PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

After takeoff since the newest hot fix, the flight director doesn't perform as it use to. Normally It pitches for around V2 +20 until I reach acceleration height. At 1500ft climb power kicks in and I retract the flaps to 1, then "Bug up" to flaps up speed. Before the newest hot fix the flight director would lower its pitch to tell me to accelerate to the new speed I have selected. Now it just keeps the takeoff pitch and doesn't lower. Is this correct? So...now, for the 3rd time, I am going to go through the 15 day process of re installing FSX and my addons.....I have no luck with this game....I just want to get on VatSim, and fly.....that is all..... Signing off until my computer/game comes up with a new problem...............I hope my activation will still work....I am sure PMDG is going to shut me down for suspected Pirate activity for all the times I am installing this thing.

Is there a way to edit the mode's landing lights to make them brighter? I somehow think that their intensity has decreased since the latest hotfix came out. Maybe I'm wrong? -Brendan

Hi Captains, I have searched the forums, but couldn't find what I'm looking for. Today I installed the latest hotfix (the "pre SP1", build 2987). After that FSX wouldn't start or crash within seconds. So I decided to uninstall the NGX completely. After uninstall windows (windows 7, 64 bits) showed a message box, saying that the uninstall might have been unsuccesfull. When I checked the status of the NGX installation, it was still present in the installed programs, although it didn't have the PMDG icon anymore. Trying to uninstall it again, didn't work, nothing happened and the entry remained. The software was uninstalled from the NGX directory, only the documentation and …

Hey! I installed the HotFix (current Version) yesterday. First Thing i noticed, my Liverys didnt disappear..still there.. when i run FSX, i noticed that my NGX started to bounce (that didnt happend WITHOUT the hotfix!) , when i changed the views outside.I also noticed that the wingflex has been improved. but when taxin i only can see a littl wingflex.. (i love the wingflex of the ngx, so i liked this bit more bumping while taxing without hotfix, maybe u give us a bit more when SP1 coming..)I guess i also had a little FPS lose with it... I am climbing through 12000 for FL3200. speed cannot be set. In fact only N1 can be.VNAV cannot be set....Here's a screenshot of my cockpit: Any ideas? Thanks! Mark

Hi all i've got 737 ngx downloaded from pmdg web site. installed it in my fsx guess what!!! landed the aircraft ok then it started to play up brakes miss functioned then the 737 was like bits missing just a shell. I got rid of the old cfg files and put the other ones back in still having problems with it.

well ones again, do not know why my first post has benn deleted. I have a problem with the NGX and LNAV and also Heading select at MCP.The autopilot is going from left to right and back to left around the magenta line on the ND and if I try to use heading mode on MCP he is going on any heading but not on theese which I selected. I hate to bring up this subject but I had another freeze. The last two feezes happened just after making a FMS speed and or altitude change where VNAV calucaltions must be made. It freezes before the cdu has time to display new altitudes/speeds in the legs page. I did not have freezes after the first three hot fixes, only with four. If I download and reinstall, would the download include hotfix four? Thanks,

Hi I'm getting very frustrated with the NGX. It's been sitting in the hanger for around a month as I'm getting frustrated with the engine start. For some reason engine 2 will not start on occasion. I have everything set to go and engine 1 starts fine, but 2 will not start. Is this a known problem? Thanks

Whenever I open a chat window and try to write something in a gamespy multiplayer server, buttons like "g" and "z" override / ignore text input and instead moves the gear lever or turns on the autupilot. In other words; in multiplayer the NGX takes precedence over the MP chat window. Certain letters do not work in the chat, only on the plane. And before you ask: Yes, the cursor is blinking and indicating that the chat is ready for text input. Anyone else have this issue? I have the 747 and the MD-11, and have no problem with them in multiplayer at all. If this is a bug, which I'm pretty sure it is, please put this in the SP1 to-do list. Thanks.

Hello, I have some questions regarding the B-737 and PMDG's 737NGX. 1) when I move the stabilizer trim wheel up/down on my control column/yoke, it appears when viewing the plane from the outside that it is the elevators which are moving up/down and not the stabiliizer. Is this correct? 2) When adjusting the rudder and aileron trim, which control surfaces get manipulated? Is it the tabs on these control surfaces? 3) For planes without auto-throttle, does the crew need to constantly adjust the thrust levers throughout the flight including cruise? Hey guys,I got few questions that I am hoping you guys could help me on 1) what is the "Packs" in the cockpit, what does it do? is it something you turn off during flight,etc? 2) CRZ altitude recommendation in FMC, does it take in account also the distance of the route , or only plane weight,etcwhen it suggests the optimum Hight for cruse? i.e. if my plane/FMC is recommending FL380 for optimum fuel burn, however my flight is only 130-160nmtotal, or in many cases I do routes of 70-80nm, which in away makes no scene climbing to such high altitude. would it suggest the optimum fuel burn CRZ altitude based also on flight distance or it would still stick to the FL380, etc? 3…

Hi,i just read/saw the video on the Boeing website that Boeing is offering now live-weather/wind updates via Uplink to pretty much any plane in the air (they mentioned even airbus) in order to save some fuel. It looks like Alaska Airlines and KLM are already using this new option. My question would be if it would be possible to include this feature into an upcoming SP? I guess that FSX somehow has to read/know the current winds anyway so maybe the NGX could read that date. I think many/most of us are also using ASE for weather depiction and maybe this could also be used directly to get accurate wind data for the different FL and destination. I took off from LSGG (Geneva) for a short flight to LSZH (Zurich) with an Air Berlin 738: upon passing FL140 the plane depressurized! After declaring the emergency, Swiss Radar cleared me for an rapid descent and the ILS 23 app into Geneva.ATC handled the emergency very well : Tuesday night is the Vatsim Switzerland online night. Worth a flight: they are very friendly and provide a great service. Best Karim
