I currently have the 600/700 NG and am still getting familiar with all aspects of the flight envelope and FMC operation. But I understand there is no TCAS on it and also when it crashes, FS9 crashes with it. I've heard the 800/900 has fix for this specific type of crash I am experiencing and also that the 800 series has TCAS.If I instal the 800/900, will it destabilize anything in my 600/700 NG or change anything vital?Appreciate advice, thanks.Jonathan

Im looking for some Heathrow based flight plans to use with the 737, on the avsim libary i can only the download with 100 flight plans, unfortunately none are heathrow based :( Thanks

HiFirst of all, congratulations to PMDG for excellent products. Excellent job done, well done!!I run PMDG 737NG on a Win2000 FS2002 platform. I have seen and read all the comments regarding the 737NG and have tried all the suggestions, but to no avail:1. I can't operate the stairs on the defauls liveries (PMDG 737-700 with winglets & stairs), and can't assign the F9 and F10 keys to the concord visor, as in FS2002 this is also the key assignment for the flaps up/down. How else would I be able to operate the stairs in FS2002?2. I understand that the TCAS does not function in the 737NG 600/700 series, what a pity, as this would have been a great add-on. I do not have FS2…

Hello fellow simmersI recently purchased the PMDG 737NG 600/700 and 800/900 package..i have to say its awesome and extremely addictive.Well worth every penny i spent on it.I just wanted to ask...After i reach 18 000ft on climb the altimeter /baro setting should be reset to STD,,,,but on the 800 and 900 this is not happening...and also after having set autobrakes to RTO for take-off..after the airplane has rotated,,,the knob does not reset...Can anyone advise on whats happening,,,is it my error and ignorance or is it something else.?

Hi,I have a question: Is it possbile to alphabetically sort the flightplans in the FMC? Right now they appear in order they were put in the folder, and it's driving me nuts. The flightplan folder itself is sorted alpabetically, just not once I load up the FMC.Thanks for any help.Torsten

Hi folks,I think I discovered a bew bug! (Or 737's are different to ALL other Boeings!)Can you really activate an AFDS mode without either having a FD or an AP on??Let's say FD's are off aswell as both AP's. Now I press the ALT button and it lights up!! I'm pretty sure this is just another bug.Can you confirm?If it is a bug, how could this be missed in beta testing??Adrian

Hi all, three quick things I'd like to mention that maybe someone reading this might have an answer for. First, I have a high end system, P4 2.8 1 Gig DDR Ram, New X-800 Pro etc. and I was wondering why most of those screen shots posted for the art contest look like they are all better quality than I can get?Second, do you notice when flying through clouds in FS2004 it never seems like you are actually flying in a cloud because the cloud never actually envelops your plane. I say this because you can always see below you and see the ground or you can look off to the left or right and see blue sky when supposedly in the clouds. I thought Active Sky would fix this, but no…

Is the course intercept function working yet? The manual says so, but I can't get it to work. This is where you modify your route to intercept a radial to a fix. I have the 800/900.Thxad

Hi,I was trying to set up the FMC for a flight, EGPF to EGLL, when I put in "EGPF" as the dep airport on the route page, the following message was displayed.EGPF err: GLG unknownI am using Airac 0409 and the updated EGPF SID/STAR from NAVDATA.Looking in FMCWPNAVDATA i noticed that GLG (NDB) was not present but, GLA was, I changed that and then rerun FS9.Trying to setup FMC again I received another error message GOW(followed by a number).I realise that this question involves third party information but, does anyone know how I can cure this, it used to work before I reinstalled everyhting.ThanksTerry

After purchasing the 737NG package at Avsim Convention yesterday, I was told by another enthusiast that the 800/900 was a free upgrade to it...Yet I can find no mention of it on your site. Did they pass along bad information to me, or am I just too dense to see the option on your page?

Hi folks,a little question about the way of using the center tanks.are the center tanks pumps on for engines start?are the center tanks pumps on for take-off and landing(i think it should be "no").So,at what part of the flight would i used the center tanks.I have read center tanks is always used first,but do you have to wait for it to be completely empty?Then,at what moment do you open the crosfeed valve?only when the center tanks is empty?Thanks for your lights.olivier sinnaeve,Belgium.:-outta

I knew how to save routes on the 737-800/900 version 1, but now on the V1.1 (service pack 1) i don't know how to do it. There is no option to save on the init ref page!

My PMDG is working pretty flawlessly. However, once in a rare while the plane will go into a sudden climb after having captured the localizer and glideslope. Most of the time the landings are fine. When this anomaly happens, the only thing I can do is shut the autopilot down completely and finish the ILS landing manually.Has anyone experienced this at all?Lee

The PMDG 737/600-NG package offers a lot of enjoyment, but for newbies like me there are some matters I just can't figure out. Forgive me if this has been asked before. Here they are:1. How do I trim the aircraft before takeoff? What switch or keyboard combo do I use?2) When using the FMC, can't I use air traffic control (ATC) in combination with a planned flight that I have registered in the FMC?Thanks for your help!

Was going to take a little flight this morning when I noticed that the parking brake wouldn't set. The Control+. wouldn't work. I checked it out with both the 600/700 and the 800/900 - neither would set. The period would apply the brakes but the Control wouldn't hold the set. I changed key assignment to Control+, (comma) and it did work??? odd that the Contol worked with the , (comma) but not with the . (period). But the period would still apply the brakes. No problem with any of the other aircraft. Anyone had this trouble before? Could this be an FSUIPC thing?Terry

On see that there is supposed to be an Update on FS9 that is supposed to be realsed by Microsoft between now and the end of the month. Since I had less than satisfactory results from SP2, I am wondering if any Beta testing was done by Microsoft in conjuction with programs like PMDG, Active Sky, FS Nav and my latest purchase as yet to arrive , Radar Contact? I would hate to mess up what is running very well.

Guys,this topic has been started at the Active Sky forum, but now it seems it maybe much more a problem with the PMDG itself.I am using the 737-800 and AS2004 as well (by the way: great combination!). When I am flying at high flight levels (370 or 380), and the weather is updating (wind or pressure changes), the nose of the aircraft starts to bounce up and down. Seems like the autopilot has problems to bring the a/c back to the right speed and altitude at the same time.Some guys at the AS2004-forum said it might be a problem of too much GW in combination of too less speed at too much altitude.
