Since avionics calculate cruise wind, why isn't automatically tracked by the fmc?

Hello,my ngx is running near perfect smooth 30fps in vc never had a CTD,I downloaded the aug 16th hot fix weeks ago? do i still need to download the hot fix 4 or wait for SP1? sorry for the people who are having trouble with there performance, it crazy some people here have a rig that nasa would be proud of and are still having troubles?my rig is bog standard with just the ******* cfg,external limiter,also have done what the manual said with settings, plus mouse icon down in the toolbar tray when not in use. ps... i have posted a backing up files question in the pmdg gereral forum can any help me with that? many thanksjames.

I realised soon enough that my older liveries were not too good. So I started FSX with the Cessna, changed to the PMDG livery ( WL) the only one left on the list And then went ot the airport of choice. My fps went from VC of 18+ to 33-45 ????? Outside view from 40 to 90 nice flightmaybe throttling back effect Im not sure

from cold and dark, I do the following, battery switch to onstandby switch to on move IRS from off to nav I get ON DC indicated above the IRS selectors, It goes out on the left selector but stays illuminated on the right selector. After a short period I then get an alarm tone, I did not get this prior to HF4. Any ideas? Matt

How do you get to the alignment countdown? Is it a CDU page, or is it something you select on the IRS panel?

I'd just like to say , every flight i perform now i hand fly upto cruise level . Thanks PMDG for developing an absolute masterpiece which has enabled me to do so . ( must be doing something right as ATC have not said Speedbird xxx where you heading ?) I've tried handflying the descent but still need to perfect this as i do have problems keeping the speed down ,but i'll keep practising till i crack it . Happy Flying Malcolm

This is probably a stupid question, but am I correct that while on approach, the NG will autotrim to help maintain control even if autopilot is disengaged? I feel like I saw somewhere that it does.

I dont know if there is any email notification for the support page, but if there is, its not working for me. If there isnt, it would be a good addition as not everybody is checking this area frequently.

Flying autopilot vnav and lnav. Passing fl 200 / 250 or so the aircraft lowers clb rate or even levels up at times passing fl 300, and then takes a loooong time to target alt. Anything wrong or is this normal procedure ( acting economic clb ) ?Cruising at fl 340 or higher, the aircraft doesn't fly even but with an angle of 5 degrees up, whereas it doesn't happen at lower altitudes. A little disclaimer: I have NOT yet finished reading all the manuals. In process, but just not yet.. I am not complaining, just asking! If this is the fail of not RTFM, just tell me that and point to the corresponding chapter please! Have you guys also met the problem with OPENING the front left doors (above the air stairs)? It acts somehow in its own way for me. I dont rush with pressing the button many times. This happens with C&D even after starting the APU and etc. Sometimes it will open after 5th -6th time I press the button (LSK on FMC), sometimes it wont open even after 10th time. A (newbie) question: Does TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD affects the way the NGX VC looks ? Going from TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024 to TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 (in my fsx.cfg) doesnt seem to impact the VC. I am probably doing something wrong . The VC looks still quite good but not as amazing as for example the AOA NGX intro video.And yes my global texture resolution slider is set to very high. I've tried to save a flight plan from the CDU after entering all the waypoints. I click on the <SAVE option and it says that the plan is saved without errors. But I've tried many times to load a saved plan and never worked. I'm missing something? Regards!

Hi I do not hear any call out on V1 nor I hear anything from ground for pushback. I did make the necessary changes in my FMC, not sure what I am missing. Any help would be appreciated. David

The recent HOTFIX 2987 still does not correct the 737's FSX Multiplayer UDP Flooding, or its associated Free Flight performance reduction. After 2 MONTHS, and with a predicted ONE Week to the release of SP1, it seems unlike that the UDP flooding will be fixed by SP1. When PMDG first released the 737NGX, I approached them, highlighting the problems, with specific technical examples of this mechanism, and the offer of FREE help, I was told privatly, and then quite inappropriatly in public, in this forum by PMDG that they did not want my help, and I was to stop communicating with them. In the aircraft cfg file, the hotfix number is stil 2922 for the WL version (800 only). The 800 (with no winglets) shows hotfix 2987 as well as for the 900/900WL. Could somebody tell me why. Thanks and regards

Just purchased/installed the 737NGX & hotfix. Got the aircraft up & running & completed a few flights okay. However I don't seem to be able to view the VC: when I cycle the views they cycle between the 2D display, the view out the pilots windows & a couple of panels but no VC. If I select 'virtual cockpit' from the views menu all I get is the view out of the pilot's forward window. What am I missing/doing wrong?

I just installed the new hotfix tryed to install my liveries but i keep getting a message that says(this texture folder already exists) Texture.AAHow to i fix that so i can install my aircraft. Any solutions? Jay

Last night while flying the Toronto Tension, I noticed the mouse pointer had switched from the normal arrow to the hand. I now get the hand as a mouse pointer all the time flying the NGX, NO arrow just the hand. Probably something I did during the flight. Anyone have a solution, before I do a trouble ticket? Thank You
