G'Day Crew, Just wanted to confirm my problems before I reinstall everything. I ask for your professional help and comments, please! Original FSX installed on Win7 Pro, but under default folder/setup WITHOUT admin rights. Installed 737NGX, with everything seem to be ok but........................ Cannot save panel state. Cannot save aircraft setup/changes. Only shows defaults of both. Sick of changing everything each startup. Will also have to install Orbx Terrain etc. Regards, Rob Ricketts P.S. 737NGX was a LOOOOONGGG time coming but well worth it, well done. As a current Training Captain on the 737NG it is an amazing simulator!!

  3. This is the second installment of the NGX tutorial. Where the previous version took you from cold and dark to completion of the CDU preflight procedure, this continues the setup procedure up to the point where you are ready to go through the preflight checklist. In addition to correcting errors and typos in the first version, I have added around 45 pages of new material. The intended audience ranges from those that are completely new to Boeing-type addons in FSX, to those who know how to get in the air and land, but would like a more solid understanding of the airplane and its systems. The main advantage over the extensive documentation supplied by PMDG is that this tutor…

  4. Hey Everybody, Hope everyone is enjoying their flights. I was curious, does anyone have an EasyJet or Tam livery they wouldn't mind uploading or sending to me, yes i am very lazy and I dont want to build it. ThanksMax

  5. It was working fine a few hours ago and can't think of anything I've changed since my last successful flight. Any ideas? It begins to load then falls into the ground and crashes. I've tried everything I can think of as far as deleting saved flights or panel states. Edit: a repair install didn't fix it. I guess I'll try completely uninstalling.

  6. Hi all, I know that I can find it somewhere in the manuals but I just dont know where: how do I get the support equipment, how to get down the stairs, and how to open the doors? I actually expected somewhere some kind of a list like: F1: open cargo door, F2: open passenger door, etc... but where? NGX Introduction?NGX Tutorial 1?Operating Manual Vol.1?Operating Manual Vol 2?Quick reference handbook? Please help! Patrick

  10. These pinned videos about managing airspeed are nice, but they assume you're the only plane out there, and that's why you get to descend at 260 kts and cross the FAF at 160 kts. In the real world of course, ATC often has you at 320 knots on your descent "for spacing," and keeps you at 180 or 190 until five mile final. In these real world conditions, how exactly are you supposed to slow this thing? With a typical 180kts to five mile restriction, I put out full speedbrakes after that to zero effect, and the autopilot likewise can't slow, and I always come in fast. Is there a setting in aircraft.cfg I could change so speedbrakes and/or drag effect can be increased? In the re…

Yes. After tampering with the Aircraft Config file I found many variations of the 737NGX. Mine has no check list on the clip board and has fixed green sunroofs with standard automatic flight systems. I found many variations of the 737NGX tampering with the config file of the Delta livery that includes the drop down HUD and I was wondering if PMDG can include a proper form of way to change the variations of this aircraft? So far, I have been making two round trips from Minnesota to Winnipeg Canada per day without slew in real time using this aircraft. I fly about 8 hours real time a day. Thanks and cheers to you at PMDG!

Hi everyone Please advice on the following issue during landing (with auto brake 2/3): After touchdown and 80 knots reached I release reverse and try to use manual brake; Having 30 knots I stop braking and give some power to keep it and ensure taxiing (autobrake turned off by me!); But regardless of that the plane proceeds with slowing down till complete stop; And thereafter I can’t use manual brake and have to apply parking brake during taxi up to the gate. I took notice of that only a few times but I’d like to understand why it happens from time to time. What do I wrong? Sorry if the issue has been brought already somewhere, I didn’t find. Thank you. ps carbon b…

Shortly after take off I get buzzer and warning light on FO side for Overhead. Look up and Pass OXY ON light is on; note this is were the fuss panel needs to be functional, lol. I finally had to hit the sound so i could dig through the pdf - but i'm not getting the logic behind this book. Paasengers and crew all be dead if i was having to figure it out. the busser finally went of when i switched to the alternate pressurization. If that was the problem shouldn't there be a light for that, lol? EDIT: Ok, after reviewing the aircraft manuals I really gotta think that there should have been a warning light if the pressurization unit failed that i had to manually swit…

  14. It's been quite some time since I've worked on a ramp, but I seem to remember that the ground vehicle with the long yellow hose is the one we used to supply air to planes that had no APU. When I 'connect' the Air Conditioning Unit, I see what I remember being the air start cart. That being said, I worked in a climate where we never had to use an A/C unit, so maybe I'm just remembering wrong. Thanks for any additional info! -Tim Latona

I like the way one can customize the cockpit environment in the NGX.Here is my VC lighting for dusk and night. I was able to resolve the CTD when trying to load the NGX, either from the Free Flight screen or when changing to it from another aircraft. After a suggestion from Ryan about disconnecting my Saitek Hardware I was still having the CTD. I disconnected all my GoFlight peripherals and one-by one added them in. I can consistently reproduce the CTD if the TQ6 is connected - each and every time. I called GoFlight today and spoke with John and had asked about something that Paul, at PMD, had said in my ticket "It seems that there is some type of noise being introduced from the controllers during the load of the aircraft. " (This was in reference to the Saitek hardware tho…

What a great plane the 737NX is and I love all the things you can set up to configure the plane to your liking. The pushback feature with communication is a neat feature, where you get the option whether to be pushed straight back or left or right. So far so good. You also get the option to write how far you will be pushed back, but how do I know how far there is from the gate to the yellow taxiline? I hope you understand what I mean.

Hi all,I posted a response in another thread here before realising that there may already be a whole bunch of people here who actually fly these things for real, and the forum may not need some guy butting in with anecdotes of real world ops, which may or may not relate to the product. Whilst I don't own the NGX, I've been simming for years, and owned other PMDG products which have been consistently excellent. I happen to fly -800's IRL. Flying 101 (ZS-ZWP) in particular is one of my 'rides', which happens to be an available paintscheme (I sit in the labelled seat of 'Co-Captain', lol)! We operate short-haul, quick turnaround kind of ops. Typical LCC stuff I would imagine…

After weeks of testing I have concluded that the NGX runs a wee bit better on my machine without any limiter! No blurries as a result as well as *******' latest .cfg tweak installed - I do see that blurries creep in over time with the limiter running, without it's sharp as a photo on the old GTX280M I have. Also, frame rate spikes are not any worse without it except in external views...hmmmm...

It seems that the center pillar in the 2D panel is at an odd angle. It is almost vertical. I think it should slant towards the rear of the cockpit (I know this is a panel not a cockpit). I know the CS 752 slants to the rear from flying it. I am flying MD-11 right now and it slants rearward and looks more normal than the NGX does. I use both the 2D and VC for flight. I use the 2D for takeoffs and VC for everything else. Just a thought. Michael Cubine

Hi If I save a 'Panel State' with the Air-stairs deployed, then reload that same panel state later the stairs are stowed again. I tend to use the same 'Panel State' for all flights i.e. Electrical power supplied by Ground Power with the fwd left passenger door, air stairs and both cargo doors open, simulating a normal ramp configuration when the crew arrive at the aircraft. However I have to lower the air stairs each time as they are not being saved correctly. I brought this subject up tagged on the end of another post of mine and Ryan said this problem was fixed in one of the Hot fixes. Unfortunately on my computer its not, and I have the latest hot fix installed vers…
