Captains, some questions from my last flight I would appreciate some insights on: 1. Takeoff - D-TO (33C), flap 5; when N1 climb thrust is set, the horizontal FD bar stays very high, meaning that it wants me to pull up; problem is, if I do that, I start to bleed airspeed and come close to a stall. What's going on here? Why is the AFDS commanding such an aggressive climb-out? If I select CMD, the bar drops and the aircraft accelerates normally through its flap retraction speeds. 2. During descent, VNAV started doing something funny: it started to command speed drops - first by dropping to 270, then 260, 250... 240... all the way to 200. All within a few seconds. The little…

Hey guys, I've had a look in the manual but couldn't locate it. I'm sure its in there somewhere but this is probably easier. So I've set my NGX up for a departure out of EGKK. On the CLN8M SID there are departure altitude restrictions that keep the aircraft at about 5000 feet for sometime. How do I tell the FMS to ignore these restrictions and climb a normal profile. I can click MAX RATE and MAX ANGLE, but what about a normal climb profile to ignore those restrictions. In addition to this, one other thing that often happens when flying this aircraft is I get the warning horn honking on and off for no apparanent reason The Master Caution button illuminates but no other det…

So you CAN'T do a full autoland with only a fail passive AP correct? So what categories of ILS approaches can you still shoot? Is the only difference being that you'd disconnect at DH and land manually? While shooting an ILS approach with fail passive, would you still engage both CMB A and B for the approach? I understand the difference between fail op and fail pass. autopilots, but am still not sure what you can and cant do with a fail passive only system, or whether you can still shoot CAT II and CAT III approaches. Thanks!

Been trying to make this work for a long time, tried searching the forum however it yielded no success. Can anyone shed a light on how to properly set this up please? To make it more clear, my query is how to set up the AIII correctly, as in you get the runway edges on the HUD. Thanks,

Yo fellas! So i was like any other evening going to do a regular flight in the NGX this time during night conditions. I always start at "Cold & Dark" mode and follow the flow from the checklists. Flightdeck is pretty dark and requires some kind of light, a flashlight is handy or the light from your mobile but why not use the built-in Dome light! I looked up the overhead panel to turn it on and tried both positions and noticed that these options have the same kind of brightness, so i wonder if this is something that is not modeled or if i have some corrupted config files. Im a kind of person that always want to be up to date so i have (i think?!) the latest hotfix 298…

Just wondering if anybody else has noticed that the VC Model "seems" to be off a little bit. I say "seems" because I have never been in a real 737, only seen pictures so I don't know for sure. The window area between the glaresheild and overhead seems to be too big. In pictures and videos, it seems much smaller and slimmer than this. It just seems that the overall VC should be "stretched" out a little bit. Hope you understand what I'm trying say here. Maybe this is what RSR was referring to when he said they have an updated VC model for the SP. I would like to say again, I have never been in a real 737 cockpit, so I'm not saying it is wrong, just looks like it from…

Im getting an FMC message "No Descent Path Calculate After **** "(VOR, NDB etc etc). I keep getting this message while flying in Europe on Departures and Arrivals. I have check the LEG's page and the FMC has all of the waypoints/speeds/altutude's in it as per the STAR/SID, yet I keep getting this message.I tired looking it up in FCOM 1/2 FCTM QRH and there is nothing in there about this FMC message. Can anyone help? I am using the latest NavData (or close to it) and it seems that Navipgrah Data isn't the problem.

I'm wondering if the wind sound in a real 737 NG is really that loud. Because when I'm in cruise I can hear more wind than everything else. It is even louder than the engines! In the passengercabin you can't really hear the wind and so I'm wondering if the loudness of the wind in the cockpit is true in the simulator.(I have set all loudness options in the sim to 50% and the loudness of the NGX is also set to 50%) Anyway I'm thinking about reducing the loudness of the wind sound without reducing the volume of the other sound effects. Can someone tell me which file I must rework for that and where I can find the file? Thank you for your help.Emanuel

Hello ladies n gents, I might be rehashing old news now but I believe there are a few simmers who have the same issue as I had. I seemed to have fixed my R6025 C++ Runtime errors by deleting all PMDG .DLL entries in FSx.cfg and reauthorizing them by restarting the sim. So far its been almost 24 hours of flying with the latest hotfix with no runtime error. Gideon Ward

I was wondering about "PMDG *highly* recommends the use of 64-bit versions of Windows due to memory limitations in FSX. "If Microsoft FSX is a x86 application, is it going to be able to take advantage of Win7 x64? I have also read some blog sites suggesting that FSX should be ran in XP capatability mode to avoid any problems encountered when upgrading to Win 7 x64.. I thought that since my WiFi reception is poor to fair in the room that I may disconnect the WiFi to possibly avoid problems with FSX/PMDG 737NGX not responding after 30-40 minutes of flight. Regards,Herman K.

I'm trying to find out if I have the latest version, I've seen "SP/Hotfix 4" thrown around, but don't know if that's version 1.00.2987 I have installed. The login portion of the PMDG site is currently down (or is not compatible with chrome browser?) -Brendan This webpage is not availableGoogle Chrome could not load the webpage because www.precisionmanuals.com took too long to respond. hi I submitted a support ticket 3 days ago now concerning an activation problem i was having with NGX and have not had any response. Just wondering if anyone from PMDG can help me out or if the ticket could have been missed somehow. That status on it is still active though. I am just concern as I read elsewhere on the forum that the tickets are cleared daily. Any help from PMDG would be really appreciated. Many Thanks Tom Pattison

Hi Gents, I've flown a couple of sectors and noticed something that doesn't seem right (or maybe I've just got too used to the old FS9 PMDG 737NG way of working). I fly with FSX default ATC and they often give descent clearance after Top of Descent (TOD). At TOD (in VNAV mode) the throttles slowly close as the speed bug decreases and the Aircraft decelerates significantly. At best I thought it would switch from VNAV to ALT HOLD, but actually slowing the A/C uncommanded seems somewhat perilous. I'm fairly sure it's going to Descent Power rather than Descent Speed, but haven't analysed it precisely. The speed drop observed has been as much as 50kts before I get eventually g…

Hey guys, First of all: Thanks for your hard work, I am really impressed by its depth regarding systems and functionality. It would be a pleasure to fly your plane just with a few more frames. I tried to improve my FS' frames by tweaking here and there, using hints, changing textures and what the WWW wants me to do. So I compared the FPS before and afterwards at always the same place and with the same plane - Cologne and the NGX. The problem I am trying to fight now is a very serious, at least as it looks like: Not just the NGX looks like... well... how does it look like? Let's say... strange! Here is my A321 (included in FSX) Or the lightweight Trike To keep it sh…
