PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

After re-installing the MD11 it completely screwed up yhe entire fsx root. Missing folders, lost every addon scenery, CTD on startup. As a new MD-11 flier, I just can't get enough of this bird!I have been looking at a few videos in You Tube of landings, etc...one thing that I truly like in the MD11 is the cockpit "shake" on landing...however, in all the landings I have done, mine doesnt do that, it is stock standard (I only fly with the VC by the way...)Is there a setting I need to enable?many thanks in advance

Is it possbile to replace the landing lights ? I am talking about the animation seen on the fuselage (not the ligths on the runway). The light aura is not solid but is broken by an invisible square. I so wish I could replace that...While I am on the landing lights....why do the landing lights up/down commands swivel the lights sideways - not up-down like on other aircraft.I suspect some of these issues are FSX-related but this is so..so..so.. annoying.Sorry for ranting folks. I am otherwise thoroughly enjoying the MD and the NGX in FSX.

Everytime I load the cold & dark cockpit I keep on having an issue with the main door...Even when the main door is closed after b4 starting the engine...on the ecam it's written main door open during the entire flight... this issue only happens when I start in cold & dark cockpit..

I see the cockpit graphic quality of PDMG 737NGX, and I have a question. PDMG take plans to update MD-11 to standard quality, graphics and systems display aka MDF menus and optios of PDMG 737? can see in the future a HUD-EFVS on MD-11 models?

Maybe there is an answer and maybe there isn't one. The attached screenshot is from a EHAM-KSEA flight, It indicates the brakes on the left have a lower temperature than those on the right. Now this plane has been airborne for almost 8 hours so anything related to the taxi and takeoff would be long gone. It has been this way for almost two years on every flight no matter what the cruise altitude is, OAT, or wind direction and speed. Dooes anyone know why? Just curious. Thank youMichael Cubine

Hi GUYS !!Recently i am having problems with all PMDG products. Aside the fact the 737 start with the tcas test on and all the flight with the test on, aside the fact i had a flickering mouse pointer in the 747 i disinsalled the 747 i installed it again and then the problem was solved then today i loaded the Md11 and the panel initialization started but the screen were all black even if i heard the sound of engines and lights were on. Hi GuysI have just reinstalled FSX as one of my drives failed. Now, whenever i start FSX, the 2D panel is always too small for the screen. You can see what i mean in the screenshot.I have never seen this problem before and its driving me nuts! :-) Everytime is start a flight i have to hope it lets me resize it. I use FSX in a maximised window mode (not full screen) if that helps.I have tried correcting the size and saving it as a defaul flight, changing my screen resolution around, switching between full screen and windowed mode, but i cant fix it! Hello,having the MS real weather, updating every 15min, I noticed some strange wind speed readings on the MCDU during the taking off phace from EDDF. Selecting the PROG page I get a wind speed reading of 297/050 and on the F-PLN page I get TAIL/007. What is wrong, I thought these numbers should be identical. Well, at least the identical. The problem (?) doesn't stop here. During cruising on the PROG is see 300/150!!! and on the F-PLN TAIL/015. Is there something that Im missing?Thank you

if anybody knows about a custom md11 throttle quadrant it would be very helpful because i try ed to build one over my old throttles and it was very hard i would really like a full scale md11 throttle. if anybody new where to get one that would be super helpful.

So I am having this problem with my MD11 when I am flying by hand with my joystick the elevators either get stuck in the up position or down position causing the plane to either dive or pull up constantly. If will never center. I have checked my joystick calibration and it is fine. It does not do this in any other plane besides the MD11. I have tried re installing the MD-11 and it still does it. Anybody got any ideas as to what might cause this?

I cannot release my parking brake on my MD-11 once set. Once i set my parking brake or my flight starts with the parking brake set, i can't release it. It will not recognize CTR+(.) OR (.) nor can i move it with the mouse. The curser does not change to a hand when passing over the lever and remain's an arrow. Also it will not release when applying my brakes with my CH Pedals.I don't have this problem with my PMDG 747X or 737NGX, however it will not release by applying my pedal brakes on those a/c either.I have all of my controllers set up with FSUIPC and seem to remember loosing parking brake release when applying the brakes with my rudder pedals after doing this, but th…

On other PMDG aircraft, I am able to open these two windows up and move them to another monitor. It seems to be either or, only one of the displays can be enlarged and moved at a time.Is this true or is there another method to display both windows simultaneuosly?

Before take off the spoiler has to be armed in order to get the Green Tape.When I cruise I put them into disarmed position ( DET )Now I find that in order to autoland it is not sufficient to just arm them again becauselanding like this would not deploy spoilers on touchdown.I have to deploy them for a few seconds,then arm them again and now thesystem works. ( Spoiler deploys upon landing )I would be curious to know if other people have the same issue or is it just me,meaningthat there is a bug somewhere.Antonio Vernas

Guys, I need a performance file for the MD-11F to use in FS Build, does one such exist? It's not on FS Builds website or forum. I cannot find one and I hope there is one out there!

In the past few months I did a lot of flights using autoland and never had a problem.But today all of a sudden the autopilot disconnects without any reason.( I touch nothing,the flying is smooth,no turbulence )It sometimes happens when cruising,sometimes on approach )I wonder if anybody else had similar problems and how can it be corrected ?Anything in the config files ?I will try to delete and reload the MD-11 to see if this helps.Hubert Werner

I fly to an airport ( LSGG to be precise ) using an autoland.Prior to landing everything seemsto be configured correctly ( spoiler armed,autobrake on ) since I get the green tape andthe green Dual Land indication.Now I execute a GoAround,setting flaps to 28 and remain in the Holding Pattern.I edited theflightplan allowing me to return to the airport.After exiting the HOLD I fly back,set APPRLAND and prepare to land.To my surprise there were two problems:1) No green tape appears.The green DUAL Land appears2) Upon landing the spoiler did not deploy.( even when trying with my keyboard command nothing happened.) HI, I am considering buying this airplane and I am wondering if the VC has cockpit reflections on the glass when looking out the windows. It is hard to tell on the videos I have watched.

For anyone that owns AES. I wish to buy AES but does it work simulating the Freighter version of this aircraft. Like main deck loaders and cargo boxes etc. Or is it only going to simulate PAX stuff around the outside?Thanks!

Hi everyone,Well, I just purchased the MD11 for FSX, but found out after the fact that reflective VC glass was left out in the FSX model due to performance issues. I didn't notice this stated this on the products page and wish it was. Is there anywhere this can be obtained now that the MD11 has been out for some time? Hello! Sorry of this has been raised before. I simply can't find the topic after days of searching. When in flight I.e cruise flight or descending etc with the autopilot engaged, the yoke seems to moves very fast and "crazily". Is there anyway to stop this from happening? Give it more fluid movements??Kind regardsChris Blythe
