Hello. I’m new on the forums and trying to learn as much as I can about the beautiful MD-11 aircraft. I’ve seen earlier topics that have run their course, so I thought I’d ask myself.

Does anyone have a complete set of the pilot manuals & checklist for this aircraft that they are not using anymore? What about the MD-11X paintkit? Looking for that as well! I appreciate any assistance I can find! 😁

I had re-install PMDG MD11 on FSX. Last re-install was about two years ago. Now I get an error message---Modules\LVLD. dll. When I try to use the PMDG MD11, FSX crashes. I think I remember this error has something to do with FONTS. But I do not remember exactly how. This is second air[lane I have had to re-install and it still does not work. To be honest I am at a point where I really do not want to bothered with error messages. I am thinking about giving up FSX for good. Can anybody help with the Modules

PMDG MD11 ILS Alignment

I haven't found this anywhere else so I will try here.

I recently flew into an ILS approach into KORD to 28C. Throughout the approach the autopilot had the localizer locked on but the bug showed half dot to the right. At about 3 miles out and with the runway visible out the front window I could if I continued I was going to land in the grass to the left side of 28C. So I disconnected the autopilot and hand-flew the rest of the approach. The only thing that was unusual was the wind was from 330/18G25. I have many hours in the PMDG MD11 and had not seen this before, Does the MD11 fly autoland approaches offset like this if there is a strong crosswind?

Load Manager problem with FSX-SE

I have a little problem with the MD-11's load manager where it doesn't allow me to "Send to FSX", only save to file or close. It does show "Flight Simulator Status: connected" however. This is with FSX Steam Edition.

Anyone know what causes this/how to fix?

if anyone is interested I would offer to sell the printed manuals for the MD-11 that PMDG used to sell a long time ago. They are in perfect condition. Due to the weight I would think that shipping is only affordable domestic in the USA, but then again overseas shipping could be checked, too.

hi guys, im new to this forum, so if there is anything im doing wrong i do apologize in advance.
its been months that im dealing with this issue on pmdg MD-11 while flying online in IVAO. some stations are set via frequencies that are impossible to set on my radio panel here is an example :

Bucharest Center

134.38

LRBB_CTR

The frequency 134.38 is not possible to set on my VHF radio panel. The frequencies like 134.375 and 134.340 are the nearest frequencies before and after 134.38 respectively that i can tune to.
i also found a forum about the similar issue on PMDG 777 but it was not the exactly same as mine.

. I should also mention this fact that, i am not even able to tune to the station via IVAP client either since the frequency on my radio panel is set something else. when i try to switch to the frequency via IVAP > ACARS page , it goes back to the frequency that has been set before.

MD11 Installation Failure

I have been trying to reinstall MD11 software for about two weeks now and it fails every time. I wouldn't need this so much but after my hard drive failed this is one of the last items to deal with. Emails from the factory tells me there is a problem on their end but how long can it take? I paid good money for this airplane and I like it a lot. Surely there is someone at PMDG that has the ability to fox this problem.

Hello,

I've recently started experiencing a problem where the MD-11 stays offset from the NAV path to the right. I looked up the issue here and as per all the other suggestions ran Flight1's Registry Repair Tool, which should fix the issue. I flew a long haul from Frankfurt to Los Angeles - for the first 2 hours of the flight, the aircraft was perfectly on course. Through the polar and second half of the flight, though, it started to deviate off center to the right. Keep in mind, this was after I ran the Registry Repair Tool. Another thing I noticed is that it tended to first turn right despite a left turn on the NAV path and then correct itself - but it still ended up off center after these turns. One change I did make, however, was to replace the default FSX magdec.bgl with a new one suggested by Steve's DX10 Fixer after starting to use FSX in DX10 preview. I'm not sure if putting the original magdec.bgl would help, because all my other PMDG aircraft (747 v3, 777 and NGX) fly their LNAV paths perfectly.

Hi to all, Iv got the MD-11 working on FSX-SE but its not allowing mt to install the SP1 or SP2 for the MD-11 which has many bug fixes and more as anyone that flies this beauty knows what they do, Iv tried to SDK Core utilities LegacyInterfaces etc but its still not allowing me to install SP1 or SP2 for the MD-11. Any help with this i'd be very grateful. Thanks

I know that most of you are eagerly awaiting the NGX and 777 being made compatible with FSX-Steam, but FWIW, the MD-11 DOES work on FSX-SE, at least when installed into a clean SE-only system.

The installation proceeded with no glitches or errors. The only reason that I put the proviso "appears" (to work) is because I have not actually flown it yet, but it loaded on the first run post-install with no issues, and all systems appear to be fully functional. I just updated the Nav Data with the current Navigraph cycle, and installed the FedEx freighter livery from the PMDG web site, and so far, so good.

I've been at my computer for hours installing and configuring add-on scenery and airports, so will put off the first test flight until later today - but it certainly appears that I will at least have a PMDG long-haul aircraft to use in FSX-SE, until the newer titles can be modified to work.

I'm assuming that the 747-400 will install as well on an SE-only system.

My apologies if this is already "old news".

I have an opportunity to purchase a used boxed version of MD-11. I think the keycode was entered and the product was activated at least once. What is PMDG's policy on multiple activations on different computers? Will it do any harm (license violations, etc.) on my existing installations of Boeings and Operations centre if I activate that MD-11 on my machine? Thank you in advance.

Gauges not showing up

It has been awhile since I last had a problem and now it seems I have a new one. The gauges for my MD11's are not showing when I start up FSX and go to use the MD11. Thank you in advance for any and all answers.
