I keep getting unable next altitude, whats wrong ? :(

Hi, I have a short question: For planing my descent I am used to load a waypoint manualy 40nm away from the aiport/rwy with the following constraints: 240/10000. In general I would like to descent to this waypoint with a descent rate of 1500v/s. To do this, I am used to load this waypoint on the decent page (I thinK: R3). When the v/s rate shows 1500, I initiate the descent. However, during cruise it is not possible for me to load a waypoint manualy on the NGX. The question is why? Thank you for your answers. Markus

I wonder if anyone has got to the bottom of this problem. I see a few other posts about it but no solutions as yet.The problem arises after a landing with autobrakes on, I reverse thrust and at 60 - 70 kts I set throttle to idle and reset autobrakes and after that my brakes wont work. I use the period key for the brakes and dont have them mapped to any other device and when I check the failures page it states that there are none.I should add that the parking brake combination of cnrt + period key does still work and that the brakes work fine while taxing for departure.I am using a Toshiba Laptop, core two duo 2.4,4 gb ram, ati 512m Gpu.Any suggestions?ThanksDarryl Critchl…

Good Morning, I had an issue that I thought was related to Land 3 (earlier post) but alas, it doesnt appear to be soley stuck on that. I completed 3 or 4 flights without a hitch. The last 3 flights, while on approach, the autopilot disconects without input while on final approach (1/4 to 1 mile from touchdown). Yes, I have both FD's on, yes the ILS is on both radios, and yes when Land 3 is enabled I have both CMD's set. Any idea why this would be happening?

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum so go easy! Only just got NGX installed last night so haven't had much time on it yet but was wondering how I get the aircraft into the cold and dark state? Also, does this mean all engines, power etc are off? Cheers, Jonny.

I've been able to use the NGX since it was released and now suddenly, I cannot.I recently was asked for my Registration Key again after selecting the 800WL in Free flight Main Menu (I don't know why it asked for it after more than a month of using it).Regardless, I entered it, and it would not accept it. I then decided to re install the NGX and then I installed the latest 25 SEPT Hotfix and now I am getting this error when I press "Activate", after entering my key. :SAny help?!

With the 737-600/-700 expansion package being released in the coming weeks, does anyone at PMDG know which liveries are going to be included in the release? I have not yet seen a list like they announced prior to the -800/-900 release. I have been very pleased with the 737 NGX. I am so glad that I didn't settle for the stupid iFly 737 for FSX... the PMDG product was well worth the wait, and I can't wait to add the -600/-700 to my hangar, to be followed by the ERs.Keep up the good work PMDG! Hi guys, I just bought a new brand computer for fsx and PMDG products. I bought the 737 NGX few days a go. I have already tried to fly and all seems to work well. But here is the problem, when I try to install a new livery downloaded from the PMDG site, just after almost a second after pressing "install", site pops up a message that the livery manager stopped working. I have already tried to install the hotfix and the new config files that I have found here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/343006-livery-and-livery-manager-issues-how-to-resolve/ but nothing has changed. Hi everybody, i just installed last hot fix and i had no problem (no ctd, freezing) but i had small bug, when i turn on the strobe lights, taxi lights or even landing lights i cannot see the light effect on the ground, the lights itself are work perfectly i just cannot see the light blink on the ground like strobe light for example. Can you guys tell me what happen with the light effect? is this because of my graphics? ThanksRegards,Emil

Hello,since installing HF4 I've been getting consistent crashes, about 30 seconds after loading B738WL is done. Modern PC running Win 7 64 SP1, FSX SP2, i7 on X58 Asus MB, 6GB hi-speed RAM, no other programs running, default scenery. Worked fine following every previous HF.Deleting FSX.cfg solves this for one operation.

Hi chaps (and chapesses too I hope). I am experiencing the strangest behaviour, and I'm reluctant to say it's a "bug" 'cos no-one else has reported anything like this: I'll be flying along nice and happily then suddenly the dust-cover or what ever you call it on the base of the throttles acts as if someone's just hooked it on a fishing line, and it stretches out across the cockpit, through the fuselage and off into the distance (see screenshots). When this happens, everything in the cockpit goes crazy. The air-conditioning, fuel and hydraulics fail. N1 and FF just continually swing between zero and maximum, and there is a continuous alarm that I've never heard except unde…

Hello: Sometime a go, (months, if not a year) I had read on here a post by one of the staff that if you own the PMDG 747 and are happy with the frame rates, the performance of the PMDG737 will be equal to or better than that. While my system is an older system, I do run the PMDG747 very succesfully on it. So, I just wanted to see if that is still an accurate statement before I purchase. Hi all, Well, I installed the new hot fix thinking it would be an improvement, and after 20 minutes successful flying I've had a few issues. PLEASE don't tell me it's my rig because it's set up perfectly. Problem one:Whilst using this hotfix and following the AOA training video to the word, I smelt something strange...Go outside and what do I find? My garage on fire. I've noticed that other posts make mention of the gap or join marks in the aircraft fuselage after repainting. I have a similar problem , in that, I can't get the alignment between fuse 2 and fuse 3 to align correctly. I paint within the guidelines of the paintkit, have repainted many times, but still have the problem. I know the fuselage is aligning properly because the windows are straight and in their correct position, when viewed in FSX, but not the paint. Help, anyone?

A couple of days ago I experienced (again when landing at EHAM) a very close to OOM situation. However, I managed to roll to a gate even if I got outside some graphic anomalies. After reaching the stand I made the big mistake to switch to external view and saw the NGX standing there as a skeleton. As the sim still reacted to inputs, I decided to turn down some of the settings by starting with switching off Ultimate Traffic 2, when toggling through different views, nothing changed even after saving and reloading the situation. Recently I was flying at night with the SAS 738 winglets livery. When selecting wing view i noticed that i could see the PMDG logo on the winglet instead of the SAS logo. No issue in daylight. Haven´t tried other liveries.

The optimum altitude indicated by the FMS differs from what the planning/dispatch charts in the FCOM indicate would be the optimum altitude. For example, the FCOM volume 1 page 369 shows an optimum altitude of 34500 for a weight of 65000 kilograms, but the FMS indicates an optimum altitude of FL377 for this weight. Bug? Normal behavior? PEBKAC?

After I defined key commands through the CDU, I was expecting the definitions to be there the next time I started FSX (assuming Key Commands is a global option within the NGX). However, they were not saved between FSX sessions. I then saved the panel after defining the Key Commands and again they were not there from one FSX session to the next even after loading the panel I had saved. Is there any special saving that needs to be done ? I thought defining the Key Command and then EXEC in the CDU would do a save. Please let me know if anyone has had the same problem. Thanks,Zach
