Ok so I am slow compared to others, but finally I am flying the Cub and really enjoying it, especially doing clandenstine jobs with it in Alaska, especially when taking off from runways like this one: I don't remember it's name, but I call it TPF ( The Pucker Factor ) lol. Later on in the job, I got to see finally some civilized areas, even with a little color! I am pretty sure flying the Cub, one just will not get busted in these Clandenstine jobs in Alaska. I have flown like 7 or 8 of these jobs in a row now, and the only time I see anything it is very briefly, and by the time the copilot finishes warning me about him, the interceptor is gone.

This one is easy. Look around the area after getting the cache. There are some things that you might not notice initially like the VOR nearby and the little red top lighthouse. Good area for sightseeing.

Making my own challenges / entertainment. Start a job with a good runway for a destination, carry almost no fuel, get on course and hit the "N" key when available. You will exit warp about 5 miles out. The co-pilot will use just about every line of dialogue he knows all at once concerning lack of fuel and landing. Very funny. Meanwhile you have to manage rate of decent and decide when to deploy gear and flaps in order to make the runway. to bad you can't feather the props, they are a real drag. If you don't make it you can always go back to the "check point" and try it again. An option that you don't have in the real world. But you do learn from your mistakes. After …

I love quicksilver, you know, mercury, not the ultralight (although I really love the ultralight! ) Such a strange element, silvery bright, flowing quickly. The chemical symbol for mercury is Hg which stands for hydrargyrum, that is, silver water. Some of the streams in Flight look like hydrargyrum, silver water, with their brightly shining effect. Such a pretty effect. Best regards. Luis

Paul Donnelly challenged us to do dead stick landings some months ago. Now, this is particularly cruel for people like me who are not very good pilots, although it is easy for Paul. An airplane quickly drops like a rock when deprived of its engine, and the Stearman is definitely not the best airplane in which to practice dead stick landings. But, it's hard in any of the Flight planes. There is an Achievement for a dead stick landing (got it! ) and Paul Lange had created some dead stick landing missions for FS X. And he did it again for Alaska. I am just getting around to the Alaska Activities because I have been having too much fun with the Cub. I tried the …

So finally I have spent some flying time with the Deluxe Carbon Cub, have been flying some clandenstine cargo jobs in Alaska for the last couple of days with it. I figured I would give it a try knowing it would be easier to takeoff and land at some of these smaller airstrips with nice tall trees off the end of the runway. Only drawback is , it can be a little slow. I had previously only done one short flight with the Cub, now that I have done a few more I am enjoying it more. I find though the prop effect to be pretty strong whilst cruising, I have to continually feed in a fair amout of right rudder to keep the wings level. Thankfully my rudder pedals are pretty comf…

Curtiss C-46 is the last and least DLC from Flight team that was finished before the announce of Flight's demise. As the whole Flight team is disbanded, Soliceste & Loki, community managers, have been able to get this very last (and also the bigger !) plane DLC for Flight out of the pipes. The plane is already released on Live market and within the game DLC market (means Live too). You may notice that the price is reduced if you instabuy from ingame (560 points) rather than from the website (640 points). There is the US store link I wasn't able to see it in the Steam Flight DLC list. There is no checklist nor detailed cockpit view for this plane. Flaps …

I'm not sure this one is spelled right on the Microsoft Flight site, but here it is as posted. I'm also not too sure if I have this one either. Off to hunt now. Good luck and enjoy. The name is actually spelled correctly. When I looked it up in the internet I watched a really neat video of the area. I didn't know that the ranch at this location and one of the more prominent peaks were used in the TV series "Lost". And, I did not have this one collected. But now I do. So I get to add another to my list of finds.

Today I finally got some time to fly a bit. I selected a passenger flight from Deadhorse to Badami with four souls in the cub. It was a bit crowded. The flight went perfectly with small corrections for a crosswind and I greased the landing. The green checkmark stayed green all the way to the parking area at Badami. When I was scored, I got no happy passengers. What? When I checked my profile, my "sickened" passenger count had gone up by four. Wonder how in the world I got that? Grrrrrr!!

EDIT: It's back online now. I'd like to do the daily aerocache but can't log into live at the moment. Was wondering if others are experiencing this also. The service status https://status.live.com/ and xbox status http://support.xbox....box-live-status look fine. The Games for Windows status would be most useful if any of the links worked http://www.microsoft...verstatus.aspx. I'm getting error code 0x8015000a and Flight just goes to offline mode.

I was working fine the other day. Now Ctrl Q will not move it back into the cockpit. I was moving it left and right and back behind one of the engines on the C-46 when last I quit the game. Yes I know it moves slowly but no matter how long I hold the keys nothing happens. I did not mess with any files. probably something simple I hope. The forward view works fine but won't move.

Location is in the description. Not sure if I have this one or not. If not, and I collect it, that will finish Hawaii for me as I was missing two not counting Curvature of the Earth. Enjoy.

Have you ever tried opening the door while flying? I have. Today I was in the RV-6 in Flight. I was cruising at 5000 feet level with no hands on the Joystick and I accidentally opened the door. The next second, I noticed that I was descending at 2000 ft/minute. I works in the Icon too. I haven't tried the others, but I'll get back after I'm done testing.

I took 4 people to this airstrip in the C-46 in the dark of night.. I don't know why anyone would want to go there. There was nothing and I mean nothing there. Not even a airstrip that I ever saw. I just landed near the marker and it was recorded. I had to taxie around some water hazzards to unload the passengers some .6 miles away. This flat tundra strip is on the north coast, east of Deadhorse. Glad to get out of there.

Answering yet another plaintive query as to why all the WW2 cockpit-less aircraft; stone MSFlight replied: The problem with new aircraft is that someone usually owns the rights to the aircraft, and that someone usually wants large amounts of money if someone else wants to use the aircraft likeness and make money off it. We actually had a couple very popular aircraft almost completely finished, but we had to shelve them due to licensing problems. It sometimes feels like Flight faced walls in every direction.

This is the first time I have come across a boat in the open sea. Dead in the water and no one one board. I made severel low passes with the C-46. She seems to have a ramp on the aft to launch small boats. I notified the Coast Guard, looks rather suspicious to me. Steve

... Airports beginning with A! I like to fly a Clandestine Job now and then. Not because I get a thrill out of carrying those goods; there is a lot of the real stuff going on where I live and I have seen the violence that accompanies it, so this does not excite me at all. But, I do like to fly really low and this gives me an excuse to do so. But, then, who needs an excuse? I found another airport with Clandestine Jobs, Akhiok, but the first time I tried one there, the cat jumped on my lap and I crashed. So, I went back and tried again. I first prepare a flight plan in Tim Arnot's Plan-G, but not over water - there is nothing to see and not much challeng…
