PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. So I am playing with the 700 series add-on for PMDG and I have a couple of questions that are probably answered somewhere in the 3000 pages of manual but I want to make sure it is not a bug and see if anyone else has the answer right off the bat rather than searching for hours in a book thicker than the Bible. SEE IMAGE BELOW. CLICK ON TO FULL SCREEN IT. 1. When I turn on the lighting for the cockpit and turn it just past halfway the back panels on the MCP LEDs turn blue. Is this normal ops? It never did this in the 800 series. 2. The TCAS Indicators never went away on the MFDs. The indicators were on during power up, pre-flight check and on into the f…

  4. Hello, I bought the DVD-PMDG 737NGX. This add'on work properly. See my last video But I have a problem (with 800 and / or 900), and whatever the livery (pmdg or other). In external view, when the doors are opened, through the hole, you can see the inside of the plane is transparent (see 2 screens attached). I saw that the file named "pmdg_737NGX_cabin.dds" is the inner texture. this file is not corrupt because it opens with DXTBmp. The problem of texture is not detrimental to flight, but it is frustrating external view with GSX or AES. Sorry for my English, Best Regards Philippe LAGUENS (France)

Due to problems i had to uninstall the 737NGX. I also had installed the KLM livery. Now I re-installed the 737NGX. Till so far no problems. Then I want to re-install the KLM livery via the Livery Manager, but every time I get the message: "Texture.KL already exists!", but I don't see it in the Installed liveries folder, only the PMDG House Winglets is present. How can this be solved?

  11. I've flown the NGX now about 30 times. In the last 5 or so flights I have not been getting the V1, V2, etc to populate (I can manually enter them) in the FMC. I fill out all the weights/ temps/ flaps/ route/ etc for takeoff. Anyone know what I am missing? Thanks! Al

Hey guys, is it possible to enter coordinates as custom waypoint into the CDU FIX page on the NGX? Since adding the 777 to my fleet, I am recently trying to make myself a bit more familiar with ETOPS procedures and learned that during ETOPS operations the FIX page is used to draw distance rings around the diversion Airports in order to see the ETOPS entry and exit points and that the ETP point's coordinates can as well be entered into the FIX page (at least on the 777). Now I was just trying the same on the NGX, however I failed to enter the ETP coordinates into the FIX page. I tried it with the format Nxxxx.xWxxxxx.x and also with NxxWxxx, both resulted in "I…

Good day, I recently updated my 737. Ever since the update, the digits that appear on the radio panel and the pressurization panel are red. They still operate normally. I can pressurize the aircraft and tune VOR`s and LOC`s and talk to ATC. However, it is aesthetically displeasing. I am running Collins on the MCP so I don't think that is the problem. But the best way to describe the digits is that they look identical to Honeywell. I am having problems loading my screenshot so bare with me on the description. I have read in the changelog that an LED digit bug was fixed. I don't think this was the "fix". Thanks in advance, Dylan L. If it helps. The current version I h…

  16. To Fellow Simmers, I was landing my 737NGX into KSJC Rwy 30L using ILS approach (Freq = 110.90, CRS = 303, ID = I-SJC). I tuned the freq according to the "ILS or LOC/DME RWY 30L" chart during approach to IAF at GILRO. For some reason it locked on to the opposite ILS beam for Rwy 12R (having the same freq of 110.90 but CRS=123 and ID= I-SLV), so it turned my landing from a straight-in ILS to a "back course" landing. I am using the default KSJC from FSX. Did anyone experience this? What went wrong or how to correct it to lock onto the right beam I-SJC? Thanks for any input. Joe

  18. Hi, I don't know if someone can help. I purchased the NGX737+ 700/600 base and the latest T777. Everything was working fine and until I decided to re-install everything: I re-installed the following: OS. -- Windows 7 - 64 bit (As before) FSX NGX T777 A bunch sceneries (aerosoft etc..) Usually when I load the NGX or T777, it asked to activate the planes online (this happens only once). but I am NOT getting this at all... I have removed Norton Antivirus and re-installled, still not working. The planes have sound but no gauges are all blacked (as if the everything was shutdown). Yes, I have just raised a ticket with PMDG support... …

Hello guys. First time that I used PFPX for planning my flight I was not getting a correct weight. I saw that I should set pax weight to 79 kilos or 175 pounds but, what about baggage ?. If I leave it as a default, ZFW is 3000 kilos over what FMC shows. If I set baggage to 0 KILOS and PAX 79 kilos it works fine and If I set PX to 69 and bagge to 10 it works fine as well, Could you please guys say to me how do you have setted ? Thanks in advance Ivan

Hi there. I'm new to the pmdg 737 -800NG so I'd be grateful if someone could answer a couple of questions for me 1) i've programmed the FMC with my crz altitude and set the MCP to 10,000ft as per the initial ATC clearance, I will engage VNAV after takeoff and the aircraft will climb to 10,000. In order to begin the next stage of the climb I have to disengage and then re-engage VNAV (press off then on again) in order to begin the next phase of the climb. Is this the correct way of doing things? 2) Secondly, when performing an ILS approach at say London Gatwick, I tune the radios (nav1+2) and select the correct ILS app in the dep/arrivals page of the FMC. howe…

  25. Started by Dimka,

Hey guys! So I have had the 737NGX since December of the year it was released. And with my new rig, I want to start flying it for reals. I know MOST of the FMC setup, but what I don't know (according to the title) is all the steps before the decent. I don't know when to start descending (I usually set a fix radius), and the process to automatically guide the plane from auto-decent to auto-land. YouTube tutorials are misleading, as most of them are different, and I might need to read how to do it. So if anyone knows how to expertly (smoothly) do the process after cruising altitude has been reached. That would be great! -Thanks Dmitri S.
