Hello,I have just bought the PMDG 800/900 package and I tried to install the upgrade for the 800/900 version and I it did NOT work. The SW is asking me to install the Base Pack (600/700) first. Due to the fact that I have all my FS9 stuff on a seperate Drive (D:) I think the upgrade does not recognize it, that the base pack is already installed.HOW can I install the 800/900 upgrade on Drive D: ???Thanks for helping me out here.Cheers,Christian

I have problems with PMDG textures in 737/600/700/800/900 which have only started in the last few days.Outside views would not put colour in at all. If I try to select a PMDG aircraft in any variation - I have noticed that some of the textures are missing - only half of body showing, no textures on wings - textures missing from engines. When I select that aircraft to fly it appears at the airport like that - missing textures?? This may only be peculiar to my machine but the only programs I have installed are FSCopilot and FS Inn( in that order as per instructions). I decided to make a new thread on this, because I think it is important for Simmers to know what they can possibly run into Beta Testing SP2. Here is my experience with SP2. I had a perfectly well running FS9 with PMDG, Active Sky, and FS Nav, plus Norton Firewall Protection for my security issues ( so I guess I really didn't need SP2) . Despite this and warnings from my PC knowledgeable friends at work ( I work for a technology company) , I decided to go ahead and install SP2 anyway, this past week while I was on vacation . WHAT A MISTAKE!!!!After I installed it, I fired up FS9 for a morning flight and the first thing I noticed taxiing out was that ATC was stuttering. …

Pardon my second request at getting answers to some questions.....I have searched everywhere for the answer to my questions, and I hope some one will help me out. I posted yesterday but no luck-guess I am a bit anxious and hope the second time is the charm. I will simplify my questions too. 1. Regarding VNAV, for a published STAR with waypoint altitude and airspeed constraints, must I modify the LEGS page and manually place the constraints or does the FMC "know" the restrictions?2. OR do we enter the STAR, rwy, transition, path/speed descent type, and the FMC flies it after we lower the altitude in the MCP to appropriate alts?There, thats all I need to know. I seem to kee…

First off, the new 800/900 is splendid!Now, is there a way to disable the sound when trimming up/down?Also, everytime I hit fly now, will the Updating/Uploading AIRAC database (in FS, the red outlined PMDG box) do that everytime!Thanks again, and lovely product!

Asking for Help - When i am on the FMC 'RTE' Screen i type the IACO code of the airport i am departing from (in this case EGLL - (Heathrow)) and click the LSK 1L button (to input this airport into 'origin' and after a few seconds it says 'Not in Database' on the scratchpad. I have all the correct SIDSTARS etc; and this happens on any airport i try to set as origin. Help please __ Alex Hnapikos

I have 3 simple questions about the PMDG B1900 in FS9: 1) On initial takeoff, gear up, flaps up- when prop RPM is reduced to climb, does the torque increase? 2) On the ground, engines at idle, props full forward, OAT 95 deg F (35*C), ITT at the lower part of red- if you bring the power levers up a little and increase engine rpm, does ITT drop? 3) On initial approach you lower approach flaps- does the nose definitely try to come up? thanks, lr.

hello folks out there im wondering whst hsppen to the lighting, im trying to prepare for takeoff at night, and the lighting is bad in the cockpit, i cannot see which buttons to push, there is not enough light to see what im doing, is there a way to turn on the bright lights to see what im doing .thanks......................Robert

I just installed Radar Contact and initally I am not too impressed with it for the price.1. It does not allow you to turn on Progressive taxi, which can be a real problem in some of the larger airports. 2. Doesn't seem to see where you plane is as far as position or referenced to AI traffic. 3. Some of the contoller talk sounds like Robbie the Robot4. Weather info didn't agree with Active Sky weather5. Couldn't use keyboard anymore to program numbers in FMC, cause Radar contact uses keyboard number input. Am I correct on this, cause if I am, I may have a half priced, hardly used version for sale on Ebay :).

Whenever i try to trim the plane manually the elevators trim a bit and immidiately return to center.This happens both on ground and in the air, making the plane very difficult to hand fly.... anyone have a solution to this? RgdsKevin

I've managed to put a route into the fmc which it seems to accept, i happily takeoff and fly away enroute but there seem to be points where for no apparent reason (sometimes i'm over a waypoint as per the fmc but no change of flight level is showing in the fmc) the a/p drops out and the plane goes into a nosedive which requires obviously immediate intervention by myself.this is probably something i'm doing wrong because i've flown several different routes to different airports and it seems to keep happening to me - mostly when it's been on a/p for a while or i've been switching views a lot (although i definitely haven't accidentally clicked off the a/p) or even if i've ju…

I can't change the decision height or adjust any of the controls in the top row of the EFIS panel.I have the upgraded version of 737-NG that has the 800/900's added. I installed the software last week.I didn't see any entries in the forum that seem to relate to this.I'm new to this product, but I have been able to follow the check list and fly the aircraft two or three times. And all of the other knobs and switches on the main panel seem to work. I havent' gotten into the FMC at all and I'm thinking that I wouldn't have to set up my flight in the FMC in order to set the decision height on the EFIS panel! Or would I? I will be learning to use the FMC, but presently I'…

Does anyone find the movement of the bank angle indicator on the PFD counter-intuitive? When the plane banks right, the BAI goes left, and vice versa. I presume there is a good reason for this implementation?(Note: Bill Bulfer has seen fit to comment on it(Pitch 'n' Power page in the 737 Profiles), so I guess it can be problematic).BR,Frank

:-( I've just upgraded to 737 800/900 and at the same time upgraded my PC to Athlon 2800+ 1.00gb of RAM and a GeForce 5200 graphic card.I was expecting my Frame Rate to fly off the screen. Not so. It's ok in the air, but when using Heathrow Pro and VFR Photographic scenery (East& South East England only) frame rate is as low as 2 frps. Settings in FS2004 are set to around high. Am I expecting too much of my system? A jerky take off using add on scenery was not what I expected. I have to say that using FS airports does not cause any problems. Your advice would be much appreciated. Marty

Ok, another Fuel planner question.. I'm using the 737NG fuel planner, 737-800 selected. I plan a trip from KPIT to KATL, enroute dist almost 500miles (as selected in fuel planner), cruise alt, FL350extra dist to alt: 200headwind: 20payload 44,290 (as read from flight sim)and it gives me an enroute fuel burn of 6,733lbs. (plus additional for alt airport, taxi, and minimum landing)I use FS ACARS, and have the actual fuel usage from lift off to landing. It is over 9,000lbs. My headwind was accurate for the majority of the flight. I use FMC, and fly at the optimum alt. for efficiency, no holds, or unusual routing. I have found this to be fairly consistant with all of th…

Is there a way to get the cabin doors to open when in the virtual cabin, when I hit the door key the doors open from the outside view but not in the VC.
