Don't know if you guys noticed....... every time on rotation there is a slight jerk (up/down movement) felt. is that the effect from the main landing gear leaving the ground? or am i using the wrong rotate technique

i didn't have a chance to search this, but i figured i can drop it for someone to look it and tell me if it is a known error.I was seating comfortable on Climb while performing a SID out of LEMD 36L (Madrid). Since i was short on sleep time, i figured i can cut the trip short and fly direct the next waypoint. when i opened CDU and highlighted the next waypoint and excute. I got a FSX crash. Looking at event viewere. i did not find anything i am familiar with when it comes to crashed i gotten in the past with FSX.ThanksMuchExcuse my spelling, short on sleep. Good Night

Wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue...I just crashed right into the back of another aircraft while on final into ATL on VATSIM. I was flying with the HUD, so I'm not sure if I got a TA on the HSI, but definitely no aural TA as I would usually expect. I know RA's are inhibited below a certain altitude (1000RA, IIRC), but I thought I should still get a "TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC" before running into the back of someone.

Hi guys,I installed a new scenery this afternoon. It's Honolulu from FS dream team. The airport looks awsome and seems to be working fine.My problem happens when I try to load my NGX. It used to work just fine before this change and now It looks like this. I cant click on anything and nothing works. Even my Yoke does not do anything. I dont get it. How does a scenery make a plane not work anymore.Any ideas? You can also see that the FMC does not come up in 2D. Instead i<m getting this weird panel when I clcik on it. See lower right corner.ThanksChris Verner

  8. Gremlins attacked - my brakes failed and I ran off the runway on an otherwise flawless ILS landing at KSFO after 2 hour flight from KSEA Seattle. Ugh.I have to say1- PMDG aircraft is STELLAR and IMHO is light years better than iFly 737ng in MOST ways. Navigation in the VC could be easier though (product improvement idea?)2- If someone knows about the braking failure I would appreciate help. I had a problem earlier today and exited FSX and had to restart my flight when I could not stop my aircraft during taxiing at KSEA. Yes, another BRAKE failure.3- All tips and ideas appreciated. I just bought this 10/24/2011 I would imagine I have the 'latest/greatest' or do I need…

  9. I have been trying this SID a lot out of EGKK, http://www.ead.euroc..._2011-07-28.pdf The LAM4M I have been trying to hand fly this SID using the NAV aids, DETLING VOR and the ILS dme. using NAV1. However I always end up a very wide of the intercept couse, DET261, when I look at my attempt from VOR mode to map mode. The other method is a lot more lazy, using mostly LNAV, and letting George fly from 1000f after take off. What is the best way to fly this SID? In the NGX, using the NAV aids available?

Just flew thru some turbulence and I set the man N1 turb setting to 89.3% as per the FMC. I then started to wonder how the FMC arrives at that figure. I know that you would not want to be too near VMO as you could overspeed so is it to protect against that or does it also protect the engines? If so how can turbulence damage the engines?

I have a few questions on how to operate a realistic 737 NG ETOPS flight.1. I read somewhere that the crew has to keep the APU on throughout the cruise (because the 737 has no RAT) - is this true? Or is it only turned on/off periodically through the cruise?2. Is there some special minimum landing fuel requirement?3. Say I am flying SEA-OGG and I want to do a step-climb to FL360 to save fuel. If this is allowed, would I request it on my next position report to San Franscisco radio or whenever I want?I did alot of crossings with the 757/767 on VATSIM but now that I can finally do the ASA routes in the NGX, I want to do them as realistically as possible Ethan

Ok im off for ESSA full staffing tonight and my question how much fuel on tis trip, ESSA - ENGM 333nm (ESSA SID ARS N623 BEDLA P609 VATEX UP609 TOR UZ35 SKI UM609 RIPAM STAR ENGM )I have my own calculation that i have made, - TOTAL FUEL= APU(min) + Taxi(min) + Reserve(min) + Trip(nm) + Divert(nm) (40kg pr.min. fuel burn average) (nm x 9,4=kg/tons fuel)(cost index CI 70/311kts crz) And my calculation wil then be "APU(60min) + Taxi(20) + Reserve(60) + Trip(333) + Divert(nm dont take it on this trip) = 60+20+60=140minx40kg.pr.min = 5600kg fuel + trip333nm x 9,4= 3130kg fuel,Total 8730kg for this trip. Hi all. The theory behind anti-ice use is fairly straight forward - on if TAT is +10C or less with visible moisture. However, on descent especially, anti-ice use has to be planned for ahead of time. How is this done? I wouldn't have thought simply looking at your destination's METAR would surfice? Is it based on freezing level forecast? Also, do wing and engine anti-ice get turned on at the same time, or would you sometimes use one without the other? Any input, especially from someone who knows the SOP for 737 anti-ice procedues greatly appreciated, thanks.

Still have a couple of questions for you guys re the LOWI rwy08 visual approach (and similar tight turns)... 1) On a turn such as the the above approach, I do use moderate rudder, even though yaw damper is on. Is that correct? 2) Is it ever acceptable to use asymmetrical thrust on such occations? Thanks

  16. Hello,SInce the release of the NGX, I've always noticed when I'm flying manually, when moving the yoke, is always moving a little laggy, low frame rate. (No, no micro stutters, just low frame rate). Even when I'm getting 30+ fps, it's still very laggy. Any one else noticing this too? It's not that much of problem, but just annoys me a little. The MD-11 had exactly the same, but on the 747X, it was perfectly fine. Why is this?

  20. Hi I have bad performance with mine Intel i7-920 OC 3,2GHz and the graphiccard gtx280. I have the unit Matrox THGO2 DE with 3x 22" at 5040x1050! My card is from XFX the standard edition of gtx280 1GB. My problem is that I get some OOM sometime if I have at high settings and need to force down the graphic a bit and no OOM then but I get poor performance around 10 fps in good wether. You can imagine how bad the performance will be in bad wether so I must buy a grafhiccard with more VRAM then 1GB!? My questions are: 1)Do you think I can OC my CPU more and get even better performance? 2)Will a change from gtx280 to gtx560ti get much better performance with more VRAM to get ou…

I do not remember if I got this info here or not so I thought I would post to help others that may have this problem. For those running enb bloom and getting ctd's with alt-tabbing what fixed it for me was this: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_26 I have so far not got any ctd's as I alt tab or go into menus to make adjustments. This is to replace the d3dx9 from enb in your FSX directory. For me it was getting so bad I could not even go into a menu once without getting fatal error ctd. I cannot live w/o enb. Once you try it and tweak it for yourself nothing will ever be the same again.

Hi, so here is another problem: When I save a flght, say during normal cruise, all systems are fine. But when I later load that flight every time I get "No Land 3" advisory at the upper engine display. FCOM describes this as a failure of the automatic flight mode. But I think it's a bug of NGX because before saving the flight, the advisory message was not displayed. Does anyone have the same issue? Any clue how I can prevent this from happening or fix the problem?ThanksNic

Just wondering if I am really the only one who is interested, and loves the idea of a shared cockpit for flights, VatSim flights really.I think that flying this bird, with all the realism that PMDG brought to the table, would just make having two buddies, across town, or country for that matter, act as pilot and CoPilot would be unreal. I can't wait for someone to develop something that will allow this. Just wondering though if I am the only one, because lately is seems everyone I talk to is not really into the idea, and has no real reason for or against it..... Maybe I am lonely...lol

Hi Guys, After starting up the engines on my 737-900 at KORD, I went to give it taxi thrust and noticed that only my right engine would respont to my throttle inputs and keyboard inputs. My left engine started and idled fine, but when I increased the throttles only the right engine would spool up. I can see the left and right throttles moving, but the left engine won't respond. I checked the maintenance page in the FMC and no failures were active or set to activate. Any ideas on how to fix this as I haven't had this before. Best Regards,Robert
