PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Noticed this a few times recently as I've been using the CDU in undocked mode on 2nd monitor and the Tab-key entry option doesn't work when undocked. A very minor thing but worth a mention I think. I have to fly a lot of the time in windowed mode for various reasons I won't bore you with. I wonder if I can flag this as something to look at? Thanks.

Is there any way to turn up the flap motor sounds when viewing from wing view? I looked in the sound.cfg and didn't see the flap movement .wav.. I've searched the forum but didn't find anything.. Thanx..

Ok now I just cant get my head around why i can seem to get rid of certain jaggies, If i look out over the wing on the NGX i get some jagies toward the end of the wings on the black lines painted aling them, and i can laso see some shimmering on taxiway lines and TDZ's. I have Nvidia inspector running with the latest nvidia drivers, its all setup as per Ryans thread (8xSQ, 4xSS, 16XAF) and these few items of jaggies really make things look ugly to me, anyone any ideas on how to change this? I'm trying to activate the ngx but everytime it gives me an error message saying that it can't connect to the activation server.FSX closes afterwards. Is there a way for me to activate it not from within FSX? I don't want to start FSX every minute to see if it works.

I now have the NGX I have tried to take it on a flight but it crashes as soon as fsx is finnished loading. I dont know why but I keep getting error messeges. Please help, my 70 dollars is about to go down the loo

Hi all;one of the things that I do after landing is watching my landing performance to improve it next time , but found out that no parameters nor flight controls, T/R movements are replayed, I just get the plane with sound replay and nothing else, is it normal or is there something wrong with my installation?

I installed the PMDG 737NGX and after it is installing a window comes up to Install the DirectX Setup. It Fails to activate because, 'A cabinet file for the installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid. Are you freakin joking. After waiting 2 and a half years you cant get this thing to work unless you take a cryptograph class which is given in the United States Navy which I served in for 12 yrs. Just want to add that patience seems to pay off. I too now have the NGX running quite well with a lot of help from this forum. I have hotfix3 installed and some great tweaks to my 737NG PFC and FSUIPC that were found from this group.. Just wanted to say thanks and just keep at it and you will have this incredible product running great. I too was loosing patience and am a home Cockpit builder and was thinking the NGX just wasn't made for a complex hardware platform. I was mistaken. So stick with it and I am sure those still working to get her stabilized on your platform; she'll settle in. Good luck and to all the forum contributors. Joe

Hi, the second time on different Airports on Ground I had the following experience: When editing LEGS in FMC suddenly there was a little explosion in front of the Cockpit and then the FMC was confused. I was not able to finish the FMC Setting, I had to reboot the Computer. Is it a developer sign for a crashed FMC or what is it ??? I don't know if it's just me but I find this aircraft to be the hardest to land smoothly out of all my FS addons (Even harder than the MD11X and 744X) It just seems to drop out of the sky on approach, and then when I flare, it's really sensitive and if I don't get it right I float or even climb. If I don't flare enough, I drop on the runway and give the tires a huge beating. There seems to be a really small margin of error during landing. Are there any tips from people on how to manage landing this bird? I'm still trying to figure it out. My usual loadout is 40 Flaps and VREF+5 with about 10% fuel remaining...I still have problems landing sometimes! Cheers Karan.

I experieced the loss of brakes issue for the first time just before my flight. Checked the Brake Temperature and it was at 0 and had Hydraulic Pressure. Found out it was my controllers briefly became disconnected for a split second and that caused it. You can tell if your brakes are working at the gate by doing the following. If you remove the chocks and then put the parking brake on and the FSX light that displays when the Parking Brakes are on doesn't stay steady your brakes are gone. Why ,with the newly downloaded version,do i need 4 units of right rudder in cruise?There is no fuel imbalance,and aileron trim is o units.without the rudder trim,I can see 3.5 units of right aileron yoke deflection,and the right roll spoiler is slightly up,with visible right aileron deflection,There are no active failures.

Has anyone else had this problem with blurry text on the left side of the CDU ? I just noticed it today and can't say for sure it was like this before the 3rd hotfix. It looks like this whether I use the high quality 3d vc or not. I have also tried changing my AA and AF settings but get the same results. Moving it around the screen also has no effect. Some menus are nearly impossible to navigate due to this. Also, is there any way to illuminate the CDU at night? Thanks!

Ladies and Gents My NGX is now running 100% perfect since Hotfix3 I have no panel freeze, No OOM and I have managed to make it run perfect with FSUIPC which as eliminated all the A/T, reverse on TD, autobrake etc issues also. I have had my FSX running now for over 8 hours - have not reset it, I have taken off from EGBB - with ASE running, and AES, using UK2000 scenery, REX HD clouds, UTX, GEX, and VFR photoreal scenery, running on 3 22 inch monitors at a 5040 resolution, using EZDOK and TrackIR5, flown it 2hr47 mins to LXGB(using aerosoft scenery) landed there, left it sitting there for a couple of hours(it got dark) - refueled and took off (having to use flaps 25) and fl…
