ok, so I finally got my new computer and I see that after years (year?) the NGX has been finally released. I just finished setting my computer up today, and I install all these goodies, thinking my computer will blow FSX out of the water.... well I was wrong? I guess it's not particularly this plane, and I might have to look elsewhere, but getting 10 fps roughly, I'm not sure what tweak I can do to get another 15 unless I turn everything down FYI on highest settings my computer ran VRS F18 on it's highest setting as well without a problem (30 fpx max), all the setting almost maxed out at 1680x1050 come to put this NGX and the BAe and I'm only at around 10 fps.... computer…

So let's say you're flying the Janesville Five arrival into KORD. Link: http://dtpp.myairpla...6JANESVILLE.PDF If you're flying the Mason City (MCW) transition, you're told by the chart to expect to cross 15 NM west of JVL at FL180. I can do the math on it to figure out roughly what altitude I would cross at 15 miles out, and then continue that math to enter in an altitude value for JVL, but there has to be a better way. Can someone educate me real quick on how to input this in the LEGS menu? Thanks!

Dear All, I still have regular fatal error messages and CTD, althoug I have hotfix2. I have these messages mainly when flying online via IVAO. Do you have any idea what could cause this? I have core i7 3.8GHZ and GTX480, thus I do not think it is a problem of my computers performance. I am a bit fed up now, because I bought this product becasue I thought it will be more reliable than AirbusX, but it looks I was wrong. This product did not worth the price I paid for it, because I can not enjoy flying it. Best regards, Peter Onody

Hi guys, I'm a new guy,Signed up here to help and get help, like I need now. Got this problem with the NGX,After flying a while (30 mins +) I always get the Fatal Error message when pressing a button in de FMS or selecting a view by clicking right mouse button etc. (Might also be with other buttons etc.)I had this problem before a while ago and managed to fix it, but that was before I bought the PMDG 737NGX.So since I got this beautiful bird the problem occurs again, so I'm pretty sure this bird causes this problem since it worked fine before. Hello guys, I have noticed that the 737900 does not have the same dome light as the 737800. The 900 appears to have the same amount of light, like it only lights up part of the overhead and the back side, as to where the 700/800lights up much more, illuminating the entire cockpit. I have on UFO en c172 so I have not the slightest clue weather this is realistic or not. Thanks, Kevin Galloway.Sort bout iPads spell check... Hi i have done succesfuly the tutorial flight, after this without install anithing i decided to do a flight and during fmc setup after i set the performance page with any route or combination of fuel/load fsx stop responding and freeze forever without any reason, i have a fresh fsx setup with pmdg no meteo no tweaks. After this problem i've tried to do again tutorial and now doesn't work :(

Hi... I tried to follow all instructions on the manual but my plane doesn´t follow th course given by the FMC automatically under autopiloting. Now I ve seen that the autopilot entry in the aircraft.cfg is set to 0. Mustn´t it be 1 to use it correctly?I attached a thumbnail of the original aircraft.cfg to show what I mean.The same with autothrottle. Perhaps someone can give me the answer I need.

Hi guy's, First of all I would like to congrats all the PMDG Team for their so good work on the NGX. The forum support is also quite impressive because a solution is always find. So here I noticed a little "issue" that maybe the Team forget, or leave it like that intentionnally. In the Sim engines gauges are centered on the lower EICAS, but in the real one it is a little bit on the left side.... Not so important we can say, but anyway. I'd like to hear from those who have seen the dome light in action in the real thing. Is it really that white and cold?My impression from screenshots and youtube movies is that it's a lot more yellowish and warmer, but pictures and movies may be deceiving.

Hello forum. I normally dont save during flights, but recently ive saved a few times during the flights ive had and i've run into some pretty wiered stuff with the autopilot after this. Since there's been a hotfix for this(as far as i know at least) im starting to think maybe i am the one doing something wrong here. Isnt the "vor loc" button supposed to lit up when i engage it? At the point i try to engage it im about 10-15nm from the runway with LNAV, VNAV and authorttle armed. And also, i cant get the autopilot into "Land 3" mode, it stays in "Single CH" even though ive got both FD's on, both nav radios tuned and both course knobs turned... They way i try to engage the …

An oddity with starting the APU from a cold and dark panel is that if you load with another panel state first (eg NGX short) then reload with cold and dark the APU will not start on the first try - low pressure light and the fault light comes on and the APU doesn't start. If you then flip the APU switch to the off position and then again to the on and start position it does start. On the other hand, if cold and dark is the default startup state and you load the NGX with that panel state, the APU starts normally in one go. No big deal once you realise what is happening but confusing when getting up to speed with cold and dark starts. Bruceb

I'm hoping this is something easy to rectify. I run FSX on a widescreen 24" monitor and have a smaller 15" monitor that I place instruments, flightplans etc. In the case of the PMDG I find the obvious place to put the CDU is on this monitor. However, when I do this and click on any of the CDU buttons, then some of the sound disappears on the main monitor?? Not all sound, but most of the main sound. There may be a few instruments whirring away somewhere, but the main bulk of the atmospheric sound disappears until I click back on the main monitor. Can anyone offer some help. Cheers fellas....

Hey folks, just stumbled across this one a couple days ago... The brake accumulator gets depleted nicely with no hyd px and applying brakes a few times. Now one should know the accum is precharged with dry nitrogen at 1000 psi, which seems to be the case here. Now this depleting looks convincing when the accum was fully charged at 3000 psi. What the system seems to do though, is to just subtract a constant number on every brake application. After about six applications, the needle happily rests at a thousand psi. I have both the PMDG JS41 and 737NGX FSX addons The saved JS41 FPLs are stored into FSX\PMDG\FlightPlans and the 737 NGX ones into FSX\PMDG\FlightPlans\NGX When loading an already saved NGX FPL (via the CO-ROUTE select key), all the JS41 FPLs are listed first (are they NGX compatible ? that's another question) and the NGX ones are located at the end of the list (no need to open the NGX folder). When the saved FPLs first pages are displayed I can directly go to the end of the list just by hitting the PREV page button. My question : to avoid such a minor issue, is there a way to only select the NGX FPLs whose departure is the airport where the airplane is currently located,…

On the theory that the freezes/ CTDs result wholly or partly from RAM / RAM address depletion, try this (Windows 7): Control panel > Sound > Speakers > Properties > Advanced > Default format > 16 bit, 8000Hz (telephone quality). Those with long memories will recall that this was my pro-tem solution to the "disappearing textures" problem with the MD-11, until Bojote found the "Highmemfix" setting. In my case, albeit without extensive testing, it seems to have cleared-up the CTD issues I was occasionally experiencing. I hope this helps someone. Tim

Hello, It appeared that in the FS-setup, it is necessary that US system for units is active (menu Settings - General, International, Units of measure = U.S. System (feet, inches)).Thus preventing the PFD altitude in meters instead of in feet.I think this could be added to the Introduction or tutorial PDF (or both). Greetings all, I've noticed a strange problem flying the RNAV rwy 19 approach into KDCA. The first part of the approach is fine, but right before getting to the FONVI waypoint, the ND shows a big circle, and takes me on a 360 degree turn. (no, I havent entered a hold at SETOC in the FMC). This had happened 3x in a row. I've attached a few screenshots, perhaps someone has an idea what is going on. Many thanks. It concerns the TOGA takeoff routine.(FCOM Vol 2 page 224) After pressing TOGA the AFDS commands 10 degrees nose down (which it does)As can be seen on the PFD. At 60 knots it commands 15 degrees nose up !!! (which it doesn't) On the PFD it is only 12.5 degrees. I think this is a bug. Is everyone seeing this ????? Fred.
