Hi folks 1st up - thanks to PMDG for a great looking add on; the proof will be in the flying, but for now ... looks great! And thanks for the sensible pricing. On to my question, and sorry if this seems impertinent or impatient [we've seen a bit of that of late ;) ].... Is the Caribbean Airlines repaint still on its way? I noticed it missing from the initial set of downloads, and notice more than one Trini on the forums who, along with me (that makes at least 2, if not 3 people!!) who would no doubt appreciate it for the oft-overlooked-by-flight-sim corner of the world. All the best Tristan

Hi! I must say I really love this product, and thus it's a shame that I have to post this topic. I'm having really bad problems with my NGX. After loading the aircraft the panel in the VC apears and everything is fine then one of the following problems occure. 1. The aircraft loads properly but the AI-traffic disapeares and you only see the shaddoes of the other aircraft2. I can't see the ATC window3. The NGX disapears in the same manner as the AI-aircraft (but the AI aircraft are uneffected)4. the NGX partly disapears. Parts of the engine and gears disapear.5. everything is working fine but all of a sudden the whole screen goes black and you can't see anything, just hear…

Hi everybody, first of all I would like to thank PMDG Team for this Awesome 737NGX. I've been off the air these days and I just bougth a new computer with W7 64 bits and I need to solve a few doubts. If I download again from PMDG site the package, does it include the 4 Hotfixes? or do I have to patch the original package with the hotfixes? If I have to patch... is it enough with the last one (Nr. 4) or do I have to patch individually each hotfix in order? Thanks

Hello Everyone, Wow, my first post!! Been a customer for years, Loving the new NGX!! I recently got a copy of Photoshop CS5 and I am completely deficient but learning. I do understand layering and I successfully painted the Legacy NG version with Fireworks MX2004. I am trying to start by just making a plain white NGX. I succeeded in compiling the plane in FSX(creating the .dds files) and my daytime textures are showing, but having a problem with the tail, wings and engines' night textures...it's ugly. When turning on the respective lights(wing, logo), It looks as though it turns on the daytime textures instead of the "light maps" as seen in the alpha channel layers. Cou…

I try to set the transition alt to 6000f in the CDU, which is the transition alt in the UK. Not like the US were it is 18000f. But on desent, I get a amber warning that the altimeter is not set to local, when below 18000f? This is too soon, why is it not 6000f as desired? In the old PMDG I remember being able to pre-set the QNH, from STD to local, before transition. Is there something I am missing in the FMC, or does the captain and F/O HPA have to be synchronized? jools

This is only for people that have a few second delay freeze at various points in a flight but it always resumes after a couple seconds. If you have a Freeze and a Crash then this Poll does not cover that.

I seem to recall seeing in tutorials that the cabin altitude is set to the final cruising altitude on the pressurisation panel. If this is the case then I don't understand why this is required. Surely the cabin altitude is slowly increased/ decreased to a maximum of around 8000 feet (to avoid passengers passing out). Why would the system need to know the maximum cruising altitude in that case? What am I missing?ThanksGraeme

Hello gents: Currently on a flight and testing out the new hotfix. I think that the step climb logic still needs some tweaking. Cruising at FL370 with a gross weight of 147.2 and ZFW of 131.5 and cost index 57. The trip CRZ ALT is FL373 and though I know the aircraft is currently too heavy to step up to FL390, I enter the new altitude in the step climb box and it under the "step point" line on the CRZ page it says "NOW". However, the ND shows the Step climp point being a good 300nm away and still yet the Progress page indicates that the step point is at "0612z/-999727NM" with 670NM to destination. Gideon Ward

I really enjoy watching wing view even when takeoff and landing.Switching views removes additional windows, so it is painful everytime I press keyboard ALT-V-I, then choose Zoomed.. For that reason, it would be really appreciated SP1 contains it's keyboard command..I've seen this topic somewhere but can't find it so writing here.. And also expecting SP1 fixes few minor bugs I posted, too. It would be nice to control Transponder mode but I think it's little bit useless because FSX cannot control SquawkBox or FSINN..

I posted a reply on 9/21 (I can't remember the screen name and they didn't sign their post) regarding 737 routes. The OP disappeared within minutes.Just curious, was this deleted by the original poster, the forum administrator or lost to cyberspace? Thanks

* Wrong title, sorry. it's VOR. During VOR/DME offset approach (app course is different to runway heading) with FAC & G/P armed,is it normal FAC tries to capture Dashed Runway Centerline rather than LNAV course andG/P deviation is based on 3.0 degrees for E/D instead VNAV path? (rather higher than VNAV path)I read the whole FCOM and Training documents but could missed some conditions or characteristics of IAN. When I turn into Dashed runway line, it captures FAC as expected and also G/P does. in this image, RWY HDG is 239, VOR/DME CRS is 245. RKTU, VOR DME Rwy24R.(Both FD on, both Nav tuned to correct VOR, both CRS set to approach course.(245)) I'm very happy IAN has …

I am trying to reduce thrust manually from TO/GA power to climb thrust at around 1,000' (I know I can program the FMC to do it, but that is not what I want to do here). According to FCOMv2 (page 4.20.13), after I climb through 800' AGL and I get ARM annunciated on the PFD, I should be able to reduce to climb thrust by pressing N1 on the MCP. However, this does not appear to work - the green light on the N1 button does not come on, and the airplane continues with TO/GA thrust. Has anyone tried this and seen it working?

Hello folks, I always notice and can't figure out why arming autobrakes for RTO is only possible with idle or near to idle thrust. Even when applying normal breakaway thrust autobrake won't arm anymore. What I mean by that is, the DISARM light won't go out. And it's definately not dependent on thrust, only thrust lever angle. Pulling them back a tiny bit, and zap, autobrakes arm. Place to OFF, add a tiny bit of thrust, select RTO, bam, don't arm. Could play this game all day although I don't get it.I understand autobrakes will disarm after landing when advancing thrust levers, but why would they do so when trying to arm RTO?

I have only had a Complete Freeze once since the Day the NGX was released. However I had these little mini freezes where the flight would resume after 2 or 3 seconds and it would happen a couple times during a flight. I also would have CTDs when loading up the NGX but they are all gone now and I am using HotFix 4. Here is what I did. CTD on loading NGX To avoid the CTD when loading up the NGX the solution for me was to unplug my Saitek X52 Pro and Rudder pedals from the USB ports, when loading up the NGX. I do not think this problem is just limited to the X52, X52 Pro because I saw somebody else with GoFlight Modules and USB Hubs who had same problem and this fixed his CT…

as probably all of you i have flown nothing but the ngx since it was released. just for the fun of it i jumped into the pmdg 747 a minute ago and i must say........ i was shocked! i used to be amazed by it but i think the ngx completely "ruined" it... my first thought was that it looked like a cartoon! not sure if that is good or bad but the guys at pmdg sure have made a big step forward from the 747. i think the md11 is somewhere in between these two. but even the 11 is not as enjoyable anymore. but who cares, flying the ngx i don't even miss any of the other planes!

I am putting more miles on my British Airways 737-800 than I thought I would. It is a lovely aircraft. However, more problems are arising:- 1. Climbing out of PANC (Anchorage), all of the DUs froze completely. All other panel functions worked OK and the AP controlled the aircraft well. I clicked on the EFIS DU and when it expanded to the 2D version, it was working OK! When I clicked on it to return to the 3d panel, it was still frozen at the original state. I tried clicking on all the DUs and the same thing happened, when expanded, theye were OK, but when in the 3D panel, theye were frozen. I then saved the whole AC in FS by pressing the " ; " key and reloaded this saved …

Man, I don't know what happened but I can't select any of the new NGX aircraft to fly. Either FSX right after the selected aircraft displays in the "Free Flight" window or it crashes after the PMGD countdown before the cockpit displays. I uninstalled the aircraft and re-installed it twice and it didn't help. I can fly the default (Trike) without problems but as soon as I try to load the B738 or B739 aircraft it crashes FSX - hard. I can't even use Windows to get rid of the application process. I have to shut down the computer at the PSU. However, before shutting down the system, I can use other applications - just not FSX. I tried both 3rd-party and default scenery …

Hey,I have just disconnected myself from the VATSIM network due to my aircraft going haywire!I was just about to touchdown on runway 05L at Manchester when all of a sudden the aircraft lifted speed dropped into the red! I attempted to raise the gear but this would not happen. I applied full thrust but my speed was constantly up and down. I tried to execute a missed approach however the aircraft was banking to the left and I couldn't do much with it. The autopilot was disconnected I tried to raise the flaps again this did not happen!I how no idea what happened.Very disappointed!
