    With FS2crew, I just had a short flight from EHAM to EIDW,(martinair CF). Everything was okay. I set to FMS speed at about 2000ft, it was 157. Green box checked, dual land on PFD. At 500, I turned off AP from Yoke. Flare at 30ft, cut throttle and reverse, I had set autobrake to min, and when touchdown, I also apply manual brake. But it seemed was too heavy, too fast and I ended up breaching a fence in the edge of runway 16. I know I mustve been missing something.. If the real md 11 issue is simulated by pmdg, wow... This is the first for me, I had no problems when not using autobrake instead.Please enlighten me. Thank youG'd day

    Hello;Today I flew to Trondheim(ENVA),in the MD-11,ILS landing,runway 9,everything went well,except for the plane landing on the right side of the center line,wonder if any one else has seen this.I use Navigraph data,and the airport is an add-on scenery.Running Fsx Acc,64 bit,Windows 7,12 g bits of ram.The nav data is the latest cycle out.Thanks;Mark

    on the wing the things under the wing that control the flaps are different on some aircraft. PMDG simulates the ones the do not come out from under the wing but there are some that do why is this? watch at 0:49 under the wing only some MD-11s have this.

    So I have several problems/points of ignorance1. I still have not figured out the heading system. I know you can tell it which way to turn by turning the heading knob in a certain direction. It turns my aircraft in the oposite direction every time I engauge it on departure even though after taking the runway I set it to runway heading and pull. The the controller said fly heading 265 after departure, so I set it to 265, taking of on runway 28l at SFO and pulled it, then took off, then engauged heading mode and the aircraft turn right! It should have turned left because that is the direction I rotated the knob.2. Also having not flown this aircraft for months (been in the …

    Hi allAfter takeoff from KAFW my ATS doesn't want to increase speed past 190kts so I can't get to slat-retract speed or beyond. I'd like to accel to 250 and I have entered that into the flight plan beginning at TTT. But as it crosses TTT (and the next waypoints) the ATS ignores the waypoint speed and stays slow.In the pic attached, you can see I'm in ATS mode, profile mode and FMS-NAV mode. The aircraft is fully auto at this time as far as I can tell. For whatever reason I just don't get the VOR approaches with the MD-11.( I have no problems with ILS approaches )Is it possible to set up a VOR in such a way that the autopilot flies towards andover the VOR without any input from the captain ?     When I fly a VOR approach I notice an option "VOR arm" on NavRadio ( LSK2L ) after Ienter the VOR frequency on LSK1L.What is the purpose of this "VOR arm" and what does it do ?     Bought the md-11 in august last year. Have had countless flights in it with out any problems. Then I left it in the "hangar" for a couple of weeks and was about to make a flight today.I loaded the panel and it was dark and frozen with yoke stuck in full left position. I searched the forums for that one, and found that i had to save a config in the load manager.I did that, and now it crashes every time I load the flight, either from the free flight menu or even after ive loaded a cessna and try to switch over.I have the UIAutomationcore.dll vista type in the FSX main folder.I recently bought and installed EZdock and some scenery addons as well as the Simcheck A300.I search…

  13. I am using FS9.1. OS-Windows XPI have reinstalled the PMDG MD-11 several times and still have electrical problems..When I load the flight using the MD-11F everything works correctly. I can even switch panel states and it works But when using the passenger version the panel has no electrical power at all. I cannot even switch the panel state and get power. I have even tried to power up manually with no luck.When I purchased the plane it worked good with both versions. Not sure what has happened. Anyone have any ideas?Thanks.jmike46

    Well, I have been flying the MD11 on very short legs especially when compared to the aircraft's Range. So Fuel Calculation is not hard. However I would like too see some exotics areas and what better way to do it than crossing the pacific or whatever in an MD11. I have the aircraft, I know how to fly it, I can calculate Take Off perf, but one problem, I dont know how to accurately come up with a BLOCK FUEL for my desired route. I am aware that oficially (apart from Boeing) nobody has any perf data for the big bird. However I was just wondering what you fellow MD11 pilots do to calculate your desired BLOCK FUEL.     I flew into Quito yesterday performing the RNP 17 approach. Unfortunately i was too fast and high so performed a go around.Although the autopilot flew the procedure ok, the vertical profile ceased to work.Once we were in the holding pattern, i re entered departure and destination, entered the STAR etc and was ready to go.I exited the hold and autopilot showed in magenta V/S but would not allow me to change it. As a result i missed the first 2 altitude restrictions before i took direct control of the vertical speed and continued the approach.Is this normal after performing the Go Around procedure?

    I've got all of the FSX volume settings at 50, as recommended by PMDG, but I am completely unable to hear the engines at all.the noise of the packs and electrical systems seem to drown out the engine sounds.I have the master volume set correctly, as the voices from Radar Contact and the other cockpit sounds are at a suitable level.I've watched a few videos on YouTube, and you can definitely hear the engines when they are increased to takeoff thrust.Is there any way to increase the volume of the engines, without touching any of the FSX volume settings (as this would then affect other aircraft whose volume levels are OK.)Thanks

    With the announcement of all the upcoming projects I understand that PMDG have there hands full. I don't expect PMDG to announce any further updates on the MD11 as this may lead to a stream of posts requesting updates/release dates etc. Below I have listed some of the problems I have found with the aircraft, of course they are very very minor considering the complexity of the machine however since they are problems that seem to be relatively easy to fix is their any reason why PMDG would not want to release a unannounced fix?     I am flying the md 11 for over one year now and the last month i am haven a problem. Not all the time but now and then.I am on autoflight, the plane is following the fmc flight plan but at some waypoints, for example the plane have to make a left turn, it continues straigt ahaed, or even a right turn. When i switch to hdg select to correct it the plane doenst respond to the commands. Only after disconnect auto pilot en manualy stering the plane responds.When i am back on course i activate autoflght and then it's ok.Any ideas of what is going on ?ThanksPeter

    Does anyone know why whenever I input a block fuel value, it calculates my trip fuel, reserve, and final, but leaves the alternate and extra time lines blank?It worked fine for me when I flew a flight between LAX and SFO earlier today. I'm trying a longer haul between SFO and ANC and now it's not giving me any values.

  22. Hello,evertime i have a crash or a colission with the FS9 MD-11, the aircraft is starting again, but with at least 4 Windows/Parts of the panel (unfortunately no View).     Hello guys,I have two questions and hope I can get some help.(1) As of yesterday I started experiencing something strange. Everytime I want to fly the MD-11, I select an a/c; however, after FSX finishes initializing the systems, the a/c PFD windows screens remians with all 3 green Xs and nothing loads. I uninstalled and re-installed twice but same issue happens.(2) Is there a way to install all liveries at once instead of one by one from the CD?Thanks,Johnny Gonzalez

    Hi there.Happy newyear :-)Just bought/installed MD11 on FSX. I noticed that the domelight is out when the engines are off. As soon as the engines comes alives, the cockpit lights up fine. Tried to do some searching on the problem, only to find that other have experienced the same, but all thread ends blind. Can anyone either confirm that this is a bug, or can anyone confirm that they do not have this light behavior?Best RegardsBjarne Sorensen
