Hi fellow simmers!I'm sure some of you are using the CH Yoke and Pedals. Since I reinstalled Windows and the FS some time ago, the handling of the PMDG 737 using these devices feels unrealistic to me. I tried to tweak some settings using the Control Manager and FS Sensitivities, but I can't get the feel right. Somehow the 737-800 for example feels a little bit to light for me. Minor corrections on final approach result in huge effects. When watching some 737 cockpit videos I see the pilots stearing heavily on final approach without huge effects. I'm also not too happy with the rudder.OK, to put it short - could you post your settings in the Control Manager and FS when you…

greetings;i will get right to the point - whenever i attempt to start up the 737NG 600/700 from a cold/dark situation, i follow the documentation included with the software; the right engine starts up just fine, however, the left engine will just make that infuriating ignition sound, with the engine starting up about halfway then just dying, then trying all over again. I refuse to resort to 'Ctrl+E' as i do not pay $30 or whatever it is to follow the improper way.HELP!

Has PMDG considered the development of the Dornier 328 Jet in the Express category? You cannot find a decent model on AVSIM, and our Virtual Airline (Midwest Virtual Airline at www.vmidex.com) badly needs one for our fleet. It is a staple of the real Midwest Airline, and we need it for our routes as well. We love your B1900 Express aircraft in the Midwest Connect colors, and would love it if you could do something with the Dornier as well. Let me know if that would be possible, OK?

I was wondering how this departure is flown. Do I just takeoff from say 8R and then as soon as possible turn toward the transition? I'm most interested in how it would be done when flying online as that's what I mostly do....btw, I was looking at the Miami tower today on servinfo, and it said takeoff from 9L, 9R and 12. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought it was 8L, 8R and 12, atleast that's what my charts say...I even got a screenshot of it. Maybe there is something with the fact that it's VATSIM?

I really want to buy the 737's but I know that the VC is a FPS killer...you ahve to crank down wayyyy too much eye candy to enjoy the plane...how does the 2D cockpit fare to the VC in FPS?? Is it much better?

I just returned from the AVSIM 2004 conference in Denver and wanted to extend my congratulations to the PMDG crew for a well deserved Bravo Zulu award in the Best Commercial Aircraft Package category. At the awards banquet, when Murray Pratt announced PMDG as the category winner, he was interrupted by a thunderous round of applause from the entire room in approval of the selected winner. Not only was PMDG recognized for a superior product in the 737NG series, but the PMDG crew was also recognized for its outstanding customer support.Again, congratulations and I hope to see PMDG awarded for its future endeavors.Bruce NicholsonA very satisfied PMDG customer

I usually fly short distances which doesn't require more than the 1000 lbs. of fuel in the center tank. My question is - do I need to have the crossfeed valve open or closed during the cruise phase?-Mikkel

Found this site on the internet where you can download the entire manual on instrument flight procedures made by the airforce. It can answer any question you might have on instrument flight procedures. It's a 297 page document, so there should be enough to read for anyone. :)You can get it here:http://www.e-publishing.af.mil/mastercatal...ter_catalog.asp...enter "instrument flight procedures" in the box next to where it says "long title" and you can download the PDF.Enjoy :)-Mikkel

Hello,After spending over a year figuring out how to use the FMC (still learning) I now find that I'm just not satisfied flying anything else. Oh sure, many other aircraft look great but basicly they're all the same. . . different panel, same experience. There are a few other rides that have an FMC. Anything out there that compares to PMDG? I have been looking at the CRJ and I know Phoenix, although perhaps dated have sophisiticated flight planners. What do you guys think.Terry

Hi All,I am new to the PMDG737-600/700 & i have a question. When rolling down the runway at full throttle, why does this aircraft seem to simulate speed slow compared to other aircraft add-ons like the eurowings BAE146?When i take off using the 146, it seems to simulate the speed a lot more than the PMDG737 & i am left wondering if i am going to run out of runway, the 737 seems to be slow at climbing too.Any idea's?Great add-on though, very nice.cheersMike.

Hi Captains, here are some screenshots of my recent flights with the beautiful PMDG 737 in awesome weather:Lined up at Seattle in a foggy dawn with 1/4 SM visibility and OVC at 100ft:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94373.jpgReady to go in the fog:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94375.jpgFinally clear of fog and other clouds, climbing enroute to Denver with the rising sun almost ahead:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/94374.jpg

Hypothetical Question:You are sitting in First class in a 737 on a landing approach to your home airport, in IFR weather and really low ceilings, flaps go to 30 and gear goes down, so you know you must be getting pretty close to the outer marker. All of a sudden, you hear though the cockpit door""Glide Slope - Glide Slope" " Sink Rate... Sink Rate" "Pull up - Pull Up"What would you do?

Can you tell me why there is a separate Course window on the MCP for Capt and F/O? Is it merely for convenience and visibility? If each is tuned to a different course, is the course followed by the AFDS dependent on which A/P is in command(not that I'm necessarily suggesting you might want to do this!)?Secondly, I know the Course window is used to tune the ILS course, but what other functions does it have? I can tune a VOR, then select a course for display on the ND, but this is for reference only, isn't it? It is not possible to have the A/P fly the selected course, as far as I know?A slightly related question - is having two FMCs merely a matter of convenience, so you c…

I am using a '14 monitor running on a resolution of 1024x768 so you could imagine how difficult anything may be while using FS with the NG panel. I am looking to upgrade. Does anyone have anysuggestions for a bigger monitor that is not too expensive (including company, make, size, price, etc.) that you know of?Thanks! Brandon Glass
