Ran a flight from HOU to DAL.. Noticed something kind of weird,and doesn't seem right. When you get to TOD, it switches to ARMmode. So I start descending, and I decided to check the hardwarethrottle blue markers to see if they now worked in ARM mode.Nope.. But worse.. When I moved my throttle, it was overriding theA/T when in ARM mode. If I'm not mistaken, it should not do anything,same as in FMC mode. I know it didn't on the earlier versions.But now, if I move the throttles, it's overriding the A/T and seemsto have an effect on the throttle setting even if I leave it at one spot.I tried turning off the A/T and pushing the hardware throttle up a goodbit, then turning the …

Good evening, fellow pilots. I just ran into a bit of a head-scratcher. It could very well be something I did, since I have not had the time to do much flying lately and may have missed something in my cockpit flows. I was attempting a flight from GCLP to LEBL, and everything was fine until climbing through FL130 when a warning horn began to sound and a Fuel Imbalance was indicated in the #2 tank (it was already almost 1,000 lbs less than the #1 tank). After landing back at GCLP, with almost a 2,000 lb difference between the wing tanks and a little over 11,000 lbs in the center tank, I checked the failures to clear them, only to find that there were no failures active. I read somewhere from a non-FS person but some computer techie none the less that right clicking over the FSX program while it's running in task manager, then right clicking, choosing set affinity tab and UNCHECKING CPU 1 like I have on my i7 950 laptop, will indeed turn off the HT (hyperthreading) thus making things run better. I have tried this and am not sure if it does anything at all... it's definately not worse, that's for sure... hmmmm any ideas? See in my Sager gaming laptop, I have no ability to turn off hyperthreading.. they removed that ability within the bios... so that's the story...

Hi, I dont know why this happens but when i fly online on Vatsim i sometimes get the default AI ATC voice which is pretty irritating dispite that i have it disabled in the FSX menu. Its difficult to listen to "double" ATC :-) but the biggest problem is that it also kills the sounds in the NGX VC including the engine sounds. I have tried to disable the "voice" in the sound menu and it helps with the ATC AI but it still kills the VC sounds Any ideers? :-) Thanks Michael

Hello,I'm planning to buy a new rig for FSX. I just cannot decide at all. I can't decide between the i5 2500K and the i7 2600K. I have read the "i5 or i7?" thread, but still can't decide. So what are you experiences with the i5 2500K overclocked? How many fps do you get with very complex scnenery like ORBX, and Aerosoft Mega Airports and the NGX? With my current system I'm getting about 16-18 fps in the worst circumstances. Anyone else notice that over an hour or more the NGX performance (framerates etc) slowly decrease to about half of what they were in the beginning over a longer flight? I am trying to track this down and it's happening to me whether I use *******' latest or the default fsx.cfg

had a flight from cywg to cyvr about half way the red alarm light came on the dash, the light by engie 1 APU engine 2 came on said wheel well , then when landing had no brakes , Has any one else had trouble and how to fix?

I have searched the forum on this subject and have seen skeleton planes after the plane is loaded but not in the Free Flight Area...see graphic: The plane will look normal for about 60 seconds and then turn into this. FSX was working great until I loaded the PMDG 737NGX....now I get this. Once I get this my computer it slows to a crawl. I either have to reboot or pull up Task Manager, which takes a while and close FSX, which will take 5 minutes or so. I am running a Quad Core Q660 with 4GB Ram and a GeForce 8800 GTX Video Card. Hello forum, Today i did a flight from EHAM to EDDF. On my final approach, about 10-15 DME from the runway, i turned on the nav/loc mode. The button didnt lit up, which as far as i am aware of it is supposed to? I tried clicking it a couple of more times, but same result. When i tried to turn on the "App" mode the light of this button didnt lit up either, but VNAV and LNAV turned of a few seconds later and the plane did follow the localizer and the glideslope. Then after that i tried to turn on "CMDB"(to try and engage autoland, rollout and flare), this button did lit up but almost right after that CMDA goes off. Since this happend i assumed i couldn't enable an autoland …

I installed the 737NGX and it worked and the livery manager opened.When I went to download liveries it said there was a new version of livery manager so I downloaded it and extracted it into the Livery Manager folder under PMDG in FSX . Then the livery manager would not work even if I run it as administrator. If I choose compatibility mode it is greyed out so I can not select the run as administrator tick box.When I run the livery manager it freezes my computer but if I run task manager it says the livery manager application is waiting for a response from me but I cannot see a box to respond to.I guess this is something to do with the windows vista security settings.Has …

This is NOT a NGX related, but FSX issue. I've changed my cockpit setting removing MomentumEffect and DynamicHeadMovement effects.All I wanted was using VC like 2D panel but it still remains one problem - see the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sweTT0VvUi0&feature=player_detailpage * every 180degrees, head rotates a round. 2 rotates for 360degrees. I remember there is a post about removing acceleration effect, but this is a different one.Anyone knows removing this circling in VC motion? I have looked in the manuals, and had a scan over here to see if this has been already asked but cannot find anything relating to this annoying problem, so apologies if I am repeating a previous question. On pushback the turn rate of the aircraft is so slow that I cannot pushback from the stand and end up in on the taxi way. Instead it is going over into the parking bays on the opposite side. I did see in the manual to turn nosewheel lock off before pushback (not sure if this is being simulated), however the only switch/button I can find relating to this is on the lower left side with nosewheel being main or alt.I have tried both settings and no difference. I am aware of the pmdg problems with ase and turbulence and when I land I will try some editing. But for some reason the autothrottle is not controllling speed in chop. I am perpetually overspeeding in cruise. The airspeed and groundspeed and rapidly many times per second fluctuating by 5-10 knots. The speed is constantly faster than my mach .795 speed bug. Is this also a turbulence related problem? I found some good configs changes for turbulence settings for this aircraft but is there the end all good one out there someone is hiding? I have to wait till I land to deal with this but it is driving me nuts. I checked disable turb effects in fsx but the aircraft still exper…
