I downloaded a SID for Gatwick airport. Using the Dover departure I'm supposed to be at Tunby intersection at 5000 or above and at 6000 reaching the DVR D33. Somehow these restrictions is not held, the plane just keeps going up and I end up at over 8000 when I'm at the DVR D33. Could this be because it's an older version of the SID, and what can I do to make it work?-MikkelEdit: I wanted to say that I got the SID from the navdata site just today.

Hi,I'm still learning my ways with 737NG and I have probably silly question. When I reach cruising altitude and use autopilot to fly my programmed route the airplane is never properly leveled. Its nose is always more then 2.5 degrees up. Is there any way to correct this problem? If so, how to do it? Thanks for all replies,Szymon (N737AN)

According to Aircraft Rules,The navigation lights (Red and Green and strobe lights) must be 110 degrees and the tail navigation lightshould be 140 degrees.U can see the attachment.Not something major.Basically it means that no one can see the navigation and strobe lights from behind except the tail navigation light.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94301.jpg

I have some quick questions for you. It's probably in the manual although I could not find it. Here goes:1) Is it necessary to enter the crz wind numbers into the FMC, and if so does it make it difference. I suspect it would make a difference with regards to the fuel consumption calculations, but how can I get those beforehand?2) Does it make a difference if I enter the OAT into the FMC, and again where would I get those?3) On takeoff I shut the fuel pumps for the center tank off when I have less than 5000 pounds in them, and engage them again on climb. My question is, when do I shut them off, when there is nothing left, or should I leave something in it, like 1000 pounds…

Hi guys.I always put my headwind component into the WIND CORR. line on APPROACH PAGE, then I go to the LEGS page, pick up the speed on the RNW10 line, add by 5 and put on my MCP SPD.But I just found there's a disagreement between the calculated speed on LEGS page and the manual calculation.So, let's suppose I have a 8kts headwind and my Vref (no wind correction yet) is 145. So I divide 8 by 2 and add 145. That would be 149. But my LEGS page usually show a higher value.Which of them (manual or automatic calculation) should I use?And another little question: My speed over the treshold is VREF+5 or VREF? The manual says VREF is runway treshold speedThanks,

Hey guys,I'm really looking forward to the 747. I understand there is going to be some sort of ACARS system built into it's FMC. I am going to buy the 747 no doubt, but I am still loyal to my 737 so I was wondering if you had any plans to integrate the ACARS into the 737.Thanks, Scott

I got a new download link yesterday and i downloaded the file, all went well. I just reinstalled FS9 after 3 months of no use, all went well, i got the microsoft FS9 patch, then i couldnt start FS, so i deleted FS and the 737, deleted the install file for the 737, becuase i dont know if the patch or 737 caused this, resinstalled FS again, went to download the 737, got it, double clicked on it, and then it said file is invalid or corrupt, i try to download the file again and get this message in my browser, No web site is configured at this address. Any help would be appreciatedAdam

Fellow CaptainsI have posted this question three times and just got "tea and sympathy"...but no real answers.As the time goes by, the cycles for SID/STARS and NAVDATA are changing. It did in Amsterdam, Miami, Orlando etc. They all have re-numbered their runways. So, I do update for the new cycles, etc. That's OK, the world changes.HOWEVER, our world is FS9, and it does not change as quickly...In reality, whenever I want to land in a FS9 Runway, it's not there on PMDG... This conflict has brought a lot of frustation and the gist of dealing with a beautiful airplane.Worst, I know I can't ask MS for updating their database...How do I get out of this dilemma, Captains? Hello,After installing FS9 update, I think that the font sizes or something like that littlebit changed in my FS in PMDG monitor gauges. Hello,when i am on an ILS Approach I would like to set the Minimums in theVertical Horizont Gauge, then there are small green numbers in the down right corner. My question is how I know which height I should set?As far as I know you can see it on the ILS chart of the runway, but there are two heights, first one is DH and the second is DA. So which of them i have to set?

Hello,I was just wondering if anybody knows, with all the new features out on advanced aircraft models from Posky and FDX with the dynamic wing flex (the bouncing wings in turbulence) and everything, (the PMDG 747 being the highly advanced airplane it is) will the PMDG 747 have a dynamic wing flex and all that other eye candy as well?? Hello,With my installation of the 737 800 series, none of the fire exstinguisher handles nor any of the fire alarm/bottle test mode switches function in the virtual cockpit. Is this supposed to be this way?Thanks.

Gents,in 737-800 Virtual cockpit mode, Num-Lock ON, I am able to move into the cabin and reach a window.The only way I can look OUTside the aircraft is to keep pushing 8 (Forward) until I pass through the fuselage :-) then I get a nice wing view.is there any way to actually sit down in a chair in the PMDG 737 and look out the window ? I pushed "0" in Num Lock mode, (Crouch) but it doesn't seem to work in the cabin. (though it works outside).I also loaded the active camera 2.0 template for PMDG 737, but doesn't help the wing view.Thanks!cheersJosh

has anyone had any problems/issues with PMDG 737 and the FS9 patch? Basically, I'm asking if the install of the patch is transparent with regard to the PMDG planes? I'm waffleing on getting the patch as I don't want to have to hassle with repairing and reinstalling addon's; especially PMDG.

I have been having fits trying to get FS9 to start with today's date and time. I have system time checked on the options, I create a flight at the airport that I always start from and set the time and date and save it. Then I exit FS9, and a few hours later, start it again and I have the time from when I intially created the flight. Also the date never changes. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Suddenly my FMC will not recognize CYLW, an airport I use a lot. Everything else is fine, but Kelowna produces an error message indicating runways are not in the data base. The SID/STAR CYLW file is in the folder. The problem first arose after I installed the MS patch and the latest AIRAC. Any suggestions?Peter Lowry

Okay PMDG, I built a brand new PC to run your 737 so,I'm not going to fork over money for Active Camera, period. Is there a way I can still get passenger views/wingviews by editing the default viewpoint in the aircraft.cfg file?Thanks, Evan
