PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hello folks, I know i've read a bout people having trouble with go around thrust but i was wondering if other people have experienced what i have. With autothrottles enegaged whenever i hit toga, the engines very slowly begin to increase N1, and then abruptly reverse thrust is engaged mid flight! I always have to manually disengage the autothrottles and then slam them to full thrust to recover. Im sure im not following the go around procedures to the t, but I do know that reverse thrus shouldn't be engaging during the climbout, and that the engines should rev like they do when pressing toga for take off. Im just wondering if maybe something's wrong on my end or if others…

When would the N1 button the MCP be used? For takeoff and go around, the TOGA switches are used.

I was just wondering, how is it possible to get auto fail, and loss of pressurisation when I dont have failures programmed and also serviced based failures are off. I just got the message and the masks are deployed.(status in FMC options- can't turn it of either) It's kind of cool btw, decending now and notified ATC (I am online) but I deliberatly turned it off because I wanted to get familiar with everything before I start getting faillures online. *edit* Can turn it off now, while I am at an altitude that my passangers can breath again.... Impressive, but still wondering....

Hi guys, Is it a normal for the pmdg 737ngx to ask for reactivation without reinstalling? The only thing I changed was a .cfg file, I doubt that would cause me to need to reactivate. The first thing I thought I would have problems getting it to reactivate like a few others have had, but it activated fine. I'm just curious as to what could have triggered it and if others have had it just randomly ask for activation? Thanks

Hi, I've enabled Bloom effect on FSX, DX 9. The strange thing is that in virtual cockpit I can't see the effect through the front glass but if I look through the left window I can see Bloom effect is applied.If I move my head (with track ir) "outside" the front window I can see the Bloom effect , it's like the front window glass inhibit Bloom Effect. In outside view I can see bloom but in a particular view (on top of rudder tail) I can see bloom applied only on both side left and right, but in the center there is no bloom. This happens with 737 NGX and other standard FSX liners but not for example with standard FSX Cessna, Extra 300 S etc.. Have you ever experienced such…

with so much being said about the virtual cockpit, does the track IR 5 work well with the ngx?? other wise it would pain to naviagate around the virtual cockpit, pressing buttons and trying to zoom in! and with that i take every botton and switch works in the virtual cockpit? Joe Broadman

Dear all, Recently, I have purchase a monthly license for Prepar3D. I have successfully copied all PMDG files to the Prepared 3D drive. Everything works very well. The problem is that when I restart FSX and launch the NGX, ihave a CTD after a few seconds with the following message : Problem Event Name: BEXApplication Name: fsx.exeApplication Version: 10.0.61472.0Application Timestamp: 475e17d3Fault Module Name: PMDG_737NGX.DLL_unloaded I thought we could use our NGX on more than one computer as long as it is not used simultaneously). Situation: Was on final at KJAX....everything was going well. I had a full ILS approach lined up. At the last minute I decided to just touch Her down myself, and tapped Z twice. After touchdown, I neglected paying attention to my speed while reverse thrust was on, and when I finally noticed I was at about 50mph....ouch. After disengaging reverse thrust, I noticed that my wheel brake was not working. I mean, I came to a complete stop on the runway pretty much after that, and only noticed that my brake command didn't work when I was trying to slow down at a taxiway to make the turn to the gate. The thing that has me wondering is that I have had pretty hard touchdowns before…

Hi guys, since my computer is getting a little bit old, i have started getting opinions from my friends for my new computer. It's gonna be of course a simulation computer and I have budget up to ~$1000 nearly.So, I'm thinking of 2 CPU's, they're:AMD Phenom II X6 1100T (3.3 GHz) 9MBand Intel i7 2600k 3,4 GHzAnd I'm actually not good at this things, so I need your advises. What graphic card and CPU should I buy?Does AMD or Intel work better on FSX? I'll be using NGX, REX, FSX together and this should be a very strong computer.Thanks a lot!

Hello all,yes, in the title I said I have a problem, well, its more a pilot problem then the plane. First of all I just want to say this plane is amazing and i cant keep my hands off it. My problem is though, is that when I put the REF airport into the FMC and then the dep and arr airport on the route page, it must assign a route into the database because the plane follows a pink line but the route it follows is completely off. I went to the MAP option in FSX to see if I was on course and I was flying in the oposite direction... What am I doing wrong... ThanksSteveo

I did a full reinstall of my system over the weekend, and uninstalled the 737NGX. However, when i go to reinstall it, it says the 737NGX is already installed, but there is no sign on my computer of anything PMDG 737NGX....it won't show me a menu where I could click repair, what do I do?

Hi PMDG Forum ,i only have a few problem with the 737 NGX aircraft standby attitude indicator , i dont know if this is a freezz or bla bla bla , what i know is that the standby attitude indicator is not working as it should be , when the aircraft turns to left or to the right the standby attitude indicator isin't moving at all it kindda look like a freezz but i dont think its a freezzz or maby its a freezzz problem , is this normal ? owh i use the the round attitude indicator not the integrated standby flight display , it can be fix right ? take a look at the screenshot below at the standby attitude indicator . . .

Hello,Since the release of the NGX, I've always noticed that the sound quality of the altitude callouts is a little bad. The callouts just don't sound very clear to me. Maybe in your opinion it's not important but in my opinion it doesn't sound that great. The J41 has the same altitude callouts but they sound perfectly fine, very clear. The NGX's callouts are much worse. For example, look at this video, it's an NGX video but with real sounds added. Sounds pretty different from the NGX to me. orry if you find this thread useless. Are there any plans to to develop the passenger cabin same way Captain sim has done with the 767?I do like to take a walk once in a while when in cruise , window views etc.......... i find this to be the only thing missing from the over all experience.

I found another post in this forum where this issue was discussed, but I could never find an answer to the question. I just wonder whether it is possible to assign the different NGX's VC views to keystrokes or keys on my joystick instead of circling through by using 'A' or 'S'. I have a hat on my throttle (logitech G940) that I havent assigned to any functions and I would like to use it for the 4 VC views that I use the most: captain, FO, overhead and pedestral. Thanks!

Hi gentlemen, Last nite, I had what looks like my first failure. Like 10minutes before reaching TOD, an "Off Schedule descent" light illuminated. I went to the QRH and followed the depressurization steps. (not sure about the outflow valve actually). I started descent, but the light remained activated till the gate. After the procedure which involves passengers oxygen masks is done, I went to the FMC: 1 failure activated: "Pass 2 masks deployed" (or something close to this). Questions: - can you please confirm where is the outflow valve close button ? I supposed it's under the Auto/ Manual pressure switch ? I did a left click until pressure went to zero, is that the right…
