Hi all,Can anyone please help, my problem is that when I capture the glide slope from underneath at correct speed, flaps etc, as soon as the aircraft is locked on and tracking the GS, it drops out and the green app light go’s out on the MCP and will not reactivate. I have to fly the approach manually, this is not a problem in its self but this dropping out can’t be right. I have searched this forum and have read all the posts on glide slope issues but can’t find an answer to my problem. All my instruments are set correctly as far as I am aware. I have ‘GS on’ selected in the FMC, the correct nav frequencies are selected, I have no problems capturing the localiser. Also I …

Hello there,I have a small issue with the PMDG NGX. A couple of days ago I was on a flight and beginning the approach ATC cleared me to a vor I could not find, so i entered the code for it wrong on the fmc and actually entered a VOR that was behind me. The FMC went crazy and the airplane literally froze... could not disengage the AP to fly manually, AP did not respond, it froze in mid flight I had to abort the flight.Yesterday I was on a long flight and left the plane flying itself... I came back to the room after i had overshot the airport by about 30 nm... when i tried to begin the descent i learned it had happened again... airplane totally frozen.... Anybody know of th…

I know this may have been said many times, however, on about 50% of my landings, my brakes seem to fail instantly on landing! No failures, no errors, just brakes which won't do anything. Nor does the parking brake work.Now, has there been a found reason for this occurring? Has there been a solution for the problem? Will it be fixed in SP1?Any info on the subject would be appreciated.Nick

hi all, i am using the NGX with ASE and just did a flight from EDDT to EDDF FL300. I noticed that the airplane is drifting from left to right around the magenta line on the ND to get the track.I switched the heading button on MCP but the autopilot is not able to hold the selected heading. I had sometimes 45° bank. I tried to change the ASE settings but I seems the problem is the NGX. Wind was 50 kt from the right.I hope I am not the only one with this issue. Mike Lambert

I am flying on vatsim in this moment.I am on the ground ready for taxi. I made a error because i turned off the APU before switching to Engine genrators. I see it right away and turned the generators on in less than a second. But now i have a fwd overwing exit warning and i can't "move" engine 1's power (Steady at 20%) altthought the trustlevelers is moving in the cockpit.HELP FAST PLEASE :-(oil press only at 9%

When the brakes are hot, and you are airborne performing local circuits, shouldn't the temperature go down if the landing gear remains down, i think by the ram air they should cool down no?

Okay button on side of the throttle handles is the Auto Throttle Disconnect right? So say for example a pilot suddenly needs to seperate the throttles so that one is giving more power than the other. If you press the auto throttle disconnect you can move the levers independently then or must another button be pressed somewhere?Another example would be in a 747-400 and suddenly you had to shut an engine down. How do you seperate one lever and pull it back to idle without interupting the other 3?

One of these days, I was talking with my cousin, who is a NG captain, and he told me that "level-d" simulators are "95%" close to reality because they don't simulate thermals and pressure variations very well etc. Some days ago, I was landing in a real 737-700, so I observed how many thermals, changing winds and god knows what more an aircraft has to deal with on landing. What a difference from the FSX! Anyone knows how to simulate something closer to reality in the FSX? Maybe some add-on software can do it? Anyone knows a simulator or project that is giving close attention to this aspect of the flight?Thanks,Teo Halfen

During trip fly in Greenland,i got "STANDBY POWER OFF" failures,i saw some situation 1.IRS(L) turn to ON DC. 2.FMC(L) power off by itself. 3.AP can't engage! Then i usd QR handbook advice,open STANDBY POWER cap turn to BAT,and i turn IRS and FMC two switch to both on R,waiting a while result is LNAV can open,but Autopilot can't open? Does i miss something??And even i fix all failure in FMC,AP still can not engage!

Hello all, I apologies if this issue was brought up before or if it is clear at the manuals, before I started this thread I did a forum research and as well QRH couldn’t find any related information: I was commencing the engine start procedures as always from a cold & dark situation, APU = OnAPU Generator = OnAPU Bleed Air = OnBoth Packs = OffIsolation valve = AutoFuel Pumps = On I started to run Engine 1 using the ENGINE START switch to GRN position till N2=25% then turn fuel pump up and Engine 1 running perfectly, no problems. As I mainly fly the NGX in the UK I generally set the transition altitude to 6000 rather than the default (US standard) 18000. I noticed on my last few flights that this worked properly during the climb but on descent the FMC seemed to forget the 6000 setting and prompt me to reset the QNH when passing through 18000. I am sure this used to work properly i.e. before the last hotfix. Has anyone else noticed this issue.Also does anyone know if it is possible to edit some config file entry or whatever to set 6000 as the default transition altitude?Thanks
