PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. Has anyone had this problem. Let me explain. In 2D view no problem - every screen works. In VC view, no display unit video and no knobs. What can cause this problem? What have I done about it? I downloaded the authentication code again as instructed, used 'run as administrator' without success. I then uninstalled PMDG 737 NDX and then reinstalled it. Same problem. I would appreciate help with this.regards Michael

    Just tested the 737-800 with a SFP equipped into SBRJ and the only thing i can say is wow, The approach in was difficult, and when i looked at the runway i thoughtm hang on a minute, this is gonna be a epic fail, then i touched down, and the thing just slowed down rapidly Well done to PMDG for this excellent addon, enjoying it immensely!!! I reccommend trying the 800 with a SFP into SBRJ (i'm gonna attempt a 900 soon!!) cheers guysEnjoy your day!

    Ok I love the NGX and learning to fly this beauty is a threat. In the tutorial on we are taking off with Derate 2 and reduce temp to 40c, with flap 5. I'm using TOPCAT and I tried to recreate those condition. I have no problem getting exactly that same condition (the V speed are close tough not a match, but it's certainly because the profile is for PMDG old 737). Though if I choose to let the flap setting on "optimum" the 'best' configuration for this take-off is derate 2 reduce temp at 42c and flap 1.Why flaps 5 was choosen in this tutorial instead of 1? Also how do I choose the best climb derate? Thanks for your help, Sincerely,Jeremy

    I've had them all now. I have only had one complete flight, and it was with the generic PMDG 800WL and ezca and no other add-ons. The other flights have had rex 2, or the WN aircraft livery.Am I correct that PMDG does not want any other reports? As you can see from my sig, I don't think it should be my system that caused this (unless related to win 7 64 bit).Actually, though, my CTD was technically only a crash to the FTX opening screen.     Okay folks, Either I'm dense, fail, or just not getting something but maybe you all will be able to help me! I have ImagineSim's KMCI for FSX, and I have the -beautiful- '37 NGX. And I'm having trouble getting the Jet-ways to work at all.. I haven't made the move to AES yet because of some personal reasons more or less, and I know ImagineSim's standard way to get the jetways to Move is to put a specific Freq, into the Nav2 radio. but I can't seem to get it to work at all.     Hello fellow 737NGX Pilots, Heres one for yah that I just came by while flying into ATL. I was descending on the ERLIN9 and I went to resize my FMS and I got a freeze up and CTD never had that happen before and I have the latest and greatest Hotfix 3 installed.

    After completing over a couple dozen test flights I have noticed several recurring inconsistencies from RW flight. The five most prevalent are: 1. Using HDG SELECT (with HDG DISPLAY selected in the setup options) AP follows a wind corrected "track" instead of the exact "heading" selected. 2. On miss-approach go-around the throttles correctly power-up to GA setting, APP mode and AP correctly disengage, and aircraft levels off and then pitches up correctly to maintain selected airspeed.     Ok so I was impesssed with how well Orbx Scenery stands up i decided to make a short video of the Visual arrival at Townsville Australia just for an experiment really.     I am doing the Tutorial 1, everything sets up Ok, all switches and dials work fine, as per manual when i apply throttle and it spools up to 40% i hit ta/ga hidden switch after takeoff and airplane passes 400 feet i hit cmd autopilot , plane level light touch on controls, 5 to 10 seconds after turning on autopilot plane freezes frozen screenshot no buttons or dials will work, engines produce constant humm, this is as far as i can get into any flight i have tried about 6 flights and all same result, latest answer i read in forums i have reduced all settings , i don't know what to doD.OrrI also don't get any error message

    Ì've been panel freeze free now for weeks since installing HF3 However I was in the CH hold setting up for an approach into Kai Tak(small point here the NGX does a very weird entry into holds doesnt seem to know what it doing) anyhow I selected the exit hold button - which showed the hold being cancelled(shouldnt this do like other boeing and arm it first? and fly the short hold back to the fix before moving onto the next point in FMC) Well my plane was banking to turn to next fix - only to notice my ND isnt changing at all - so a quick type on the CDU keypad and there it is again a panel freeze - if i change page then the text i just typed can now be seen in the scratchp…

    Hello,I'm having some problems with the viewing position inside the VC. I have this problem with all aircraft, but in the NGX it's the most annoying, i'll explain why.When I do a flight, take off, and for example turn right or left, the viewpoint is not centered anymore. I also have this during landing.and pretty much in the whole flight. This is not that much of problem, until I open HGS. Because the viewpoint is not always totally centered, that means I can't read part of the HGS. For example the speed or altitude tape. Then I have to manually center the viewpoint using, CTRL, SHIFT and the arrow keys. This is also not that much of a problem, unless you're landing munua…

    Hello,Since I'm using the NGX, I'm always using a small program called 737NG fuel planner to plan fuel. Unfortunately it's always calculating in LBS, and as I'm dutch, I prefer using KGS.What I'm always curious about, how do real pilots calculate fuel? There must be some formulas? And how do you guys plan fuel?I partly know how to do it. You use ZFW, cruising altitude, trip distance. And in the end you add, minimum landing fuel, holding fuel, alternate fuel, taxi fuel, etc.Thanks in advance,

    Hello folks Does anyone know how to enable the Vertical Ascent Speed on the a-p in the 737? I tried the v/s switch and set climb for 2500 fpm, but it didn't work and the aircraft climbed far too quickly, had I let it continue it would have stalled. PLEASE HELP! I have watched numerous tutorials, but none include how to do this. It's really annoying because I can fly the aircraft perfectly apart from that. Thanks

    I was flying from Boston to Buffallo and en-route one leg is from VOR CAM to VOR SYR with a track 290. SYR was dialed into VOR1 with exact that radial of 290.NGX_01 shows the map flown by the AP in LNAV mode. All looks good except that the VOR1 pointer is off by about 5 degrees to the left.NGX_ 02 shows the same situation but with VOR1 display. It switches to HDG up, which is correct to my understanding, but the VOR deviation bar is off to the left. If I would fly the AP with NAV, it would take a different course which irritates me.On NGX_03 I have changed the radial dial to 285 - the 5 degree offset observed at the beginning and the VOR display then would look correct bu…

    In the 3d cockpit I find it very hard when it's dark to see all the knobs.I do use Track IR and can zoom in very well but I can't imagine it is so dark in real life too. Can that be changed, or can I do that myself? Regards,Robin
