Captains- While I had hoped we would release both the SP1 and the 6700 to you tonight, we are unfortunately a bit behind schedule as a result of an unruly travel schedule on my end... The day after my last update to you, I went on the road for what was supposed to be a 2 day trip to inspect an airplane, but turned into a week as a result of a family emergency. This put me significantly behind the curve on my cleanup items for the SP1 and the 6700, so the rest of the team has been mostly finished while I continue to play catch up. While most of you know us primarily through our posts or replies to support tickets, each of us at PMDG has a family, parents, children, spouse…

I tried to read all the posts before I posted this. I am getting a horn sound at certain times (without the master caution lighting up)/. It is not the AT or AT disconnect sound - it's the horn. ISomeone suggested to silence it in the overhead panel. I simply can't find the horn silence button. Nor the reason for this. I am an experienced flier, and this horn a frequent occurance - but I can't figure it out. It stops as soon as I land - or simetimes when decending to a certain level around 7000 ft. Is it a pressure problem? My doors are closed (per other post). gear and flaps up - no overspeed condition. no failures are showing up - no FMC messages either. Any…

Can someone explain why there is a seperate 'NGX' folder residing inside the flight plans folder please? I believe that this may be causing my aborted Flight Plan exports from 'FsBuild'.

Hello all. Just a question to the PMDG 737 NGX dev team. I have read many topics about shared cockpit using the 737NGX, but I don't find any concrete answers about this functionality. Have u some news about that ? Will the 737NGX works on shared cockpit ? We are a big famous french session on Gamespy and many members about this comunity would like to know if it will be possible to play with shared cockpit. It will be a very good news and a very big technical feat ! Thx in advance.

Hi guys. First post. First, thxs to everybody for this wonderful product . I have most PMDG products MD, 747,BAe and now NGX.. Sorry to bother, tried everything (did run as admin) but still get a " As described...Please install your copy of PMDG 737....." Is there anything to do besides just installing the patch? I reinstalled the NGX to no avail. In the Control Panel, the NGX appears as installed. Did install the Hot Fix 2987 without any problem. Any help will be welcomed. Again, great product. Hello All, This post is an extension of the Post raised by Flyer767 on 1.9.11. I am interested in using RNP but some simmers are using it for Approaches. I was under the impression that the use of RNP, having watched a DVD of Westjet, that RNP was used at airports where there were difficult terrain and the landing airport had NO radio navigation facilities and the airline companies had installed routing in the aircraft FMC to accommodate these airports and that the crew used VFR for landing. I havethe PMDG Flight Crew Training Manual which mentions RNP but does not give instruction on its use. I have also searched the Net for a Tutorial but without any real success. …

When it comes to maximum range of 3060 NM, this is considered full pax and fuel reserves, I think with a low cost index can go far beyond this with the PMDG, more than 8 hours of flight. Is that right?

Hello, Was just wondering.. is there any reason why the pax in a single class configuration reach a maximum of only 174 (iirc, maybe it was 176) when an actual configured 738/w operated by Norwegian Air Shuttle can carry 186 PAX. Is there anyway to change this, if not, will it ever be possible to actually carry the max amount of passengers?

Gents, As you may know, the wide beta team has had their poorly groomed mitts all over the shorter 600/700 series package this week. I thought I might talk to you about an oft-forgotten model in the 737 family. It's so... stubby... The humble 737-600 looks a little out-of-proportion nowadays, what with the longer -800's now comprising the majority of the 737 fleet worldwide. It's easy to forget that the very successful 737-200 was in fact about the same length. For a variety of reasons, the shorter format is no longer the preferred one and so the -600 is something of a rarity with only about 70 produced. I've found that after a few days flying the -600 around my native Ne…

Dear PMDG, Yesterday I decided again to go through those threads where I made my own contributions and I found out something motivating me to email to the AVSIM administration. The following quote gives you an idea: As I did not follow up the related tread in every detail (I wasn't the originator anyway). It might have been that it "declined" towards insults, I don't know, but in my own understanding it would have been fully sufficient to delete the respective article(s) and not the complete tread. My opinion about this you may read in the above quoted email. By the way, I love to fly the NGX even if I experienced some problems and I have all respect for PMDG's work. …

HI All I cant seem to find an answer to this anywhere not even at the UT2 and FSC9 forum, it may also be an FSX limitation but I did see somewhere that it could be caused by installing the 737 NGX, basically the issue is that when I have Flight Sim Commander 9 connected to FSX via FSWIDE from the second PC I only ever see localised AI traffic displayed in FSC9 on the map, IE FSC9 in YBBN I see dozens of aircraft around Brisbane airspace reaching at to about 50 miles but if I zoom out in FSC9 there are no other aircraft displayed at all, I am wondering if this is a limitation that FSX imposes in that it will only render AI traffic that is around your current position, so t…

Just read in 737 Tech Guide by Chris Brady : the functions of the Generator Diagnostics panel and Power System Test panel are all contained within the AC & DC Metering panel on the NG. A BITE test can be initiated by pressing the MAINT button with the 2 selectors in the TEST position. Just tried this in the NGX and what do you know it has been modelled - nice touch PMDG. Give it a try - it runs through a test which you can see on the display/metering panel then delivers the result/msg. Mine was 'NO FAULTS STORED'. Great work will search for some more tech stuff that has been included and not discovered as yet!

For a flight departing from MWCR (runway length 7008 ft) the FMC shows for 15° flaps, a trim config 3.44; when i try set up this value, the throttle won't set trim lower than 4.00. Anybody else with an explanation or same situation?

For those that havent seen this, it works for me. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?58721-FTX-Day-Night-Switcher This is a free file ORBX has just released for use with ORBX scenery. The attached site will explain it. I just ran several tests with the 737-800 winglet.at KSEA 34R without the file set and was getting 15 - 16 FPS, with the lights off I am getting 17 - 24. My scenery settings are all to the right except mesh at 2m, Texture Res at 15cm and water at Mid 1.x. At KPWT bremerton I get 29 -35 FPS, KPAE Paine 28 - 34 FPS and Moses Lake KMWH 36 - 52. This a big improvement. I also had Trk-IR5 and EZDOK running. Tom Hibben

Hello, I was just doing a normal flight from KLAX to KSFO. My crz alt is 320. About FL200, "unable crz alt" showed.I only have 2 hours of fuel aboard, 120 passengers, cost index is 25, MCP is set to 32000. Max crz alt indicated is about FL380.
