I start Flight to get Aerocache. After long loading time I get to first mission! I've ESC and exit game. Started it again. Getting to Hawaii default map with all missions circles over map, different picture of the pilot. Tried to switch to Alaska. Ok, it works. I've looket at missions and challenges section. None of them completed! Looking to pilot stat. Some sections OK (total of aerocaches, flight time, XP). Only aircraft section was reset. All zero. And all graphic settings was at default. Anyone else have same problem? ... I believe it's problem with my computer. I'll be back soon.

So I had something a little strange this morning. I use a Logitech G19 keyboard with my system. I was flying a very long job, and got a little bored. On the upper right part of the keyboard, just above the numeric keypad, is a scrolling wheel. This wheel turns the volume up and down. I can't recall ever using it before to do that, as my speakers have a volume knob that is easily accessible, but I moved it down and back up just I guess for the heck of it. Well moving it down had the expected result, kept lowering volume till it was silenced. However, scrolling it back up - while the volume increased as expected, the dang plane went nuts! Lights going on and off, flaps…

Please god make it a Jet, and an SDK - then we will be happy forevermore.

Sure would enjoy one of these... Hopefully they have already developed it and will release at a later date. This aircraft would allow for some passenger transport. Something that I really enjoy. Still small enough to get in and out of the smaller (EDIT: not smallest) airports in Alaska and Hawaii. CRJ 200 = FUN!!!!

Hi all, for me it has been - related to flight sims - the most surprising but also worst news ever heard. Flight has got the most important things, a Flight Sim must have. The phyiscs come very very close to reality combined with beautiful graphics at 60 fps constantly. But what am I talking ... its over, due to not being profitable. Really? There are much more players in multiplayer than in Wings of Prey, Cliffs of Dover, Apache, IL2 1946 together, not to speak about, X-Plane. So why can they afford it and Microsoft not? And after a long time of developement, why dropping this game after only 6 months? I would spend a lot of money, if I only could. I bought all the …

hi, long time lurker here. flight didnt do it for me as im fsx 'old school' but with its demise, if they could only release an 'unlocked game' as DLC which would enable me to add scenery and aircraft from fsx, i would jump at that! then there is the sp3 for fsx, if that was adapted for flight including a weather system and AI, im sure that would bring in substantial much needed revenue! lol just wishful thinking from me alas...just seems a real shame with so much 'good stuff' sitting on a MS shelf and where they could grab a few quid and extend flights life for 5 years. who knows.....during that time they might fancy another venture in fs sim?? regards…

I bought the new cub with the GPS gadget ( I have never used a plane GPS), I had hoped that they would teach you something about using the GPS and the the new dials and buttons, they didn't, so bottom line is, can someone point me the right direction to read up on how to use the new electronics in the cub. I know how to turn it on and I have noticed you can see airports and the direction in which to approach to land, which helps a lot, but that is about the extent of my ability to figure anything out. Can you name these aircraft, all saw service in Hawaii and Alaska hence the connection to Flight. Easy peze From Airventure 2012. What do people use to upload video to the forum. I have some (AVI) great stuff from the Toro, Toro, Toro re-enactment of the Pearl Harbor attack put on by the Commemorative Airforce. It is a very powerful and emotional show If anyone is interested? I have never had any luck uploading video.

Don't forget to deploy flaps on landing. The aircraft will float over the runway a surprising distance if you don't use flaps. The plane rolls to the left. Aileron trim is totally useless. Leave the torque effect option on for takeoff and landing, turn them off for cruise. Before you get into a crosswind condition on a job, spend some time doing high speed taxis at an airport with a long runway that's good and wide. Aileron into the wind can help counteract the weathervane forces that turn your plane into the wind. Raising the eyepoint with Control-W so you can see the horizon when you're on the ground helps a lot with takeoff and landing. Be very car…

First, let me remind people that I left Flight over a year ago, and im NOT an official source of info, but I just wanted to say a few things about the death of Flight. Also there is not much I can talk about without braking an NDA that im still held under, even if the project was canned. First, is it dead? Yes. I have a LOT of good friends that are now unemployed, and MS has officially reported Flight as canceled. Its currently unclear how long the Flight servers will be kept up. Shucks. If I had known what the aerocache was going to be tomorrow, I could have killed 3 birds with one flight. It is shown as "On top of the highest summit in North America". Gee, wonder where that might be. Don't think I'll use the cub on this one like I did today.

Early in my Flight beta testing experience I made a post about how Flight could make me feel like I was in a real airplane rather than sitting at a computer. For the most part, I'm really enjoying the great scenery in Alaska. Every now and then I come across some incomplete graphics, but this one is a beaut. The mighty Yukon river is blocked between Ruby and Galena (Pitka). After following it's underground track a few miles, it resurfaces again. I hope there still are some maintenance staff who can fix some these glitches. A side note: I created a flight plan to follow the complete Iditarod trail, from Anchorage to Nome, landing at all 30 checkpoints in my Cub. You really gain an understanding of what a huge undertaking this is with a sled dog team. Doing it with my Cub at 90 MPH is taking quite a while.

This is really unconfortable to me, but I can't avoid feeling it, and sharing it here, just as I tend to do with all of my simmer feelings :-) I have FSX Golden maxed, RealAir SF260, Lancair, Aerosoft Twin Otter, KatanaX, DiscusX. Lisbon looks gorgeous (it is Gorgeous!), I have boats and cars on roads, Light Bloom and many other effects I was never able to enable on my old machine, and still getting between 24 and 30 fps allover :-). Short flights between Montijo Airbase (next to where I live) and LPPT just as I do in ELITE, give me a very realistic view of the town, the Tagus river, etc... Struggling with finding places in Alaska, it being so big and me being from the shire.... And my new Cub being so slow :-) Is there a succinct list of the places/airfields in Alaska that have been well implemented? Just where is Unalalakaleet? I have encountered, on several occasions, individuals whose profile says they are level 44 . They cannot be targeted in the game and they have very few achievements. Can anyone shed more light on this?

flying in Alaska - both Stearman and Icon - aircraft wants to roll to the left. i can either use right aileron trim as a temp fix, or fly with my yoke about 20 degrees to the right. this has happened the few times i've flown in Alaska - the pack was purchased from Steam. what I've done - checked config in windows controllers for my Saitek yoke and CH rudder pedals - all good check input selectors in Flight - all good shame on me - i haven't tried flying in Hawaii since I installed Alaska - that will be my next step i have NOT changed any config files, or changed anything since downloading Alaska - the only change has been accepting the default control…
