  1. Started by newtie,

Hi- I've purchased a new computer and have moved everything over. Having issues with the NGX following a flight plan. Here are the details... Flight plan = KLAX RZS PEGRS ZONAL BSR KSFO Everything works fine until I'm 20 miles out of BSR, get a Master Caution warning and the NGX continues straight. LNAV is still on (see pic) FSUIPC weather settings off and wind smoothing on. Didn't have this problem on my old machine so I know I must be missing something somewhere. Any ideas? Thanks, Mark

  2. I am curious as to where you guys find your flight plans, I use 'Free online flight planner' ( http://www.flightsimaviation.com/_flight_planner.html ) and I'm sure a lot of others use this too, but I was wondering if there is any other places you use to create your flight plans or even find and use real world flight plans, or if there are any places you would reccomend. Kind Regards, Danny

  5. I was wondering if it is possible to save specific VC views for recall when needed? I wanted to save a shot of the throttle quadrant and use a hot key to display it when needed. Is this possible? Thanks...

Just loaded 737ngx onto new computer. Autopilot diengaging mid flight. Aircraft not being controlled from this point. VNAV, LNAV and CMD functions are selected and are illuminated. N1, LNAV and VNAV SPD are being displayed at the top of the PD. CMD also displayed in PD top of artificial Horizon. My FSX files are located on an SSD which I have formatted and reloaded all FSX and PMDG files to try and fix problem but didn't work. I have flown many hours on my old computer with no such isuues. Using latest edition FSUIPC, Win7 on an ASUS Z87-C Motherboard. CH Stick, Throttle and rudder pedals using individual motherboard USB ports(Not Hub). Any ideas would be appreciated. …

  7. I'm in 2D view and when I try to zoom or dolly left or right, the outside moves (very slowly) but not my cockpit POV. Do I have something set wrong? I can't see the throttles/flaps, etc. Thanks for any help.

Do you guys planning on addingthe alternating landing lights to the 737s as an option other than the solid ones? I know Alaska uses them. Here's an example.

Hello, Just my thoughts on the two tutorials supplied by PMDG, I like them. They have been a good insight into learning about this aircraft albeit scratching the surface. What I like about the tutorials is the way they are presented, user friendly, its a bit of a journey of learning along the way with the possibly of picking up good flying habits. Cross referencing to FCOM's is a good idea because it gets you into the habit of reading the Boeing manuals that are supplied. If more Tutorials were made (even with a small fee) the opportunities would be endless. I realise there are other platforms for training out there but I like tutorials so if PMDG read this "More tutori…

My favorite PMDG 737 and i think it still the best on market  , i use to fly approaches visually and skimming AP. One think i don't like on PMDG 737 , in 3D & 2D cockpit , those clean windows in rain weather condition. I'd like to have more dirt on that . Nevertheless i think PMDG need a lot to do for emergencies perform ens data quality & etc etc

Hi, Just want to say : THANK YOU PMDG I'm back in Flight Simulation after many years of vacation… I had started to build The Big Cockpit. When I saw the possibilities with the 737 NGX and TrackIR, I stopped to build the big thing, and just produce the essential = Yoke, Rudder, Landing gear lever, Throttle Quadrant, all home made, controlling with SIOC and Open Cockpit IO CARDS. The NGX is just fantastic. My preferred moment: Starting the engine. The sound is so cool… Some pictures of my setup. JP

I'd like to get an MCP/EFIS for the NGX. Can anyone comment on their experience with either of these companies equipment and how well it works(or doesn't) with the NGX? I use Opus and I know they include the CPFlight driver so that would probably be the "easiest" solution as far as set up goes from what I can tell. No dealing with SIOC. But, it's also another $300 more(CPFlight EL version) than OC.

Hello, I'm Aaron, and I was wandering, is the center fuel tank supposed to use fuel while the crossfeed valve is set crossfeed in the center fuel pumps are off? It always starts to drain when I'm descending. But it doesn't do that during climb cruise. Is this normal?

Just wondering. I'm flying the NGX on a stormy day into Montreal and it seems like a crosswind landing is necessary. Is the autopilot able to have the aircraft fly in the diagonal direction that is used on crosswinds?

  21. Hi all, During the past few months I have developed an excel sheet to be used for weight and performance planning. I've designed it at tested it with the NGX. The sheet has been updated quite a few times and by now it can do almost everything that TOPCAT does (with much better fuel calculations). It can be downloaded at avsim. (use link below). The sheet can be used for fuel and weight planning and the latest versions can also calculate reference speeds V1, Vr, V2 Vref and Vapp, and takeoff performance (derates and assumed temperatures). The sheet is build around an airport and runway database. - Enter departure, destination, and alternative airport as ICAO co…

I ###### to do some experimenting with the PMDG-737 and my last one is to shut down the engines by moving the engine start levers to cut the fuel. After that I intend to start them again but so far I have no success. I start the APU and have no idea what to do next. The tutorials I read start from cold and dark. Can anybody explain what to do in a step by step matter ? Much appreciated HubertWerni

I am starting my 737 cold and dark. I go through all the procedures, I even initialize the IRS and wait for the align lights to go out. But the map display will not initialize. I have no idea what I need to do.

Hello, recently I noticed something that looked like low level clouds passing by my right side while just coming in to park the 737 for the night. it was light out and I took a look outside and saw that there was smoke or vapor or some kind of thing that looks like that coming from the aft landing gears. I was stopped and thought that is strange. The next day I took a flight and was passing by some mountain ranges so I thought I would take a screen shot and saw the same sort of smoke or vapor coming from under the jet, this was not contrails, as it was visibly below my jet just about where the gear would be if it were down. What this really looks like is how the gear mig…
