PMDG General Forum

When flew the 767-400 Sim and now in PMDG 737, there is flap setting of 1 degree. It would seem to me that this very small amount of flap, would have vey little effect on the stall speed and drag of the wing. What is the purpose of such a small flap setting?

Hi,I've been using 737 (600/700 and 800/900) for some time now. Recently I discovered the thrill of flying online with voice ATC and other pilots. However, the only problem I have is that I cannot locate the TFC switch on EFIS MCP. I looked for it in the manual that came with the plane and on the PMDG website but no luck. Any help will be greatly appreciated as I cannot use TCAS while flying.Szymon Dembowy /N737AN/

Whether realistic or not, I think it would be advantageous to allow for importing of MS flight plans, as best as possible, into the FMC.Waldo

i am using pmdg with the fmc and i set up the fmc to fly from prestwick to stansteadwhich when i take off, controls the plane fine untill the ATC tells me to turn a different heading for the approach.how do i choose the approach on the FMC so it flys me in on the approach and lines me up for the runway?if i turn the heading atc wants then when i push lnav again it says not on intercept heading. and won't ingage,

Hello to all!I'm new to the forum, but have been flying the 737 for some time now, and am looking forward to the release of the 747 with baited breath...I just have one question about the 737 though...when I load the plane in FS, the AIRAC database has to rebuild every time I load the plane...is this normal? I thought that any new AIRAC cycle would amend a central file which would be loaded on plane selection, instead of FS having to load the entire AIRAC cycle again...I don't know of any other addon that does this. Can anyone offer some advice??Many thanks,ace2029

Hi all, does the FMC in the 800 and 900 series have the ability to reset itself during flight, meaning: would I be able to start a climb altough an active descent mode has already been initiated?if not is there any hope it would be taken care of in a future 737 update, and how about the 747, will it have this feature implemented?Thanks for your time,Dave

For anyone who would know for certain, no guess please.Does the 737NG's spoiler/speed brake slow the plane significantly more than what is modeled on the PMDG a/c? I ask because I can not get the a/c to perform a -1800FPM decent without busting speed limits!Thanks,Eric

Hi all,I must be doing something reeeely stupid here. When taking off the AT keeps pulling the N1 back to about 34% once Im climbing out. It is getting annoying. I am using the PMDG 737-7DT RAAF. I did a forum search but cant locate anything on a similar line.I am inputting data into FMC and getting that all set up, then once on the Dep threshold I arm the AT, increase N1 to 40%, press TO/GA, follow the power up with the throttles, then once in a climb I activate the LNAV and then VNAV and almost immediately the N1 slows to 34%ish. I cant get the N1 back up unless I disarm the AP and AT and go completely manual.Can someone point out my fault please.Sean H

Latley I have been flying with the PMDG 737-600 but when descending and coming down am always at a high altitude for the landing..is there soethingI can do to stop this?Thank youChad Moore

Hi PMDG Team,I've just purchased the 737ng about 2-3 weeks ago and yesterday bought a new PC as my old one simply quit on me.Now on my old HD I had the registration/bill from the original purchase but I was unable to recover that after my system crash.Is there any way I can chat/email with support to proof my identity?I just can't wait to fly the NG on my new system. Hello,Strange,if I use the vspeed with auto-throttle to descent the descent folow-up the speed like Its using the 'lvl chg' option? I mean: when I like to descent 2100ft per minute it won't go alway's on 2100ft per minute but less, because its looking to the speed what he wants to maintain. So what ever I like to descent it alway's goes the speed wich I set in the auto throttle....like the level change option???If I tell the plane to descent 2100ft per minute it must go down 2100ft a minute and not less or more?What do I wrong?IVAO/KLM556

For the first time after several months of usage of my PMDG 600-900 series, I experienced CTD when loading any of them. The sequence is as follows:- Load FS9 with default Cessna- Select PMDG 737 (any model)- The navdata loads- Black screen- crash...All my other add-ons work flawlessly, I have not touched or changed anything at all to the PMDG files.I have done a search and found two similar topics, tried Anthony's suggestion, to no avail. Any help would be appreciated please.Many thanks.

Sorry for this but I'm another person that's interested in how the 737-NG will perform on my system!I have an AMD Athlon 1800XP, 512MB RAM, Radeon 9600Pro 128MBMyTraffic at 100%Active Camera,Active Sky FSW replacement cloudsSenery set at dense. I know that I wouldn't be able to keep those settings but was wondering how much I'd need to reduce before the 737 brought my system to it's knees!Victor

Hello guys!I'm planning to add the vortex effect for wings and flaps for all the series of NG.But to do this i need to find the exact coordinates (X,Y and Z) of the wing's extremity (normal wings and top of winglets) and of the outer longitudinal extremity of flaps.Is there anyone that have it?Yes, i can find it just trying many times...but i have to to this for 6 planes (600,700,700W,800,800W,900) and for each planes two position (wing and flap)..so a lot of time wastedPMDG,can you give me those coordinates??Many thanks
