PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Hello All, I was wondering if anybody had a functional FSbuild performance file for the MD-11??? I looked all around the web to only find topics regarding the subject..but no actual file? (Also..maybe the NGX 600/700?) Your help is greatly appreciated!!!!! ~Aziz

Hello everyone: Recently I confused about a question......The Speed limit when at and below barometer 10000ft is 250kt for the aircraft,can this limit is permitted to modify by the pilot? I looked in the manuals and found the tables related to landing runway length, but do not see anything related to takeoff length. Are there tables in the manuals for takeoff runway length? If so, where? If not does anyone have a link to some tables for minimum runway lengths for the MD-11? Rod Storer

Could someone be so kind as to point me in the proper direction? I want to learn how to take the livery textures, as posted in the forums, and make executable files, as provided by PMDG. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, really quick question here: I remember there used to be issues (at least for me) when I would instal the older PMDG 737 after installing the PMDG 747. Same with installing the 744 after installing the MD-11, which essentially led me to believe there were some possible issues with installing PMDG products "out of order", or in laimens terms, not in the order they were released in. I'm not sure if anyone else has ever encountered such problems in the past, but I want to re-install my PMDG MD-11 but I also don't want to instal files that will damage or corrupt my PMDG NGX in the process - has anyone encountered any issues installing the MD-11 after installing t…

I notice that many switches ( ex Emergency Power,Emergency Light ) indicate an OFF,ON and ARMED position. What does ARMED indicate as it seems to me a switch can only be on or off. Thanks HUbert Werni

I have two strange problems. The first one is that In case of an engine fire i get no warning what so ever on the flightdeck. When i look outside i see fire and smoke coming out of the engine. Also i can't use the fire distinguisher as nothing pups up. I can only use fuel cutoff to stop the engine but the fire remains. Then the second problem and that is the RTO. Although the auto brakes are set on RTO and the spoilers are armed, when i want to abort the take off and pull back the throttles to idle the autobrakes do nothing and also the spoilers are not deployed. The autobrakes do work after a normal landing. Any one else with this problem and purhaps a solutio…

Hi captains, I have been flying the MD11 exclusively for the past 2 months, attempting to fly according to real world SOP as closely as possible. When making chnages to a flight plan such as changing runways, I find that both the old and new stays in the Flight Plan page. Yesterday, I changed runways at KLAS and founmd both set of fixes displayed leaving a small mess. How is this managed? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, I have recently purchased the MD-11 and I can say it is one stunning aircraft to fly. I have been using online fuel planning websites such as http://fuel.aerotexas.com/ to calculate my load fuel which I have then entered into the load manager to get the weight information. However, the thing that annoys me with these websites is you can't input your cargo weights. For example, I could be loading the aircraft with full cargo where the website gives me fuel calculations for 33% cargo; would my trip fuel be the same irrelevant of the cargo? Hey Guys,I've gotten back into the MD-11 lately and have been flying it a lot. It got my wondering that with all the types of fuel saving going, would it be logical to leave engine 2 idle during taxi or even turned off. I guess when the MD-11 was very active with the passenger model in airlines during the 90's saving fuel wasn't the biggest concern, but these days would it happen? Would a certain airline decide to leave it at idle (probably not turned off).

I'm cruising at an altitude of Flight Level 310 and a speed of 290 knots given by the fms this can't be right as the speed should be 400+ knots.Any help thanks.Ive looked on plane finder via app for ipod touch and seen md-11's cruising at a speed of 450 knots. Please Help! Thanks

Hi there, I have been using this add on for years, today I decided to add some of ther other Lufthansa Cargo liverys to FSX (about 4 of them) I did this but only two showed up... So I unistalled them and now all I can see are the two default PMDG house colour MD-11's nothing I do seems to fix this... Hi,I have been reading the PMDG MD-11 Advanced tutorial in readiness for participating in Vatsim's Cross the Pond event tomorrow. In the tutorial PDF it states that I should turn on ignition A because it is an even numbered flight. What is the significance of this even numbered flight? Does that mean ignition B is required for an odd numbered flight, and what would that be. I am rather confused.Please somebody tell me what this means.Many thanks in advanceMatthew

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with the MD-11 and other aircraft. If I am flying a complex aircraft and have a lot of the instrumentation in view, and I select a drop-down menu in the full-screen mode, I often receive a CTD. Any help towards this issue would be greatly appreciated.

when i go into the menu in fsx and i choose deflected ailerons and i hit ok it does not work neither does my cockpit configuration they both don't save how can i make this work?

Hello!First I would like to thank the wonderful PMDG devs for the excellent MD-11. I have been a huge Tri-Jet fan and this is excellent! I have had an issue on the last 2 flights while learning the sim and can't figure out how to fix the issue.I accidentally dialed in an altitude lower than cruise and the aircraft went into descent mode on one flight, the other I pulled the alt hold knob on the MCP and the FMS locked me out of the CRZ altitudes displaying --- / --- instead of [ ] / ---. Every time I attempted to enter an altitude I was given the NOT ALLOWED statement. The aircraft began thrust reductions to 290 and was still displaying the cruise altitudes in the F-PLA…

I can't believe I waited so long to get ths one. My tax return was kind to me this year, so it worked out.Anyway, before I dive into the books and get real in depth with her. I usually like to take my new planes for a few touch and gos, low approaches, instrument approaches, etc. So far, I haven't been able to do this successfully, because I haven't figured out how to put the plane into complete manual control. No thrust limiters, no low thrust protections, nothing. Kind of like when you take a car for a test drive, you don't put on cruise control. So, how can I turn all that stuff off?Thank you,Jeff
