Well i must say that this has been my best experience overall in flight simulation at all and i want to say that is has been a big step in my own evaluation of being a flight simulator user . afterall the Maddog is not the king any more.. Neverless i am a simulator and not a pilot so please give me a chance afterall i do not have AOA video yet :-) What is on my mind is takeoff, I find my self often after V2 and in air the N1 has the speed pile down instead of up . Can a reel pilot or a bright fellow explain what they do just after V2 ? Thanks Michael

I keep getting lock-ups whenever I key in my cruise altitude on the FMC. Tried it 3 times and it locks up at the same point, any idea what this could be?

I'm referring to the control column A/P Disconnect Switches (Not the bar on the MCP).Are these switches modeled on the NGX?I'd like the option of double tapping to avoid the pesky aural alert and Autoflight Status Annunciator illuminating after disengaging the autopilot.Ashley Frew.

Is there a way to increase specifically the flaps sound level somewhere in the NGX config files ? I really enjoy this sounds (wing view) and find slightly too low compare to what you hear in the real aircrfat. thank you

I love the product but anytime I do an approach at night the landing lights illuminate underneath the aircraft but not ahead on the runway during approach. They need to be re-aimed. The taxi and turnoff lights illuminate NOTHING. And tho the landing lights do light the runway ahead once on the ground they only do so in total night but not in dusk or dawn.

Okay, so starting cold and dark. I go through all procedures to start the engines. When I get 20 N2 I give the fuel... Display shows engine powering up, although the sound is not there and when moving the throttle I get my alarm, the engines do not react and the egt, n1, and n2 gauges freeze. Only when I press cntrl-e do the sounds begin as if the engines begin spooling up and finally the throttles become responsive.??? Any thoughts... I do know I have the highmem issue where my external model disappears. But I don't know how this could be related?I also had an issue with vnav not working on the first flight, but selectable in the second flight. I checked my fmc vertical …

I cannot get the 737 to consistently give me the Morse code to use for identification of the LOC. I have tried several variations of pressing the buttons on the COMM panel for each radio. I have also used the CTRL 1 through 4 with no success? I have also looked in the INTRO to see if I am missing something and cannot seem to find an answer. If anyone has a solution please let me know. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that AI traffic tends to keep quite a distance from the NGX during taxi, holding in line for takeoff, etc. It's almost as if the model radius is set to some huge number, though this being FSX, maybe some other factor is the cause. In fact, I'm not sure if MDL Radius plays any role in FSX with regards to AI traffic. In any event, it's not a huge problem. It's just weird being in line for takeoff and having the next aircraft stopped about 200 feet behind you. Maybe she just needs a bath? :) Oh, and this doesn't appear to be an AFCAD issue as I've seen it happen at quite a few different airports.

I was using the 737ngx and it was working perfectlyI installed a livery ( Westjet to be exact) and then things went haywire Now the 737 ngx requires me to re-activate ( but it wont take my lic ) and it crashes the sim every time I try, I now crash the sim every time I try to load any of the 737ngx liveries I followed the thread on livery corruption and went through the steps as prescribed but I have the same problem. Do I reinstall ? is that the best option and will it fix the above issue. Do I have to clean up any registry items? Just as the title says, the flight director, and as a consequence, the auto pilot, does not work. On top of this, LNAV refuses to engage with the message NOT ON INTERCEPT HEADING when I'm both on a correct heading and have one selected on the MCP. Any thoughts into this? Luís Raimundo

Folks - when using DA/MDA on higher altitude airports you'll need to enter some ridiculously high number as your landing minimum, and keeping the mouse button pressed for minutes isn't exactly a viable method (unless I miss some other, more elegant and speedy way). Would there be any chance for another, faster way of changing that setting, e. g. another clickspot that would change 1000s of feet instead of single feet per click? Also I wonder how they do it on the real deal. Or maybe they just have plenty of patience.

I'm sure this is a configuration item someplace but on my system the whole cockpit is so dark (day time) that it is very hard to see the gauges and switches. Could it be some entry in the ENBseries.ini file? Of course this doesn't prevent the aircraft from flying. But, these old eyes have a hard time with the cockpit. BTW - the cockpit is dark regardless of the zoom factor and both the 2D and VC cockpits have this problem. Can someone help? Thanks so much. Frank Bass

I know I have seen information abiout this but could not locate. I have a partial outside view of the airplane that includes a simulator box type structure near the front. How to repair?

How is it possible to know which update version you have of the NGX? I want to have the latest, because as of now I have found some issues with the sound when using different views, and when using the Instant Replay button in FSX. Also, which updates are out currently? Thanks.

I notice that the rate of change of the figures when using the 'Minimums' selector is very slow. Is it possible to speed up the rate of change somehow? Cheers, Doug

Lately I´ve been trying to do some reading regarding Integrared Approach Navigation since I believe this is something that will become quite common in the near future with the multiplication of Rnav approaches with ever decreasing RNPs which modern airlines such as the NGs are capable of satisfying. From my understanding, IAN basically is a pretty clever way of taking all available navigation data that is fed into the FMCs to generate an artificial glideslope which can be coupled to non-precision instrument approaches. In other words, you take an airplane-generated glidepath, marry it to a localizer, vor, ndb or rnav approach and thus end up with an ILS-like approach that…

I had my first freeze on a flight from EWR to BOS. Never had one before this latest service pack. Having more CTDs too. I can only imagine how complex it must be for PMDG to sort all of this stuff out and I am confident that they will. Though this is frustrating for me it's probably more frustrating for them. I'm glad they've delayed the SP so that they get it right. I just hope it works for me.

I'm following the tutorl and when I get to press to/ga the Vnav and Lnav lights go out this didn't happen before the hotfix. I wanted to uninstall but got the same thing when I installed again... Also the trim notifer dosn't show up like it use to. My plane worked perfect now I can't fly it. How do I start over?
