In the 757/767 I can step through each leg to see if my route is correct. Now that I want to do a DME Arc ( DTMB ) and program it in the FMC I really would like to see if it has been programmed correctly before flying.Can I do the same as with the 757/767 ? Here how that looks on the ND of the 767.

I have never had the pleasure of having a terrain mode option on any aircraft I have flown in RL so this is an exciting new feature, but I am in the dark. Seems to be very little explanation about the workings of the display in the manuals. I understand the graphic coding but what about the two numbers on the left below the word "terrain"? What do they stand for? Are they distance from terrain? terrain elevation? ...?

I have just recently noticed that after I shut down the aircraft to cold and dark with absolutely NOTHING running and all power (ground, APU, battery) to off. I still hear a fan or something that sounds like air blowing. All my air systems and fans are off and of course there is no power to anything in the aircraft. There is no sound on the exterior but only on the interior. Is this as it is supposed to be? What then is this sound? Cold and dark should also mean QUIET unless ground services or something is connected. Any feedback on this will be appreciated.

Hi guys,For a few days I am encountering some strange trouble concerning mouse using within VC :Two examples : 1) The easy-to-use click spot for deploying HGS becomes hard to use : When I pass the mouse to the support post in order to lower the HGS, I can't see anymore the little hand cursor without pressing the left button of the mouse, and it becomes hard to get the HGS out, or to upper it once deployed.2) When I pass the mouse onto the course button to the MCP, same problem, nothing appears. I have to press the left mouse button, and even with that I only just can increase the course number and not decrease it .Everything goes well within 2D panel. I recently bough…

Hey everybody, in normal conditions, I'm happy with my system's overall performance. With heavy thunderstorms and rain (common these days in europe when you fly with real weather... ), my FPS drop a bit though. When building my system, I (at least think so) chose components, that would make overclocking possible (besides the boxed cooler).Does anybody have a comparison from his system (maybe somebody with an i5 too?) that shows if it's worth the risk (loss of warranty and so on), or at least any tips? Any help is very appreciated, thanks!

Hello! I thought that this problem only with me. But I have watched this video http://forum.avsim.n...uring-approach/ and undestood that everybody has it. What I mean? See this video from 06:12. Vref30=141knots. IAS=146knots (Vref+5). Flaps position=30. Vertical speed=900ft/min. And... Attitude=0 degrees. According to FCOM, attitude for final approach with IAS=Vref+5 must be more then 2 degrees.Dear PMDG Team, could you chek it? Screen from that video:

Where can I find the OAT listed ( in the VC)? I think I had the failure to climb to cruise altitude because of incorrect outside air temp. I restarted ASE and I'm fine now. I'd like to be able to check this now and then to be sure ASE is working correctly, or maybe if I've done something wrong. Thanks,Mark

Hello... my issue is the following: i start up in cold and dark state... and obviously i hear no sound of running engines... but when i move to an outside camera view and then i come back in the cockpit i hear the sound of the engines running... but the aircraft is still no powered... why?? Hello,Since I'm using the NGX, I'm always using a small program called 737NG fuel planner to plan fuel. Unfortunately it's always calculating in LBS, and as I'm dutch, I prefer using KGS.What I'm always curious about, how do real pilots calculate fuel? There must be some formulas? And how do you guys plan fuel?I partly know how to do it. You use ZFW, cruising altitude, trip distance. And in the end you add, minimum landing fuel, holding fuel, alternate fuel, taxi fuel, etc.Thanks in advance,

Just a tip for 2D-Panel users like me that could not see the runway on approach. Easy fix for that. Go to your FSX folder, Then Simobjects Folder, Then Airplanes Folder, Then PMDG 737-800NGX Folder, Then Panel Folder. Load up the panel.cfg file with windows notepad editor Scroll down until you see [VIEWS] Replace the View_Forward Line with the one below. VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=3.3, 0.0, 0.0 Got those numbers from the PMDG MD-11 panel and it works perfect. You can now see the runway on approach and you can also see your landing lights better on the runway when taking off. Give it a try. You only need to edit that one panel.cfg because the other 3 models of the NGX are aliased to…
