The FMC appears to be in LBS. Is it possible to set it to accept ZFW etc. in KGS ? I can't find any reference to how to set this.Regards,Stuart Hyett

Hello fellow simmers, I am pondering the possibility that the veering I often experience when taking off is not due to winds but to a bug.Has anyone experienced a similar problem?RegardsPaul

I'm very happy with the PMDG 737, I've flown it a lot in the past four months and I think that is at the moment the most impressive fs9 add-on.I just wonder if is there any chance to complete the overhead panel with the rearmost section (the one with the IRS...OK, I know that this could be implemented..., the flaps/slats test lights, the crew oxygen gauge and so on). A nice picture that depicts the whole complete overhead panel could be this one:http://www.airliners.net/open.file/501338/L/Just a question, it would complete (with some more "emergency" situations) nicely this otherwise perfect product.

Please take a look at the attached file(s)....the pictures show that the main panal looks smaller than it should be and the MCP slectors in particular (the readouts in orange) look messed up.....zero's and 8's look like blocks!!! Panel looks so small that you can barely make out the letters and numbers on the EFIS Control Panel. Any suggestions?Rgds,Brandon Glass

I was viewing the MD-11 gallery on the precision manuals website and I saw the pics of the panels in particular....the buttons and FMC look so tiny!!! Is that how it'll really look when it comes out??? If you ask me the FMC on the new MD-11 should be about the same size of the FMC in the PMDG 737-NG. The buttons also on the MD-11 MCP panel look small.Rgds,Brandon Glass

Are there any plans for the future to make a freighter version of the 747-400? I'll definately be purchasing the current -400 product but I will get more use out of a freighter :)Justin

PMDGIf you are in the position, in terms of development, to do a promotional video for the 747-400 I believe you should. Everyone who has seen the LDS 767 promo video said it had thoroughly wetted there appetite. If this is not possible a couple of 2D panel screenshots wouldn't go a miss or maybe a release date.Cheers,Denis Allen

Hi PMDG, Could you tell me when or if you are planning to release the 800/900 upgrade, so i can buy it from the shop as i did with the 600/700. I do not have a credit card and i am climbing the walls here to get hold of this upgrade. Please let me know.

I know that by default the FMC tries to pick the best possible economy climb/cruise and so on...I did a flight last night from EGAA to EGFF (Belfast to Cardiff) as I am going on this very flight at the end of the month. From the flight booking departure is at 11:40 and arrival is at 12:40.I left the gate for push back at 11:38. The standard preferred route is along an airway with a FL245 limit. So I cruised at Fl240 (even though it's an easterly route, but 230 seemed a bit low to me).The FMC choose to fly at (I believe) 280 knots. It might have been 290. Setting it to LRC gave me a lower speed. I found this odd, because usually the LRC at higher alts gives a faster …

Hi,I have been flying the PMFG 737-600/700/800/900 for a while now and I think PMDG does a wonderfull job. However, I have traveled with a boeing 737-800 for quite a number of times now and I think the real aircraft sounds completely different than the simulated aircraft (except for cockpit sounds). The engines 'whine' a lot more, especially at take off and the start-up sequence also sounds completely different. I wonder why this is, as PMDG says that sounds are recorded from the real aircraft.Dirk LuchtmanThe Netherlands

Hello PMDG,First of all, I have a vacation of one week (autumn-vacation, don't know how do you call that in US) after the next four weeks. So it would be nice to fly a Wide-bodied A/C.As I also know, you normaly don't discuss release dates, but what the hack.Well here is the multiple choice question and you have to answer with one of the three options.1. Do you expect to release the B744 [LARGE]before[/size] my vacation?2. Do you expect to release the B744 [LARGE]in[/size] my vacation?3. Do you expect to release the B744 [LARGE]after[/size] my vacation?Just answer with before, in or after.Thank you, ;)

I am trying out the Active Camera addon with the 737 in demo mode at KSEA. One question I had was regarding the out-the-passenger-window view in VC cabin mode - only part of the engine nacelle is visible. I learned that apparantly this is normal when you go beyond the cabin in cabin view - the exterior of the plane is missing. I also have had much difficulty trying to go into exterior mode. Once I get into exterior view, I try to "walk" using the number keypad and the VOR at KSEA moves along the ground rather than my view itself! Also when I get the plane in view, it movews by itself like the VOR. I disconnected my CH USB yoke and pedals thinking there might be som…

I just got the 800/900 update and I was going through the pmdg styles, which I had never done before with the 600/700. I noticed that the VNAV Alt box was not ticked. I obviously ticked it now. Could it be that i was not managing to descent the plan in the proper manner using VNAV before because it was not ticked? Also, I just did a flight and I had to descend as I was approaching destination. I was on VNAV and LNAV. Because i Had to descent before t/d, I selected the altitude through the mcp and I told the fmc to descend now. It stopped at the level which I wanted it to that is FL140. Whilst still on VNAV, I then wanted to go to 8,000FT, i selected the altitude th…

Ever since I learnt how to do ADF approaches I realised they solve my biggest problem with approaches, when to turn out of base to final, without doglegging to a mile out, or overshooting the LOC.I would watch the ADF needle as it points to the ILS signal until its 5 or 10 degrees or so closing in on the ILS course, then I would turn in. If I was too soon I could just do a standard "push the head", "pull the tail" on the ADF needle to find the LOC. Doubling the offset. However, as the PMDG 737NG draws distinction between ILS's and VORs it refuses to show the ADF needle for the ILS. This leaves me with either having to use NAV2 tuned to an on field VOR or find an on fiel…

Having just purchased the 737 and update to the 800/900 series, i cannot get the base installation to work.1. It starts to run [auto install],the SETUP icon comes up in the TOOLBAR..system then starts to run and then stops. 2. I then tried the other method thru start/run and D:SETUP,click on install but again,it starts and then nothing happens. I've waited up to 30 minutes, hoping for something to happen, then gave up in frustration.:-zhelp 3.I purchased the compete package thru PC aviator [Australia] but had to wait 10 days untill [new ] stock arrived.4. I'm running XP,1.6GHz,512 MB RAM,128 graphic card,33gig free space,FS2004.Am i doing something wrong here, in regards…

Everybody talks about auto flight when it comes to the PMDG 737s. But these birds are also great for hand flying.Yesterday I programmed a flightplan into the FMC for the first time (I purchased the 737NG last week). Exept from some minor errors I made, everything went fine :-). On approach into Innsbruck (LOWI) I disconnected the AP at 4500 MSL (2600 AGL) which is the decission hight for ILS approaches to RW26 and also because the LOC is offset by 5

Recently purchased the 737NG and I'm awestruck. Tried downloading the advance tutorial but the avsim library says it's no longer there. Anyone knows where I may get it from? Thanks.

Hi PMDG Developers, testers and pilotsI enjoy flying my own hanger full of various PMDG 737's. I fly where ever my heart takes me and where ever I preferably can use ILS to land.My question is...Is there a way to save the panel, Auto Pilot and FMC status when you absolutely cannot fly anymore because your wife keeps nagging you to wash the cat (LOL) or something else (far) less worthy than flying a B737? And keep separate saves too so that you can complete a flight tomorrow and come back in two days time and complete this flight. When the flight is resumed you can just load one of the panel states and off you go.Up to now I fly and save the flight either in flight or parke…

I'm sorry if this has already been asked before. I was just wondering if the LCD refresh rate slider actually works, I mean can it really go as high as 15 frames or is there some builf-in barrier from fs9 side? I was watching a friend of mine fly it and we played around with it a little while, but we couldn't see much difference.Thanks-Mikkel

Just wondering, this question was brought up in the main FS2004 forum. Does the 737 autopilot use elevator input or rather stabilizer trim to maintain level flight? In the PMDG sim the autopilot seems to set stab trim as the aircraft will maintain a level course when the autopilot is disengaged. Thanks!

1.Although I've been simming for a number of years (1996 I think !) I've never really understood how the scenery library works in FS2002 and I've noticed some simmers recommend making different folders for different sceneries. What's the advanatge of this and how should I go about it please ?2.In my FS2002 folder I've got a folder caled 'SCENERY' (capitals) and one called 'SceneryDB' - what's this second one for ?3.if you move from area to area during a flight, does the right scenery get moved up the scenery file library list so that the one you want is at the top, and why would you want to disable a particular scenery file ?Finally 4. What's the difference between 'mes…

Well... more power to PMDG for putting out another large airliner on their schedule. I just wish it was a smaller selection. The 737 is spectacular, and I believe all the other non-express releases will be as well. I just have little use for an airliner that flies for a dozen plus hours at a time :-/Can't wait to see some full-realism regionals or 757s and smaller out of you guys!~Nate(Editors Note: Nate: I changed your title for this post due to some complaints from the owners of the site....)
