    Doing a flight from SCEL to SCIP I just noticed the following. After an Aircraft passed 1000 feet below me going the other way I never picked him up on TCAS. I did have to reload a saved flight earlier after I froze up in the middle of the flight. What I found out was if you reload a saved flight sometimes the TCAS stops working. To get it to work again hit the TCAS Test Button. I did that after he passed me and then I finally picked him up on TCAS behind me.

  4. Currently, the 737NGX FMC does not calculate the reduced VREF speeds with the SFP package. I would be interested to know, if in the first service pack, PMDG will be implementing the lower VREF speeds. From what I can gather from the Flight Crew Training Manual, and other sources, VREF speeds are lower with two tail skids. And thus, with a lower VREF, angle of attack is increased, pitch is therefore 3.5 degrees up on approach. If the SFP VREF reduction isn't going to be coded into the FMC for the first service pack, what is the reduction in VREF associated with the SFP so I can determine this myself? Martin Wilby

    I noticed that a couple of weeks ago there were some links to hotfixes when you experienced CTD as a result of freezes. Currently I am experiencing more and more of these freezes which inadvertedly crashes FSX, which naturally is a pain in the ***, especially when I am flying for my VA online because it wrecks my logs. Any case, I can't seem to find these hotfixes. Is there someone who can direct me to them? Cheers,

    Greetings all, First I want to extend my appreciation to the PMDG staff for producing an add-on that raised the bar so far above the previous level I have dumped most of my other add-on aircraft. Great work PMDG! Now, for my question. I suspect this is an FSX problem but when I set the Vref speed according to the FMC with all the correct weights etc and come across the threshold exactly at Vref, the 800 series floats way too much IMO. For example, Vref is 135kts and the airplane floats and doesn't want to touchdown until the IAS is down to 115kts. Anyone else finding this to be true or is it just me. Thanks, Bill in Colorado

    Hello im a happy purchaser of the 737NGX but i noticed one thing which kinda nerfes me. Sometimes (not always) my turbines look so bad while having a fligth the bug appears in different flights but not always in all. I have the following problem: Turbines doesnt rotate and you can look through them if they are rotating with 100% + my Anti Collision just have a big red shine and doesnt flash. Is it a known bug or is it located to me? Hope for some help!

    Hi According to www.b737.org.uk the latest FMC imodel is 2907C1 which has a Motorola 68040 processor. Do you guys know in what programming language that FMC Motorola processor is written? I understand μC/OS would be a good choice since there would be a need for a real time OS and a FMC is a typical real time multitasking device. Any of you guys know more specific details? gura75

    I really love the quality of the NGX, easily the best addon in FSX, IMO. Having said that, I have to be so selective in where I fly because of fps issues. I get good frames in 2D, exterior views and wingviews; the bad frames are in the VC where I spend 99% of my time. They're acceptable in the air, but getting near any of the quality addon airports, and the best I can muster is 9-14 fps. I enjoy a better 19-22 fps in the J41, so I'm disappointed that the hype regarding the NGX performance didn't come through. Ryan, there was a discussion awhile back about a reduced size texture package, is that still in the works? Any other fps enhancements that may be included in SP…

    Hi, I am very happy with the NGX and my system was coping with it quite well. Some freezes and CTD's at the beginning stopped after some tuning of my system. Furthermore, I kept having some micro-stutters, but not too disturbing. Those stutters seemed to happen more often with each flight and finally weren't microstutters anymore, but major stutters.Yesterday, on a 3 hour leg from LTBA to LSZH, for the first time I had really major stutters lasting up to 60 to 90 seconds (!).     flying from ybcg to yssy with radar contact and ase real weather cruising at FL300 ASE indicated (-40 celcius i assume) but the TAT on the NGX was only -15 celcius i assume, anybody else had this issue in the NGX with ASE, I have also logged at HIFISIM forum but dont know if its ASE or the NGX thanks

    Hey all, I was just wondering (having watched a lot of air crash investigation lately....) if there is a way to see damage to an aircraft. For example, in DCS A-10 when you take damage it's evident and has an effect on the behavior of the aircraft and systems. You can lose part of a wing and the aircraft will behaviour (understandably) quite erratically. The same goes for the horizontal stabilizer, landing gear etc etc. I understand that as a combat simulator obviously the effects of damage are integral to the experience, however I was wondering if there is a way to see damage in this sim.     Hi guys... Maybe this has been suggested before...An option to choose between real time (like in the MD-11) and instant loading (like in the current version of the NGX) of Fuel...This option may also be extended to pax loading. Just an idea. Keep up the GOOD work!Out.

    Morning gents I have been enjoying the NGX with very little problems since installation and it has been a pleasure flying it. This morning I noticed that the text for MINS, BARO, RADIO and VOR 1 OFF" on the Captains EFIS disappears when I open the HUD. I'm including a couple of screenshots for you to see. Has anyone elso noticed this? By the way I have all the necessary tweaks including HIGHMEMFIX. Have a great day!

    hi i have had this for a few day and i cant seem to get it to work, i start the flight up and let it do its thing. i program the route in with sids and stars, then i put the fuel in but when i come to enter the crz FL as 180 for EGCC to EGLL, i get a message streight after entering it saying 'UNABLE CRZ ALT'. So i click clear but then my VNAV wont engage, so i take off and retract the flaps but once i have taken off i get the red overspeed bars all over the speed indicator till i touch down and they disappear, but when i am airborn and try to engage the VNAV it says 'unable next altitude', and switches to FL CH. both FD's are on all my altitudes are set in the fmc and my …

    Should there be a psd night texture file in the 737NGX paintkit. I notice that there is a .dds tail night texture file in the aircraft texture folder. When I repaint an aircraft the whole tail lights up instead of soft lighting over a small area. I tried using this the tail_lighting .dds from one of these folders but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

    Well this is not critical things.. It seems dev team forgot updating few functions.. 1. As I uploaded before, SID Transition does not updates when I select Transition if I choose them *BEFORE* selecting runway.You can do this by performing below.     Hi all, So much chat in here just lately, i'm not sure if anyone has asked a similar question yet! My system spec as you can see below, isn't top end by any means, in fact it's probably quite low end, when you read some posts on here!... Looking on the PMDG website at the new 737ngx i see the minimum requirement's are ok, but the best requirements are way short. So my question is this, Will the new 737ngx work on a system like mine? Ive tried tuning etc etc and have had a pretty good run, but it seems with heavy airport scenerys (orbx) as soon as i get into VC the throttles and overhead switches are not modelled, a quick restart usually fixes the problem.Im sure the guys are looking into it anyway, but has anyone else experienced the same? thanks guys.     Found my problems. CH yoke . Went back to joystick No more problems. Plane is flying great. Yoke was causing all the problems. Now everything is nice and smooth. Ch worked ok on other aircraft but not this one.It might be me and CH .If anyone can help with some advice of the yoke and pmdg737ngx it would be great I would like to go back to using it .Thanks
