PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hello all ! What is expected from the NGX when the hydraulics are off ? I mean, for example, with the PMDG 747, all the ailerons fall down, and the rudder moves with the wind. With the NGX, even when I cut off the hydraulics switches, nothing happens, so I suppose this does not occur with this plane. Any advice ? Renaud

Hi,Been away. Was too busy before I left to get properly stuck in to NGX. NOw I have returned, and got hold of Tom Risagers most excellent and informed "readers digest" of the equally excellent, but swede-creaming PMDG docs. I'm starting from scratch but as soon as I enter the cockpit my controllers stop working. I can't pan; change views nor activate any controller assigned action. I have obviously checked that it works in other payware and FSX aircraft, and it's fine. I use EZdok, and interestingly, even if I use EZStudio I cannot change the view; it's as if the input into the sim via the controller or any proxy thereof stops working.I can still change views via the key…

Hi guys, Got this problem ever since I got the NGX.After flying a while, or even just started the flight, with the NGX, FSX gives a RAM memory error, that I do not have enough memory, and then shut's FSX down. Really frustrating, really because I think my computer must be able to handle this by looking at what the NGX needs to run on the PC. Got these settings: AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 4850e4,00 GB RAMATI Radeon HD 3800 SeriesWindows 7 32-bit I also use mytraffic X, no other environmental or trafiic add-ons. Hi, I have a strange problem after loading my saved flight.I saved while cruising at fl340, with LNAV and VNAV engaged. AP, AT on. All normal.After reloading flight two days after I noticed that on ND there is no magenta line between waypoints, and on LEGS page in CDU there is "BYPASS" showing after each point.I tried going direct to my present target waypoint (selecting it and entering in first line again) - it removes all bypass'es and connects all waypoints on ND, but it also removes all speeds and altitudes from all wp's - so just after that vnav disconnects.I tried to change cruise fl in CRZ page, but when I enter it sim freezes and needs to be restarted (whole FSX d…

So i think the title says it all. I have a bit of a problem, Ai traffic is lining up for 33R and 15L at the same time. i did not change the wind direction (except for in the initial free flight setup). I noticed that ATC is only giving taxi and departure clearance for 15L, but there is quite a line for take offs on the 33R end of the runway as well. In fact, right as i lifted off of 15L I noticed an MD80 heading straight on for me landing 33R. What on earth is going on?? Please help me out folks! Thanks,Mitch Bowman

I have no screenshots so I will try my best to describe the issue. A flight KORD-COBS using LNAV and VNAV until I begin to descend at which time I switched from VNAV to V/SO and disarmed the A/T. Several times during the descent I armed the A/T to make sure the speed stayed in the 250-260 range during the descent and finally armed it for good at 11000 ft. No speedbrakes required during the descent. Wind at KBOS was from the northwest so I decided to land on 33L. However, the FMC does not show an ILS Approach even though there is one as can be seen from the attached chart. So I selected 33L which was for a VFR approach. Hello, It should be fairly simple to do, but has anyone had any problems in saving the panel state? I've tried and I get the CDU message 'Saving Panel State' but when I've checked the 'PanelState' folder and only the 3 default files are there and nothing's been saved, I'm stumped! Any suggestions? I was flying multiplayer last night with another NGX. On the ground everything is fine, and I can see the other NGX. (because we are close enough) Once we both took off, we could no longer see each other. Then messing around, if I zoomed in to at least a 1.50 zoom factor (VC or outside) the other NGX can be seen. This makes it hard to find the other plane because your view is very zoomed. This problem does not happen with any other plane. Is there a known setting that can be adjusted to fix this issue? Some sort of draw distance value? Thanks in advance.

Hello Have not done a go around for weeks now but went to do a go around at about 600 feet in full approach configuration so pushed toga but nothing at all pushed again but nothing happened still. I have been trying to simulate a go around again but still nothing so I have to disconnect AT and manually advances the power leavers, anybody else having this issue

Any one had any issues with the fuel levels, hydraulic levels, and oil level fluctuating wildly. I seam to have this issue and no idea what to do about it, flying along with 16000 ibs on board then 200 ibs any one got any ideas whats going on? just fsx and acc + ngx can't imagine it would be Fsx Thanks in advance Dave

I'm trying to make a repaint for the NGX using GIMP. When I open the kit in GIMP, performance slows too a crawl, to the extent that I am unable to get any work done with it. The actual airplane performs reasonably well. Any ideas?

HI PMDG,i was wondering WHAT ARE THE AFRICAN LIVERIES that you plan to do you considering the NGX release. Usually when i do a quick walk around on all the major forum we see pics, videos or discussion about europe, America and australia. The flight sim community forgets about us (just like in the real life by the way). Personally i'm from mali and Mauritania and living in Luxembourg. But guys we have some very very nice places in Africa. For instance southern Africa which is for me the most beautiful area of the continent. Why don't you do some test flights there to change a little bit from the usual sceneries by FS DREAM TEAM, Latin vfr, ORBX.....etc just to name a few…

Hi guys, I usually fly with one kinda of set up for the NGX [no hgs to save fps, kgs instead of lbs, trans alt 6000ft etc], And for every new repaint, I have to go through all the options every time there is a new livery, is there any way to standardise this proceedure? Also default trans alt doesn't work

This is weird but yet totally reproduceable ..if I select time and date and use sunset (dusk) time from the fsx menu, the NGX performance is lousy, running about only 14 to 18 fps and choppy with a variability of like 30%....yet if I move the time to day (midday or so) it is way up to my normal unlocked framerate (no limiter) of 30ish or so... at a place like KISM, with no ai traffic on, sliders on VD and V... by default of FSX original .cfg... anyone else here..? Hi, Actually I am on a 6-7 hour flight from EDDM to GVAC via KPT UL856 RAVED UQ227 NINTU UN869 AGN UL866 PPN UN10 VASUM UN857 GUNET UW11 PINPOAbout 10 minutes before TOD, about 100 NM before PINPO I got a panel freeze (the last one I had was at the second day after release). So I decided to save the fligt. As ay returned to the cockpit was still frozen. So I switched throug the views with the "A" key. After I passed througt the 2D pannel the freeze was gone. This wasn't the first time I could solve a freeze this way. The first time was at the second day after release. I also cycled througth the views and the freeze wa gone. If your FSX Default Airport Runway Information does not agree with the latest AIRAC then it is time to go looking for a newer AFCAD. With this in mind you have 2 choices. You can go buy a payware airport which would have a newer AFCAD than FSX Default or you can look for a freeware AFCAD on AVSIM of which there are many! One popular author is Ray Smith. He has put out a ton of AFCADs to fix various errors in FSX airport AFCADs.He adds more than just fixes to the Runway info. In many of his AFCADs new Terminals, Gates, Taxiways, are added as well as Fire Stations and Cargo Areas. It is definately worth your time to at least get an updated AFCAD for all the airports you fly…

I am doing the return flight to KMIA in the 737 today and I see all these routes on flightaware using the WAVEY SID but I do not see it what so ever in the DEP page in the FMC. Neither do I see a departure chart for it on any site? O_O

I have been trying to do something similar to what is shown in the first 60 seconds of this video: Two custom waypoints are added to help flying the visual approach, RW003 on the extended runway centerline, and RW004 at the start of a 3-mile base leg from RW004 to RW003. RW003 is created as an along-track waypoint 2 nm before the threshold of runway 06L (RW06L/-2). This works fine in the NGX. RW004 is created as a place/bearing waypoint from RW004 (RW003149/3). This does not work in the NGX. The problem seems to be that RW003 is not actually created as a true custom waypoint, it is simply stored as a shorthand notation for "RW06L/-2". I have a bug with the NGX : when I choose the plane in FSX's GUI, sometimes (I said sometimes), the "engine's cones" don't appear on the preview on my plane (watch the screen below) : Note : It also happens with the PMDG's default livery. I have used this website for months, and I'm sure many know about it, but in the interest of helping out those who are not in the know I wanted to pass along this wonderful resource for seeing how traffic works at some major European hubs. It's called Capser, and it has live and historical flight tracking. I find it useful to see how aircraft are routed for departures and arrivals, and find it fascinating to see how the real world traffic uses or DOESN'T use SIDS/STARS.
