PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Today I was programming a flight from Luton the Schiphol and used tutorial 1 as a guide. The moment I wanted to modify the SUGOL entry for being restricted to below 250 knots I could not enter this in the sctratchpad.Only one character was shown and could be changed.And when choosing a waypoint I got the message that it was not in the database.... After several tries I also got the green bar. Adn then I could not even set the PERF INIT , every time I clicked a button I got wrong entry. All suggestions are welcome.

Hey all,Still trying to work this out but, how can I do a flight with the default ATC when the FMC wants me follow a STAR, but the ATC wants me turn away from where the plan is? It won't let me fly a star?Secondly, when the plane approaches t/d and passes t/d how come the FMC didn't follow the decent plan? But even if it did ATC would tell me I'm below my altitude? It kept maintaining cruise ??I think I'm struggling with calculating decent points and getting to certain levels at certain time!

I use the PFD/ND popup window feature, then resize and move to another monitor. What is the procedure to make the resize and move permanent? Thanks

On the 2D panel, I find it hard to see the runway. With minimal fuel at at Vref (140kts) flaps full I am at 3 degrees pitched up at level flight and cant see the runway. At 0 degrees pitch (the minimum I need to see the threshhold while maintain 2 red/2wite on an ILS approach), I am decending 1000 fpm - This is too much decent - but I need it to see the runway. My only solution is: 1. CNTL Q myself a few times - I guess. but if I use TrackIR5 and that doen't work.2. Fly 1 or 2 dots high in the approach and decend at a steeper rate - just so I can see the runway. Does anyone have the same issue? I would like to challange the conventional widom of all developers- that external aircraft models are rendered by reflective textures. I will offer three reasons for this. The NGX has been modelled in startling detail. It is supported by some amazing repaints, which are in sumptuous resolutions. Detail is then lost with a reflective texture blending the surface into a shine. For me the aircraft also loses some of its feeling of solidity and heavyness when polished up like this. Then there is the context. I enjoy the great detail and so by design it will not match with the ai aircraft- but for me the shiny textures just make the aircraft look out of context with all the re…

Hey all, I've run the tutorial about 5 times now and want to start building my own flight plans. Just whilst I get used to the basics I would like to fly between some airports in the UK, but I'm really not sure what to do next. I think I need a website that can build flight plans? I've tried flight aware but it wont let me set up a UK route. When I've got the plan, is it as simple as putting the segments into the FMC like the tutorial? I'm very much a noob :) Thanks

I have tried unsuccessfully to set the GMT. On POS INIT 1/4 when I try to enter the correct time the FMS enters random times and has the wrong date. Also when I try to set the UTC time in the VC the screen blanks and reloads the flight. This happened also on the MD11. What is the correct procedure? Is anyone else having this issue? ThanksDon

Hello,I want to buy a new GPU for FSX in specific. At the moment the best card out there is the GTX580. I don't want to spend that much money, so I was thinking about the GTX580 1.5GB. But I've read somewhere on this forum, that a lot of people are experiencing freezes with the 737NGX and this GTX580. So I need some advice on this. Could someone clear this up for me? Are there really that many freezes with the GTX580? Is this due to the big memory size? With what memory versions to the freezes occur? The 1.5 GB version, or 3GB version? Also, if you know a better card for FSX (which is not more than about 300$), then you're welcome to give your advice!Please clear this up …

Hi Guys I was recording and publishing a movie the other day with FRAPs and Vegas and found out the following. Always had this rumbling sound no matter how much I fine tuned the NGX sound settings. Of course if your turn off FSX Sounds it also turns off all sounds including the NGX. So what I did was go into FSX sounds and move all the sliders to the left. This way only the NGX sounds are playing and you can control all those from the NGX FMC.

I believe I read somewhere that there is a Fsx.cfg entry that would force the trusted dlls to be manually allowed every time that fsx is booted up. I am trying to squeeze every bit of performance outa FSX that I can and I believe that selectively allowing only necessary dlls to run for specific sessions may free up some system resources.Does anyone know the cfg file entry that would force manual approval of the 3rd party addon dlls?ThanksJB

So I've been having climb performance issues and I came to the forums to determine what may be wrong. It seems, as others have experienced, that outside temperature is sky-rocketing far too high. So I disabled FSINN Weather, loaded "Real World" FSX Weather, and sat back to watch what would happen. As a side-measure I put the 34A8/FLT64 debugging into FSUIPC (to show ambient temp). I find now, as I pass through 10,000ft, my TAT shows +12c, but the debug from FSUIPC shows +2c. So with FSINN weather disabled, FSX weather being used, why are temperatures so far off in the aircraft? Hi all, I know PMDG are working really hard to sort out all the problems small or large with the 737NGX. I'd like to know if anyone can tell me if I were to buy the 737NGX from the PMDG website, would the download include all the latest fixes, or would I have to wait a while for the download to be updated. Maybe even wait until everything is sorted and the 737NGX is available boxed. In the mean time, I'll keep flying the wonderful MD11. Thanks for any details.

While flying the NGX from night to day or day to night, I experience some transparency in the flight deck, Also while flying the 744X the whole aircraft is transparent including the VC... Its very annoying!! All is ok through the day time and night time, but as soon as the sun sets or rises thats when the problems start too occur! any solutions for this problem?

I knew I would not get this thing in scott free. So when I load up the ngx in fsx i hear a couple sound pops then no sound at all. The first time this happened i went into the fmc and to sound and tryed selecting all available options for my real tek audio and nothing. Then I accidentally disabled sounds in external view and when i reenable the sim froze and then the sound came out in the vc. Then when I exited fs it crashed (maximized/minimize type crash) task manager gave me black screen a couple times untill i could task out of fs. I have been having problems with the brakes not working using saved flights. So now (from reading other posts) I only load a flight from the 'Free Flight' screen, then load the NGX Cold and Dark panel, this seems to allow the brakes to work correctly. On my departure today the brakes were working normally, I set Autobrake '2' for the landing and the aircraft slowed down nicely as expected. On approaching the turnoff taxiway I switched the autobrakes off via the switch instead of dabbing the brakes. This time I had no normal brakes, but the parking brake worked, so I had to taxi to the stand using the parking brakes I really hope this is one of the fixes in SP1 as I'm…

Hey all!'My computer:i7 950 @ 3.20 ghz (over clocked)12 gb RAM2x nvidea 470 cards running SLI1x1tb hdd only with windows and fsx and fsx addons installed1x2 gb hdd for backups.I fly in aust using ftx scenery and now using the NGX I'm getting frame rates between 5- 12 fps at airports using all the reccomended settings! I even changed the screen res to 16 bit colours?Does anyone here know how I can get better performance out of this "top of the range machine"Getting slightly over it!?
