PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I am having a problem with the effect the wind as on the airspeed of the aircraft, the problem seems to effect more when on finals. The weather conditions are variable winds, I know this should have effects but not too the degree it has! Anyone know a way to fix this? Cheers Robert Ainley

Apologies if this topic has been discussed before. I tried to search it but didn't really find anything useful. During my climb between 5000ft - FL 200 LNAV was getting frequently disengaged for some reason. I noticed that every time it disengaged after a turbulence as the plane was shaking sidewise. I do not have any weather add on and I was only using standard fsx realtime weather. So is it normal for the LNAV to get disengaged after a turbulence? On a separate note, during another flight all on sudden my auto pilot stopped working even though I didn't sign up for any emergence or failure. I can't seem to find information in the FMC tutorial for the PMDG 737 NGX on how to determine total time for flight, or the time remaining before reaching destination. Can someone please direct me to where I can find this information? In long haul flights, I obviously don't sit by my desktop throughout the flight. Instead, I "approximate" the time that I need to return prior to descent instruction by ATC, but sometimes, I miscalculate and overfly the top of descent. Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone, Finally delurking here. I decided to do a short rough and tumble flight today, and decided to test the SFP and terrain functions. I also enabled HUD to try out VMC. Gol 738, fuel 25%, load factor 100%. Instead of SBRJ, I chose something completely different KLVK (Livermore) -KRNO. Flight plan LIVERMORE1-SAC-SIERRA3, FL210. The flaps 25 - 27kbump takeoff was incredible, then a few minutes into the flight, AP disconnected and FMC MSG: Program Pin Error. I'm certain that in-flight malfunctions were disabled. Apologies if this topic has been discussed earlier but I am a newby into the flight simulation world so I am a bit confused about how to handle the problems I am facing since I have started using Windows 7 64 bit. Everything was running fine until I upgraded my system to a quad core and installed Windows 7 64 bit. - First of all the cockpit sound wasn't working. So I read some discussion here and reinstalled NGX and Direct X. Fortunately it did work and the cockpit sounds were back. - But now I can't see any trim value displayed. As a newby it's really hard for me to assume the trim value just looking at the wheel or the dial. Any help to get the display back…

Hey guys, My issue is with initial climb. I set the FMC fine, import flightplans from PFPX, calculate loads and weights and set the aircraft up for econ climb. Under FL250 it climbs at around 2000 - 3000 fpm, from FL250 - FL320 it slows to about 1400fpm, but after a certain height it just slows to about 50fpm until I take over myself and force it into a real climb. I've turned off step climb options in PFPX and the FMC, and the aircraft isn't struggling with speed in the climb (usually .768). It's not a major issue, just want to know if I'm doing anything wrong here. Maybe it's a simple fix. Thanks for your help, -Karl

Can the PMDG 737 be flown like Southwest? Multiple flight segments in one setting without having to exit and start over again? I fly the FeelThere planes a lot right now and thats my biggest complaint, is that I can't do a say KIAH to KBHM and back flight without having to exit after landing in KBHM and starting a new flight because the FMC can't be "reset" without doing so. Always wanted to jump off the cliff into PMDG....

I was flying at cruise, when VNAV disconnected and gave me "vertical path full" error. Ive searched online and the manuals, and nothing comes up. If taken literally, it would mean there is too much vertical path information. Is that really possible? I doubt there would be limitations on that. Anyhow I proceeded on course with lvl chg and adjusting as need be per the star. Thanks

Hi guys. So when you take your 737 ngx out of the hangar for a nice flight, what steps do you make in the flight planning procedure? What addons do you use to create the ultimate flight? e.g. topcat, efb, fscommander, fsbuild, opusfsx, etc. I mainly use, topcat, efb, used to use fsbuild, but many information is duplicated so i find it diffucult which info to use from what addon like fsbuild and topcat, so it also matches with the ngx weights and trim settings. When i try to hold the altitude at same level the button wont turn green and the autopilot wont put the plane on 7000 feet pls help?

So I recently picked up the NGX thinking I could run it decently on my aging i7-860 with a mild OC (usually a 3.3-3.9 variable with Speedstep still on). I've tried pushing my OC further with HT turned off but capped at 3.7ghz due to my chip not being a good OC'er (cooling is good I'm using a Noctua NH-D14, it's the chip) but only gained a couple fps so it wasn't worth the hassle (or maybe it is and I'm underestimating?). Hi all- Trying to move the NGX to a new machine. When trying to activate, I enter my code, it says it's activated, then the window opens again, asking for the code. Support says to be sure that Flexnet Licensing is set to manual; it is. That was three days ago. Other than that, they've been no help at all. Any suggestions? I'd like to get this installed. Hi all, just a question, when I'm the 737NGX at 30,0000 (which is low for a 738) the top speed is only 310?, I don't think that's right somehow. I see 738 on flightrader24 at 39,0000 at a speed of 450. Any suggestions on what could be wrong?, I've tried it in all kinds of weathers and it's still the name. If I go over the limit of 310 the aircraft starts to jump around the place and swings back and for.

Does anyone else have a problem when sitting at the gate with engines idling, the plane is crawling forward. When I press f1 over and over, the RPM's drop then I stop moving. After I stop hitting F1, the RPM's come back up , and I start moving again. This happens even when I have parking brake set. Is there something in a config. file that I can change? Thanks for help.

Hi, Cant seem to find any infomation about this,Iam using pfc throttle quad,ihave engine thrust levers working ok,even the revverse thrust lever works except when deploying it the amber light just flashes and goes straight to green. have tried callibration dosnt make any diference. hey everyone, So i get the MSG on my FMC and I cant figure out why. Im flying from KLAX>KLAS, still a noob but learned how to run the NGX recently, i put my origin and dest on my mfc, then placed all my waypoints from SimRoutes.com on KLAS runway 25R, I have the takeoff waypoints all the way through OSHNN and into DAG, about 9 points in total, Direct on MFC. I then have the ending points from DAG to KLAS, with an approach to runway 25L, I have the exact way points that make up the route in my RTE on FMC. I normally get to FL280 that i've set just fine. But once I pass the halfway point and into DAG, nothing happens. I will get even 30-40NM from the airport and…
