Robert and PMDG Team,Please, let me disagree on releasing the SDK with SP2, because this will mean still a long wait, while this aircraft really NEEDS FS2Crew as soon as possible, otherwise half of the realism would be missing. Compared with other airplanes, it does not have a copilot voice, so, just to do an example, I don't even know when I reach Vr during takeoff, and I can't look at the instruments, it's not realistic! To tell the truth, apart from tweaking I haven't flown this airplane a single hour till now, since it's like flying the real 737 without copilot. Is it possible in real life? NO! Minor things first, STILL cannot use O key after ALT pressed. (I usually use shortcuts not only NGX but also whole computing)Press ALT key, then press O key for selecting Options category, but NGX toggles Strobe Light because I set O for this light.Don't say I should press O key while ALT key is pressed. I have 2 questions about starting engines:1. Is is avisible to start both engines at the same time? Or should I do one at a time? I've been doing both at the same time.2. (a,b,c)On a cold dark start up, when I start the APU nothing happens until I pull the toggle APU gen toggle switch down. Is that normal? Why are there 2 APU gen toggle buttons? and do I need to pull both down? What is the purpose of the APU gen toggle anyway?

Today I bit the bullet and went out and bought Windows 7 64-bit to replace XP 32-bit.. I formatted my PC and did a fresh install. The only software I have loaded so far is anti virus and FSX and the PMDG 737-NGX and MD-11. After 3 flights without a CTD, OOM, Panel Freeze or the need to reboot between flights, I am feeling good about my upgrade. FSX is running a lot smoother, loading scenery a lot faster and not suffering any of the slow graphics loading I used to get with the 737 and Md-11. I've notice that my break temps do not seem to increase (or read anything other than 0) after prolonged breaking. Is this modeled?

The NGX was working OK last time I looked at it, about a week ago. Today, I've turned on my PC and FSX, only to find myself greeted by blank guages etc and the 20 second "countdown" not working. If I click a few knobs to see if there's any life in the thing, FSX crashes reporting the "Fault module name" as "PMDG_737NGX.DLL" .Any ideas? Tim

After Ryan's comment about the Virtual Adress Space, I disabled my Eyefinity group and started using my old Matrox again.No CTD's any more. Although, most CTD's happened when entering the transistion altitiude in the FMC, it seems that even this cannot crash the sim any more. I've been using/stressing the sim for about 2 days now and believe me, I used it a lot! Again: thanks Ryan!! Bert Van Bulck P.S.: complaining/whining does help :)

Hi All I am thinking of buying the Ifly 737 for FSX as well whilst I wait for SDK etc, would be nice to have both, has anybody brought it and if so what is the performance like IE is it hard on the system, please no ###### responses or slanging just after neutral feedback as I know this post has the potential to turn into a riot.I am sure both products are excellent but my main concern is how it would run performance wise , thanks

Captains- We are very (very) close to having a completed SP1 for the PMDG 737NGX, but it is not going to release tonight as originally hoped. (Reminder: The 23SEP projected date had a "subject to change" disclaimer on it!) The SP1 is a bit of a moving target because we want to make certain that it and the PMDG 737NGX 6700 are fully in sync with one another in order to simplify everyone's lives. The current plan is to release the SP1 and then follow it shortly there-after with the 6700 expansion. FWIW: I was having random freezes/lockups of FSX that required a hard reboot. After much troubleshooting, I discovered a bad Western Digital Velociraptor hard drive. I replaced that drive with a known good one and everything seems to be fine now. Unfortunately when FSX froze, it did not leave anything in the logs. BTW, the hard drive tested good when performing a CHKDSK and also when using the WD diagnostic software. Apparently this behavior is fairly common of the velociraptor hard drives; just Google them and read all the weird problems others are having. Hi Guys. Could someone please explain to me what the CWS Autopilot is, what it is used for, and what phase of flight should I be using it at? I have read FCOM V2 4.10.17/18 but the description seems very brief, also I am a bit confused with the displays on the FMA of CWS-P & CWS-R.I get the indication sometimes when the APP button is pressed and I have no active Roll Mode shown on the FMA. Also to my knowledge this feature is only fitted on the B737 and no other Boeing aircraft,could someone also explain why that is, I know its alot of question guys,but any help would be appreciated. Hello, I'm having a problem when using FS Build imported flight pans with the NGX. I create a flight plan with FSB and export it to my PMDG flight plan folder. At this point everything is good. The distance on the navlog is correct.When I enter it in the FMC, the distance will be thousands of miles more than what it should be. I thought it might be a different waypoint of the same name, but when I go to the plan mode it shows the route as it should be. Looking on the legs page or the progress page it's incorrect. Now if I use a plan created with vRoute, I don't have any problems at all. Has anyone else run into this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hello I recall once I installed NGX I was able to read the closed caption when I set my mouse over the trim wheel. Now after all the tweak being made, I dont have it anymore. How can I get it back???? Thanks David

Sine this was posted in a Topic that should have been closed, and where all posts will soon be deleted, it seemed worthwhile putting it into it's own thread. It is one of the most well written, and well reasoned posts I have seen here in a long while. This "trend" has been the the norm for a very long time for complex multi-feature s/w products. I recall moving to this model late 90's. We "rolled out" features on a regular "milestone" scheduled basis. At each planned milestone, the product was evaluated and released based on the maturity (feature and regression testing state) of the build. Hi All I really struggle trying to follow the FD VNAV manually using the CH Yoke due to the fact that you just dont get any feedback from the yoke. Do you guys suffer from this as well or is it just my poor piloting skills. I find due to the poor movement with the yoke I am always chasing and overcontrolling, I try to use trim but does not seem to make it much easier, eventually i get frustrated and just switch on the autopilot

Hi. I did a stupid thing and messed up my color options file. I did back it up, but somehow that got screwed up as well. Can anyone post the original 737NGX_Colors.ini, please, because I would hate to have to reinstall the plane. Thanks.
