placing equipment that I will be using quite a bit during flight. ie: the FMC, radios, etc Is there a way to save those to that monitor so that I do not have to resize them and place them in that monitor view each time a load the aircraft ? Thanks !

Just wondered if anyone has bought the Fly AoA Media training from Chris et al? If so, what is the delivery method? Will it all be streamed? Will we be able to download content and view it later? Smart phone compatible? Is there any time limit on the line training? I'm really interested in the Captain package, but a busy life (kids, house move) means that it needs to be flexible...

Hi Just a quick one... I wondered if it was normal to keep the A/T in when doing a manual landing? Or is it best to take out the A/T aswell when you D/C the autopilot? Did a landing into EGAA earlier and was very gusty i kept the A/T in as i always do and was hand flying the approach but it was constantly chasing the speed and the A/C became very unstable and had to go-around. Ive tried to find something in the manuals but cant seem to find what Boeing suggest Cheers Wayne Aisbitt

Are the excellent FS2 Crew team engaged in building a version for the 737NGX? Not only would it enhance the experience, it is also more realistic on a flightdeck built for two.

Before the Hotfix I was getting a very occasional freeze. I therefore installed the Hotfix. Now I am getting a CTD on every flight. I really need the better tweaked version when it is availble. Thanks for taking notice of user's comments.

Hello,I don't understand well the Electrical Power Up supplementary procedure (SP.6.1) or in other hands the initial startup procedure.BeforeIRS alignment normal procedure states to do the Electrical Power Up. Well, at that stage nothing is described about the position of these swtiches: BATTERY & STANDBY POWER. The procedure only tell us to verify whether the guards are closed or not. It probably guesses they were already setup correctly but it is quite strange (IMHO) that no where in the manual is written about that. I checked and read wrong? Also nothing is stated about the position of the two AC-DC selectors, except for the Standby power test procedure described l…
