PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Yesterday shortly after takeoff, all the guages in the aircraft froze but the aircraft kept moving..This is by far the most strange thing that is ever happened..what went wrong?? It can't be my computer: I have 8GB of ram, a gtx 570, and an overclocked processor.. is this just a glitch or what?

Hello, Everything else is brilliant on NGX except I got this problem every time after touch down. I move my Saitek Yoke to the centre position and the in-game yoke will of course follow the action but soon after it moves to down position.No problem on the 744X and I didn't calibrate in FSUIPC. I even tried with a new FSUIPC.INI.Please help. Cheers,

Hi Folks, So far I've really loved every minute on the NGX. It's ruined me for all other airliners that I previously owned. I was curious if the VC was changed a bit with the latest hotfix. I flew the -900 last night and I noticed the landing lights had a slight green reflection on pavement (not present before) and now the windshield wiper looks artificially lifted from the light compared to before. Perhaps this was done in effort to minimize the out of memory issue causing the freezes. If this will not be changed, is it possible to uninstall the fix once you have put it in? Simple questions, but no complaints from my end!

This just happened were I live in Omaha, NE..... "The thunderstorm swept across the airport during the 5 o'clock hour as a number of aircraft were preparing to take off. A passenger on a Southwest flight from Omaha to Chicago told KETV NewsWatch 7 that as the storm came up, it shook the plane as it sat at the gate. Passengers were told to evacuate the plane and return to the terminal. Authorities said an injured pilot was removed from the cockpit of a Southwest plane. Someone in another post, name will not be distributed because I dont want his PM box spammed to death, had showed this picture from his progress on the Flood light/Panel lighting mod he has been working on. Basically he changed some text in a document or two and got the lights to change color. If anyone knows how to do this themselves, I certainly don't, please inform us how, if you may. Hello guys, I just noticed two issues while flying offline: 1. When the sun goes up/down (when the color changes in the panels), I notice a really quick "blackout". This blackout takes about half a second, and the color isn't really black, actually it goes right to "cold and dark" color. It affects all cockpit/panels. 2. When I reach TOD, and the engines stays in idle, I still can hear some sound from cruise regime. Don't get me wrong, obviously I know that engines are still working. It's more like a "background" sound from cruise that could not stop when I reduce power. This goes forever, even if I correctly shut down the airplane completely. I switched the views, tried …

Have you ever tried to walk away from the NGX cockpit while in the VC? If not, try it. You'll find out we're actually inside a Level-D simulator room. I took some shots from the sim. Take a look: Weird, huh? I found it pretty funny, also because it is invisible from the inside. Any thoughts on why is it here?

Thank you to all PMDG developers, this is an incredible aircraft! Purchased 2hrs ago! I had previuos version for 2004, but this is superb! I suppose I have a lot to study now, fantastic! On my system runs well, my spec are in the signature below, not overclocked system! 20-25 fps in VC40+ fps in spot view.

Have an issue with the Collins MCP. When I use it, I only see a rounded twonumeral display on the selections that use three numerals. Such as speed,heading, course. I don't have this issue with the older Honeywell MCP.It shows three numbers in the three number boxes.IE: say I show a course of 312 with the honeywell. If I use the Collins Ionly see 31. If I select a different course, I can see the single digit changesnormally on the map, but the selection numbers only show the rounded 31number, no matter if I select 312, 314, etc.. I have noticed that after engine start, idle thrust will produce approx. 20%N1 I have noticed that on a descent, whehter it be via VNAV or LVL/CHG or V/S, when the throttles are pulled back to "0" the engines still produce 30 to 40 % N1. When disarming AT and CMD switched off, it is still impossible to reduce to about 20%N1. I notice that when clicking on the F1 button it attempts to reduce thrust but it will be immediately overruled. I have been having some major issues with the 737NGX. When flying CLB to cruise which was FL330 the aircraft can’t seem to make it. I get a buffer alert on the fmc the speed is very low around 190-200kts the ALT is FL280 in Vnav + Lnav mode check FMC reads waypoint 307/FL289 " 307/FL310 " 307/FL330 I have disengaged AT and push the throttle up and still only get a speed of 205-208kts also tried to level out the aircraft and still speed wont climb and can’t raise the nose if i do i stall, push the nose down and speed climbs, level out and speed drops. I thought this was due to me entering fuel loads in. So i loaded the aircraft up with default loads…

Hi Flying over Denmark tonight at 35,000' I selected the outside spot view to admire this fantastic machine and noticed both engine fan blades and nose cone's were missing. Also a Satcom Antenna installed itself on top of the fuselage - I never have them installed in the Aircraft menu. I checked the Aircraft menu (page 7/12) in flight and it said they were not installed ?? After parking at the gate and shutting down I rechecked and the Satcom Antenna had gone but the fan blades and nose cone were still missing. It has happened 3 times , with and without the hotfix. LNAV + VNAV engaged Reaching T/D the aircraft starts to descend BUT the speed increaseas. Why? Because sudenly the throttle is in manual..if i move them, N1 responds. BUT: A/T is engaged (Green light). I tried diengaging A/P and engaging again, LNA VNAV the same...Nothing worked.. Anyone else experienced this?

Hello All, Due to the number of frozen panels in the VC (Tickets raised each time), I decided to do a re-install of FSX as per the suggestions of PMDG, including SP 1-2, but there are no addons installed except FSUIPC. I installed the 737ngx and loaded a flight. No freezing of PFD ND or EICAS at this point. I went to options/controls/yoke to insert FS commands into buttons and on returning to VC the panels were frozen. I then went to VIEWS and re-selected the VC view and the panels were OK. Might I suggest, to those it may concern, when the aircraft opens and initialises for the first time after a reinstall, go to controls/yoke and do the necessary including FSUIPC…

Hi, I get my new machine today and reliased after install my NGX, i did not changed the FSX directory as recommended by PMDG. so, it's on default windows dir. anyone can give me a clue how to changed this ? or i have to uninstall everything and re start from begining ? Regards

Guys, First of all loved the new NGX and gives me great pleasure to fly in FSX. Regarding the failures I wonder if is possible to make the plane "get older" more quickly to find out if troubles shows up more frequently.At the aircraft INI´s files there is section call [Failure Groups] and Run Timer.0=xxxxx.yyyCan I edit this numbers to achive more older planes? More than that, I wonder if in the future PMDG could make a windows application, to make planes older if you wish, to execute maintenance tasks, manage the fleet and check if there are no-go itens before flights following MEL - minimum equipament list, like in real life. This is by far my best landing on the NGX thus far. I don't think it gets any better than this. It was a standard flight from Canberra to Melbourne and there just so happened to be a crosswind. Dear PMDGI simply love the NGX to the brink addiction!!!But given the many years of mastering complex panels in flightsim, I of course have my need to start with a setup to my preference. To make a long story short, I prefer to save a panel state after I arrive at an airport for the first time, to make a default panel state when flying from that airport.Recently I have not been able to save properly. The FMC writes : saving panel state.... But nothing happens. I can move away from it and use the FMC. The aircraft functions ok and no crashes. But something is not right.Any good advice? Looking at this forum it seems like I am the only ine with this issue.
