Pick the Maule (although any of the "Deluxe" aircraft will do, less the Carbon Cub(?)) and chose a windy weather theme like "Squalls" to have strong and shitfing winds with turbulence Pick pick it up to say, 4000'. It took me years to accept/understand why a Prop Aircaft, single or multi (provided not counter-rotating), should start banking/yawing to the right (on a clockwise rotating prop as seen from the cockpit) when the throttle was retarded/idled... I could understand the Torque, P-factor, Slipstream and even Gyroscopic effect contributing to a left bank/left yaw when power is applied , i.e.: during climb/go around, etc... (something we have debated here several times regarding FLIGHT), but I just couldn't understand why there should be a bank to the right when the throttle was retarded, say, during descent. Really can't understand, if flight is dead why is MS asking our favourite planes, doing contests and going in to meetings. Is flight really dead? or MS only stopped development and there are other plans in the horizon?

Don't know how many of you are still actively in multiplayer, but for those who are, please (pretty please!) if you are hosting, and there are several players online, could you (if you do not already) take a moment to issue a general warning a few minutes before terminating the session? Hi to all, as title says. Is there also any freeware program to send command with voice? While some of us, including myself, expect forward that FS2Crew can support voice control for GSX I found a program, Voice Activated Command (14 days trial), which can control GSX with voice. This software is very simple and runs in the background while FSX is opened. Maybe it's similar to Voice Buddy but I don't know it. So sorry in advance if this is a redundant information and already know, but maybe someone doesn't knows that he can control GSX with the voice. I've been flying FSX lately, and got to wondering what I was giving up by not flying in Flight. The best I can figure it, there are three things: 1. Flight has a much more sophisticated flight model. 2. Flight's lighting and shadows are to die for. 3. Flight will run at much higher frame rates on most people's computers. There are a few gaming aspects that are gone as well, especially the aerocaches, but we can do a little research and decide where we want to fly just to check something out. In Flight, I missed the way I had set up the outside camera in FSX. Hi, Just joined, partly in the hope that someone can please help with my latest obsession. It's not just the current Microsoft Flight, which I have just installed and I like, but the music. Does anyone know what this slide-guitar/banjo instrumental is, and where I can get it? It sounds a bit like the Eagles. MS Flight Forum Changes Upon the earlier announcement of the discontinuation of "MS Flight" J van E requested us to relieve him of his moderation duties. I purchased the Carbon Cub Deluxe from the the Live Marketplace and when I press F-9 to get into the cockpit, all that is shown is a head-on view with the prop spinner heading toward me. Am I missing something here? After all, the only reason I purchased it was to have a cockpit. Any ideas? The only possible conflict I know of is this. Some weeks back I tried to purchase the Alaska expansion pack on Steam ... Like many ... I didn't realize you have to have Flight Purchased and installed from Steam before the expansion pack will work. I am an unrepentant picture taker. For any reason and at any moment, I take pictures. Surely, many of you are like that. It makes no difference if the pictures are good or not, and with big hard drives, it doesn't really matter. I still have plenty of pictures on my computer of FS 10. And also FS 9, 8, and even 7. Hi, I'm attempting to change the [Terrain] LODRadius=3.5 to something else (like 4.5) in the Flight.CFG file, but after making the change and running Flight, it reverts right back. Has anyone had success at making changes to the file and having them stick? It seems as though the 'Cloud' has control. Or this dark colored IPA is kicking my brain around. Thanks for reading,

I can't help but see the irony in this. When I first got Flight, the week it was released, I really liked flying the RV6 - and then soon after fell in love with the Stearman. I very much enjoyed flying the challenges with each of these, and flying hamburger runs with the RV, and biplane tours with the Stearman. I was having a blast with those planes. In the meantime I tried out the Maule, and my initial impressions were - wow, what a pig this thing is. Then I started playing around with some of the jobs, course not much I could do for these but select the Maule. So while I was getting into and liking flying jobs, I hated having to fly " the pig". Although I doubt anyone here cares too much about my little joys, I have discovered a new source of entertainment. If you play Flight in windowed mode, using the full screen script talked about in the "How to use GMap as a popup within Flight full screen" tutorial....you can have your windows media player up as you fly. I recommend starting media player, right-click to options, Player tab, and check Keep Now Playing on top of other windows. Then hit ctrl-2. it makes the player super small, and also fades in opacity when not being interacted with. Then go grab Pink Floyd's Learning to Fly if you don't have it. Today's Aerocache is a little more demanding than recent aerocaches, which is a good sign for me :-) There is only a little problem. The hint reads - Tune Nav1 113.3 on the 142 radial, and Nav2 112.3 on the 124 radial... If you plot it on a map you'll easily glimpse the radial for Nav1 is reciprocal, so, it's a lot easier if you use: 113.3 radial 322 (= 142 + 180) 112.3 radial 124 ;-) Get it guys! It's worth 5000XP!!!

I have been just touring north along the George Parks Alaska Highway and route of the Alaska Railroad enjoying the scenery at low level. Just north of the town of Healy (and Healy River Airport) the paved highway turns bright crimson. Is this a glitch, bug, and or intentional? Anyone else see this? Maybe it is a caution area for road work in progress! Interesting indeed.
