Hi,I am a newbies to PMDG. My question is: Why i started the 737 (All models) in a cold and dark cockpit and move the joystick, the controls (like rudder, elevator, aileron) moves as well. All those control should only works after power and hydraulics is on?Rgds,Thomas

Hello all! I'm rewriting some SIDS for Italy and got to Rome Fiumicino which is driving me crazy... The airport has 8 runways 16L/C/R, 34L/C/R, 7 and 25. Problem is the SIDS have all the same name there's ana initial part of the procedure which depends from the runway and a common part... so if I write a SID ELB5A RNW 25 i will have the same SID name later on in the file for the other runways (not all but most). My problem is that it seems that even if the FMC recognizes that there are SIDS with the same name for different runways, when i click on the LSK corresponding to the SID the FMC loads the first SID it encounters with that name in the file.... problem is it is usu…

Can someone verify that the Continental livery for the 800 includes a lighting texture for the port side (left)?I discovered a strange behavior with (1) no window lighting at night on the left (port) side only, and (2), bizzare lighting under moonlight where that side is very bright (almost white) compared to the rest. Looks fine in the daytime.Only does this for this particular livery for the 800.:)

Has anyone installed this gauge(atngau11.zip) successfully in the 737NG? If so, can you post the relevant parts from your panel.cfg file, please?I've tried with several aircraft(not the PMDG), but FS9 says it can't load the gauge atn.gau and forces me to abort the program :-((it is in the Gauges folder, where it's supposed to be).More than likely, I'm doing something wrong, since I find installing gauges a very hit and miss affair. How does one decide which Star to use for arrival. I'm finding this portion of flight planning a bit difficult to get my head round.I can put a runway in the FMC for an arrival but am a bit miffed as how to select the correct Star from the many available for a particular runway.A little help would be much appreciated. I was thinking this morning that since I have been flying the PMDG 737, I have done quite well in flying this aircraft. Hand flying ILS approaches with low ceilings are pretty easy for me at this point and it has been quite a while simce I have had any type of accident. Then I remembered the "Failure Mode" in the PMDG menu,, and I realized that I don't have anything set to fail in that menu. Obviously this would generate some suspence in flying the 737, but I am wondering what types of failures and what frequency would generate a fairly realistic failure rate on the PMDG. Any suggestions from people that have the failure mode turned on as to what you use, and find realist…

Yesterday I purchased the B1900D and ran the install routine for it. It seems to have completely over-written the PMDG folder in my FS9 directory. I no longer had any of the 737NG folders under the PMDG directory. Only the B1900D Express, PMDG Express, and an ICON folder. All my flightplans (and the folder) disappeared, the SIDSTARS folder was gone, and the main PMDG folder is missing a bunch of INI files from before. I manually created a new 737NG folder and can re-add the manuals that were there. I also…

Hello AllIusually start my 737NG 800 with engines running. Still not confident that I can master a'cold and dark' start. Anyway, in about 50% of cases, I find that the A/T will not arm. Instead, one of the three warning lights "AT first" glows a steady red. I cannot work out the cause of this. Any advice much appreciated.ThanksSimonps. Wonder if anyone can help with a really daft problem. I need to delete key command 'U' from the list. Each time I do, it comes back. I've tried to change the assignment to another letter combination, but again it reverts to 'U'. I've changed most of the other assignments with no prob but this has me scratching mi' headsBud

Hi all,First of all, a little background info.The way I set up my flight with PMDG (the only one I fly actually - it's so good) is that I have number of saved flights in a cold&dark configuration with different airlines at different airport locations. Looking at the ATI website the latest card X800 is supposed to have twice the performance of the 9800 Pro I'm using.While I wouldn't expect to see twice the framerates, I'm wondering if anybody's gotten one of these cards and used it with the PMDG?

I own 737 600/700 and 800/900. I purchased 1900D on 9/28 and cannot find a tutorial for it like the 737. Please help.

I've heard of the many improvements made to the 737NG series with the upgrade that includes the -800 and -900 aircraft. I am however wondering if PMDG has any updates planned for the -6/700 aircraft alone, which provide the same functionality as the -800/900 release.Thanks, Evan Levesque

Hi,For everyone with an ATI X800 Pro card (and maybe other cards as well) I found out an amazing thing tonight!!When increasing the Anti-Aliasing from 2X -> 4X and the Anisotropic Filtering from 8X -> 16X both the actual FPS value and the overall smoothness in FS9 increased in a way I never seen before using any other tweaks to get the most out of the sim. I still have trouble beliving this myself, I truely find it amazing how increasing the graphical quality could actually increase the FPS and smoothness in the sim at the same time. And again, both the graphical quality increasement as well as the FPS and smoothness increasement are HUGE!!!Below you will find two s…

I have got the AIRAC 0409 (latest) as well as the lastest AIO SID/STARS files from navdata.com. But when I download the official release of the SID/STARS from the PMDG website it says the latest release for SID/STARS is for 0408. I need all my data to be in sync, so I would need the latest AIO and official packages of the SID/STARS as well as the latest AIRAC cycle. But as you can see, if I were to have AIRAC 0409 with SID/STARS 0408 It wouldn't be so in-sync would it?!?!Rgds,Brandon Glass
