Have just joined the panel freeze club. Been flying this bird since release, have flown all over the US and Europe, never had a panel freeze until today. On decent to LAX, FL240, Was putting in star in FMC then it would not execute, slowly the systems went off line one by one, the last thing working was the MCP, then that stooped as well, did not freeze, but did not function. Roll on SP1 Yoke and pedals stooped as well. Pulled the plug and replaced, nothing, no hat switch, nothing. Having to bow out after a 5 hour flight is not fun when your so close to destination.

Right I have made a discovery I "think".Ok here we go, afew of us are getting CTD's when exiting FSX, I have had a few depending what i'm doing in the game. I have been messing around in the general settings today and tried this out..In general tab settings there is a setting called Prompt on exit. "which is when you exit FSX it asks you if you are sure", Uncheck it. so now when you exit FSX it will just close with out being prompt. I have tried this with 60 different scenarios, I cannot get FSX to crash for love nor money. Im not stating that this is certainly a fix as everyone has different hardware, addon's etc. but would a few of you guys mind trying it please just as…

Alarm bell sounded. Light remains lit. Ok so I started my engines and my #1 engine will not respond to throttle. I tried restarting the engine as well as the CTRL+E (1 & 2) and it does not work. Any ideas? Also unless I start with starting my #2 engine my #2 will not start if I start with starting my #1 engine. **EDIT**For some reason when I pressed CTRL+E (1,2,3,4) it worked. Hope this helped.

Hello,Finally got my FSX working at my new rig tonight (updating GPU shortly). First of all I have to say: performance is great! I can run maximum scenery settings with at least 20 fps.Yesterday I already overclocked my i5 2500k to 4.5GHz, using a youtube video (with a lot of positive comments). Already run a 4 hour test in Prime95 for 4 hours without any errors. At full load the temps are about 60C. But I was just wondering, if this look like a good and stable overclock to you. Ok say i have V2 speed in FMC to 134, do you then set the 134 V2 speed in the MCP or do you add +20 to it? so insted 134 you add 154 into the MCP ?

Hi, as I've been lucky enough to get a great deal of jumpseat-rides the last few years, I've noticed one thing in particular when the AC source is changed, that I miss from the NGX. Each time in the real thing I've seen the AC source's been changed (GPU - APU gen - Eng gen), a loud mechanical/electical "click" can be heard, and all displays and screens (and ind/warn lights? Been a while since I was last out flying as of this writing) flimmer or blink for half a second at the same time, as the system inure with the change of source. Hello,I've just gotten my new system (as you can see in my signature, updating GPU soon). I installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, along with the motherboard's drivers, then I downloaded the NVIDIA driver for my card, restarted my pc so I got a normal full HD screen. Then I activated Windows 7. After that I installed FSX without any problems. But when I was trying to run it though, it was saying this: "The MSXML4 SP2 component is not installed. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair this missing component."I did that and still I get this message. Could anyone please help me? I've never had this problem on any of my previous pc's before. I'm kinda fed up …

Got the newest Beta Hotfix 4 tonight (it was NOT included when I purchased the aircraft 2 days ago). I haven't determined if the 'no brakes' issue is fixed, but I am very happy with this aircraft.It is VERY much everything I hoped for in an add-on, and superior to iFly's plane. For example, the PMDG has pilots that actually move their heads and eyes during flight. THe iFly has a couple of crudely drawn peeps sitting in one position all the time - very unrealistic looking.When the spoilers go up, you can see incredible detail beneath them that is a joke on the iFly version. Looking at the plane from all angles in flight, the PMDG is vastly more detailed, and higher-res…

I'v got couple of questions about flaps on the 737ngx. First does GOL use flaps 5 or 15 when takeing off from SBRJ in the 737-800? When do other airlines choose to use flaps 15 on taking off? Also when would an airline use flaps 15 for landing, and what is the purpose of it?Thanks,

Just recently tried to save my first flight. Read on other posts about issues with loading flights in FSX but my issue seems slightly different -After saving a flight in FSX, when I attempt to reload it the aircrafts position is as expected, but the FMC CDU is without any previously programmed flight info/plan. Also, for some reason the landing gear is lowered even though the aircraft is at height. I have looked at loading a previous state, but no details of the previous file saved appear. From what I've read of the Tutorial 1 which I was following, it should be just a simple case of saving the flight through FSX and reloading?Noticed some failures in event viewer -PMDG_7…

Hi,There's always been one thing I've never really understood about aviation, which is the phonetic alphabet. I know how it works (Alpha = A, Bravo = B etc.), and I know this all out of my head, but I just don't always know what those letters stand for. For example with ATC ATIS, it's saying something like "weather information Papa", what does the P here stand for? Or when coming in for approach the pilot is saying, "Tower, PMDG001, with Oscar, to land." Why the O? What does the O stand for in this case? I can't really find good info in Google that clears this up for me, could anyone please explain? Thanks,

None of the buildings at all my fsdt airports are visible so i tried reinstalling the latest addon manager but nothing. I installed shade as well this morning which is amazing by the way. This is the second time now I have had to pause my flight for an extended time and when I have come back to it the engines oil levels have dropped. My plane continues to consume oil while the flight is paused. Has anyone else noticed this? Does someone want to pause their flight over night and see if it happens for them? I swear I am not going mad! At least I hope...
