Now that I have spent a little over 10 hours in the PMDG 737, I have two issues to bring up. (1) The T/D seems to be too close to the target waypoint, meaning that all of my decents have to be at a faster vertical airspeed, which means that to keep it at the assigned airspeed, I must...(2) Use the speed brake, which not only is WAY too loud, but seems to have little effect at all on slowing the aircraft down when making a -1800 fpm decent. Also, am I correct in understanding that the flight manual calls for 10 kts above the REF speed on approach?Any ideas? thanks,

Hello,I have 2 questions, I am bit confused:On an ILS approach CYYZ 33R from KBUF, it is a very short distance:KBUF-RIDOD-AGBEK-MODUL-ZYZ-CYYZI have set the speed under LEGS option in FMC for RIDOD to be 160/3000, however before reaching this fix, i get an error "DRAG REQUIRED" which I understand, and deploy spoilers. However,onceat RIDOD and at 160kts, I push VNAV, but the FMC stays on MCP SPD. The next 3 waypoints in LEGS are all at or BELOW the speed RIDOD fix. What am I doing wrong?Secondly, how can I set the FMC to cruise at a speed I prefer? Is this done through the cost index? If so, is there a chart that correlates cost index with speed in kts? Hi,I have the PMDG 600/700/800/900 models, and would like to know how I can program SID STARS into the FMC. I have taken the Metzinger tutorials, but am still trying to figure out how to use SID's and STARS with my PMDG FMC. For example, let's say I would like to fly from KBOS to KJFX. Where do I get started? Do I have to open up the SID STARS files to find the routes. I'm sorry if I sound like a novice, because I am when it comes SID STARS. Any help you can give me regarding this matter, is greatly appreciated. :-zhelp

What do i have to do to make my PMDG Tcas work within the cockpit.Sometimes i see my planes in visual range without seeing them in my TCAS screen.Do i have to setup (via styles) my tcas with the option A: FSUIPC controlled or FS2004 internally controlled?Also my TCAS is on TA/RA like in real life.Are their perhaps any other things i don't see at this moment?greetings...Tom

I have had several problems when starting flights because the A/T switch flips back to off by itself and the A/T diengage light comes on. I check my settings on the FMC, Overhead, and main panel and don't see a problem. This does not happen all the time.Can someone give me some hints on what else to check.Mike KennonRDU

Hi all,Yesterday I've downloaded the new AIRAC Cycle (0409) for my PMDG Boeing 737-700, but afer I did this, I came in some trouble. For example, when I type LFLL (Saint Exepury - Lyon - France) in the scratchpad, and I put this in the arrival airport line. But then in the scratchpad appears this text: LFLL err.: TDP unknown. Before I installed the new AIRAC Cycle I didn't have any troubles with this airport. I really like this airport, and I like flying there, so who can help me solving this problem?Thanks in advance!Michael "Flightfreak" Henke

Been away from this forum for some time. Finally found time to crank up FS9 after over a year absent. Been reading many posts to get caught up on all the new stuff. Purchased the B1900D last week and have been enjoying every minute flying this smooth machine. Have one problem which is probably operator error but I can't get the cargo door to open using + + <2>. I have installed the latest update and also using CTRL+F10 and F9 for the cabin with no problem. Sure wouuld appreciate some help in getting the cargo door open since that is where I have all my stuff.Thanks,ctiger

After using 737-600/700 for a few months with no problem, i now have a problem i am sure it is easy to solve with the help of you guys. I cannot arm A/T anymore at take off.When taking off, and everything is set. I push A/T to arm it But all i get from the A/T is the white ARM message for a second on the PFD. The A/T button also blinks green for a second but nothing happens.The FMC warning light A/T first (red) blinks but i dont know what to do next to get it working...as far as i know i havent changed any settings.I just want to use the TO/GO setting.Many thanks in advance Paul Teasdale

I have looked around but for some reason (probably need better glasses) I can not find the key presses to activate the autofeather switch. I would like to program it to my Saitek X45. Can anyone help?Thanks in advance

When I input any airport info into the FMC, it always comes up "NOT IN DATABASE". I have downloaded the newest cycle, and then the info from the Austrian site, yet nothing works. The FMC accepts my current position and enters that, but nothing else. Any help at all would be appreciated.P.S. Using the 736 if that makes any difference

Hey, just purchased the great 737 NG package. I followed the tutorial flight between DEN and LAX with some problems but im slowly learning. One problem i had was that the LNAV and (the other other one i cant remember the name of) disengaged. A button lighted up saying FMC first or something similar, any idea why this was happening? Also are there any other tutorials taking you step by step through the FMC? One final question is can you import FS flight plans into the FMC, if so how.Thanks for your help :-newbie

Hello friends,I have downloaded and/or created various SIDS/STARS and FLGTPLANS for Australia. Every time I get within about 30NM or so of my DEST, even with a STAR selected, for example, I get RADR VECTORED to intercept the stock-standard ILS for that airport.Even when within the FS2004 flight planner I have added a particuar STAR (or SID), ATC still insist of vectoring me.I don't use SATCO or any of the other ATC add-ins, and would appreciate your experiences in making the inbuilt ATC of FS2004 let me actually fly a SID/STAR.Many thanks in advance, Chardy

Hi,I have just started to fly the NG from the VC only, and I am loving it, feels loads more realistic.There is one thing I would like though, the FMC is obscured from view in the VC, could a clickspot be added to bring the FMC up in a window?Other than that, its great to fly from the VC.CheersDan.

Lots of new liveries get previewed in this forum... with a comment like "just going for installer writing, on the website in a few days".Then they disappear into a black hole.

I've downloaded liveries from my favourite companies but they have all a single class configuration.When I use vc+vcab i see the two class configuration...How can I change this configuration to match my favourite companies?
