Hi fellas, So I can't seem to be able to get rid of this. I had a programmed STEP to FL370 from FL360 (FL361OPT/379MAX). I saw my S/C on my flightpath displayed on the MAP page. But before I could get to it during cruise, it switched to UNABLE. It doesn't really make any sense because I can manually change the cruise altitude and generate X% savings in fuel. I find that it seems to happen when I cross the waypoint the S/C is programmed on. Cheers.

Yesterday i was testing PMDG 737NGX and i was quite impressed.But today i was trying to start FSX again and it crashed with following information.AppName: fsx.exeAppVer 10.0.61637.0AppStamp: 46fadb14ModName: pmdg_737ngx.dllModVer 1.0.0.0ModStamp: 4e4a3aeffDebug: 0Offset: 00154c4d I'm not able to use FSX anymore.What can i do now ??? O'kay, it took me 2 weeks before I got my first CTD. I think this was due to late changing of arrival rwy in KPHL, but I've done that before many times in Europe without problems. I was flying with a Vroute suggestion of bojid 1 approach but had to change twice the dest rwy due to FS ATC and ASE co-operating so well :) ( I mean ASE is showing wind 200/8 but ATC directs to rwy 9L) . I have nothing installed for NA besides FS Genesis mesh and had to take HDG and ALT controls and then it appeared: CTD. Petteri PulkkinenEFNU

To all KLM, maybe its a local problem, but when i choose a KLM livery i can't open the HUD, its simply not present.Is this because KLM don't use it ?When i start with the default PMDG 737's the HUD is there.Can somebody explain? help ?Thanks in advanceRob

I've spent a great amount of time looking at pictures and looking at videos and trying to match in the simulator, the viewpoint a pilot (left seat) would see when he was sitting in his seat. I was hoping a real world pilot would be able to maybe post a screenshot of this view. Thanks in advance for the help. PS. I know in the manual that it gives a recommended viewpoint, I was just looking for how a actual pilot sitting in his real world 737 would view the cockpit.

Hello, Since the beginning, I have encoutered so many problems with LNAV. After change in wind direction or weather update, when it got directed off the magenta line a little, which is normal, it wasn't making any corrections at all, flying the same heading and attitude until the lateral deviation was for example as big as 50 nm! Dr. Vaos told me that that was because of the FSX default turbulence and thermal effects.So I switched that off and in the meantime I also got ASE, which is nice program in my opinion. The problem was solved and LNAV was always maintaining the magenta line as it should do, sometimes with small deviation of about 0.03 nm, which is no big deal. Unt…

Hi All, just downloaded the 737NGX and its great! But I somehow can't move freely around the cockpit as it is shown on the videos you can see on youtube or on the Angle of Attack web site. How is this free movement done? Do I need to download an add on to do that? Thanks.Nic

Dear Fellow PMDG 737NGX Developers, Does anybody know when the Caribbean Airlines repaint will be released? I saw other threads about it but no date given. I would have thought that 1. THE PAINT KIT WOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED ALREADY and 2. AT LEAST ALL OF THE REPAINTS THAT SAID WOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED WOULD HAVE BEEN. But that has not happened as yet. I have not received any factual information as to when these would be released to the public. I am really awaiting the 737-600 & 700 but I will NOT buy it until the Paint Kit and ALL of the repaints are given. Shane Pinheiro

Ok Have read some post and links regarding diffrent Autolands/ILS CAT etc. Any one that can explane or have good links for it. 1. ILS/Autoland is diffrent?2. CAT I, II/ III fully autoland or whats the main diffrents... Must admint that I set up my plane for full autoland in the FMC on each flights tho, im the one that likes drinking my thea while flying :D

I am trying (key word trying) to fly KLAX - KLAS. My route is LOOP6 DAG KEPEC2. I looked at Flightaware.com and they were flying it at FL270 or FL290. I decided to go 270 as it is a short hop to KLAS. My problem is that using FL270 or even lower I am getting UNABLE NEXT ALT on the CDU. What am I doing wrong and how do I correct it? BTW I loaded 1/3 fuel with a random pass/cargo setting if that matters. Thanks in advance for the help. Jim

Is there a way of totally clearing the FMS of a navigation plan, so you can start over, for example if you want to change destination entirely, or you just wanted to make sure there were no hidden errors in what you had input so preferred to begin again. Had a key word search through the Boeing manuals, but couldn't find anything. Any guidance or advice much appreciated! Best wishes, David

i tried an autoland the other day and everything was going alright excecpt the plane never startedt to descend once I was on the localizer and the glideslope and had clearance for landing from atc.I had the right numbers in such as 108.90 , thec course 045 in both places on the mcp, for runway 8r, heard the morse code if you want to call it, when I was about 25 miles out, I ALS0 HAD BOTH FD'S ON, but could not not get both ap's to work only one would show green and when I would put the second one on the other went off., so thus I would only have one autopilot working. So my question is what did I do wrong ? Ive done manyof these but never had a problem before, please he…

On the last couple of flights I have noticed that "Flare" is arming and working correctly, but I am never seeing "Rollout" annunciated at all. Not sure if I am missing a step or if it has changed since the latest hotfix. If anyone has any suggestions as to what is causing that it would be much appreciated.. Cheers G

hello,my previous problem has been solved, I reinstalled fsx. I think I downloaded to much crap onto it. Anyway now this is my problem, the NGX flies perfectly but nothing in the cockpit works. No PDF no FMC and none of the buttons work. Then after a little while I come up with a fatal error messege and it crashes. I really wish I hadnt wasted my money so please do help

Hi guys, Just wondering, how does one calculate the most appropriate assumed outside temperature for derated takeoffs? I can see there are Assumed temp limit charts and N1% difference charts for various derates available in the ops manual, but how do we actually go about calculating the more optimum assumed temperature for a takeoff? The tutorial flight provides a very elementary explanation to flex temps but it doesn't talk about deriving specific numbers. For example when 40C is used for OAT 15C Never really cared about it before the NGX came out, but since service based maintenance failures occur I guess the stress on the engines is simulated to some extent? (or not?)

Can someone please let me know how to "pop up" the 2D throttle stand. Can find the buttons to bring up the Overhead panel etc but there does not seem to be a throttle stand in the 2D cockpit or is it only to be seen in the Virtual Cockpit mode? Also, can this aircraft be flown from the FO seat or is it similar to the 737NG (FS9) where only the Captain seat is used to fly this. If so, how do you change seats???? Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks BraytonCycle
