Apart from upgrading to the 800/900 series(which I will do, but not yet!), is there any way to introduce a clock into the NG cockpit? I feel a bit lost without it.Thanks,Frank

I was flying from KEWR to KCLE and picked the runway 5...I then went to look for the ILS freq. and found the runway not there..then I looked at my other choices in the PMDG FMC and none of them where actual runways at Cleveland...has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix?ThanksChad Moore

Hi. I'm new to the forum, though I've heard of PMDG by reputation. Hopefully I'll have both 737 products when I can scrounge the cash. I'm also interning with "a major airline" at the moment and am just about done auditing their MD-80 systems course. It was an encouraging experience for multiple reasons (a "hey, even *I* can do this" feeling and the opportunity to explore a less automated aircraft) but it would also be nice to apply some of the new-found knowledge since I'm not taking the next step and doing the full coursework.If it were the 737 I'd know where to go. Greetings Gents,Is there an implementation of NRST (airport) in the FMC ? What i've been doing so far is adding the waypoint in LEGS and "going direct"(via LSK1L) which has the tendency to mess things up when you starttampering with the active flight legs.thankscheersJosh

I sure would love to see the 737-800 w/winglets modeled in the Miami Air livery. Miami Air is a well known charter airline that flys numerous athletic teams, convention attendees, etc.. Has anyone ever considered creating this livery? Thanks!

I do not usually fly with the Virtual Cockpit Panel but thought I'd use it today. To my surprise when I clicked on the OH Panel I noticed the Fuel Cross-Over and Fuel Pump toggle switches are "NOT CLICKABLE". When I try to click the switches (in VC mode), I only get the "mouse arrow" and not the "animated hand". I have the latest update and since I do not fly with the VC I did not notice this until now. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem. As far as the 2D panel goes everything works fine. Also, while flying online I experienced another strange behaviour with the VC. HI,I've just been trying to buy on the PMDG website but notice that a) their security certificate has expired, :( the "secure" sales page isn't encrypted.While the first issue doesn't particularly worry me, the second one does.I've tried different browsers but each one confirms there's no security on the credit card entry page.What gives?Vike

When i am on the FMC 'RTE' Screen i type the IACO code of the airport i am departing from (in this case EGLL - (Heathrow)) and click the LSK 1L button (to input this airport into 'origin' and after a few seconds it says 'Not in Database' on the scratchpad. I have all the correct SIDSTARS etc; and this happens on any airport i try to set as origin. Help please :(__ Alex Hnapikos

Hope someone can help. I recently installed FS2004 in a separate directory under programe files, on my machine. I was not satisfied with the performance, low frame rates etc. due to my slow processor. So I uninstalled FS2004 and kept on flying in FS2002, with my PMDG 737-700. Since then, all my AI traffic dissappeared, no traffic on the ground or in the air. I can't even talk to the ATC. It gives me the option to select ATC Clearance for instance, but nothing happens. I guess it could be because of an error in a config file, but don't know where to look. Help on this will be highly appreciated.Stephen

Friends-have been hunting around for a decent flight planner tht can do the FMC and pln routes, but still haven't found it. For some of us newbies, a stickie with good links to such things as:1. A good flight planner to create *.rte and *.plm2. Links to good sites for STAR/SID/IAL etc3. Since I'm not a big fan of sophisticated planes (FMC, active VC)I have one question about visual models 738739 Information on your site states that I should have 737NG before purchasing 738739. However, all that I really need are good visual models of 738739 and sounds. I don't need FMC, VC etc.So, is it possible to purchase (and normally use) 738739 package without purchasing 737NG if I'm interested in visualsounds only?Thanks for your response.

Hi guys........I was wondering if there is a way to adjust visual eye points in the 2D cockpit. I find that I see too much structure of the cockpit and not enough outside view during certain phases of flight. This was really obvious last night when I was flying the VOR 13L visual approach into KJFK. The approach requires you to do a change in course from 041 to about 130 at low altitude. The problem I had was that I had real problems visually acquiring the runway during the banked right turn because all I saw was the right co pilots glare shield. I needed the glare shield to be lower and raising the seat doesn't work when looking 45 degrees right or left.I even notice the…

Hi,Is it possible to run the FD, ND, FMC, etc Full screen to simulate a Project Magenta type setup? I tried undocking instruments, however they have a border around them, is there some way of getting rid of that?Also, how does the autopilot systems of PMDG compare with the Project Magenta system in terms of features and realism?ThanksAlan

Hi...I know there have been a few post similar to this, but on my 737-800 series the auto-throttle won't engage. Prior to taking off i click the A/T button, and it flashes and turns off. Just to let you know I have had the NG series for a while and it works fine. But I am new to the 800, and can't seem to get it to work. I suppose I have donw something wrong, but what? Can anyone help!BGPS

Hi - please forgive the ignorance of a newbie but what exactly is FSUIPC and what is its' use/how do I use it with my PMDG 737ng.Is it anything to do with finding/planning routes or showing airport arrival/departure paths/plans? If not is there something I can get hold of which will allow me to plan flights (preferably freeware)which will give me the SID/STARS and Tranitions that the FMC inevitably requires along with descent heights at VOR's or whatever - there certainly is a lot to learn and it is a VERY steep learning curve.Many thanks for any help.CheersRick

I realize that these questions have probably been asked billions of time, and I've spent countless hours using the search function, but I've got a few questions about the PMDG 737-600/700 before I fork over my $40.1.)Will it run acceptably on my system: 1.5GHz P4 1024Mhz RAM 64Mg Nvidia Geforce 2 Soundblaster Live! I'm particularly concerned about the Soundcard. Hi,Apologies if this has been asked before.When taking it around on a dual-channel approach the last engaged autopilot is supposed to automatically click off.This worked correctly with the 600/700 series, but with the 800/900 it doesn't seem to be happening.Anyone else have this prob?Thanks,Bryan

Hi!For the last couple of days I haven't been able to reach www.precisionmanuals.com.
