    Hi Guys,I have a quick question about something that happened to me last night on a flight into KSFO. I was all setup on final for ILS RWY 28L. I disconnected the AP at 500 feet, and began to fly the 700 down. I then noticed that a Cessna 172 was cleared in front of me (darn that ATC), and that I was approaching quicker than they would ever move. The tower noticed as well, and told me to go around. I followed their vectors around, and came back for my second approach.After making my turn onto final, I clicked on the LOC button, and the autopilot did not lock on to the localizer. It totally ignored it. I was able to fly manually with the glideslope, but I'm not sure …

    Can anyone confirm this?The LNAV preactivation doesn't work if you are on the ground, but airport elev is above 400ft?If so, PMDG please include in the FIX list! (if you have one)

    A mixed bag, I know, because I was 'playing' with the NG on the ground this evening rather than flying, and noticed some anomalies. I'd appreciate any comments you might have.1a. With wing fuel pumps off, and center fuel pumps on, fuel is drawn correctly from the center tanks, but if ALL pump are off, the fuel is drawn from the wing tanks, and not by gravity feed from the center tank. That's not right, is it?1b. If I move the start levers Cutoff->Idle and back(to ensure they're actually at cutoff), the Engine and Spar Valve lights stay illuminated brightly until after engine start. Is this correct?2.     Gents,For manual landings and no ILS, how far from the runway threshold should one start extending flaps and what speed?I tried to be 1800' about 20 miles from the threshold, at 190kt,and then at 10 miles i dropped 5 Flaps @170kt, and at 3 miles, i wentto FMC Vref, gear down, in this case 145kt + 30 flaps.I must have been pretty fast, because i slightly overshot, got a few SINK warnings b/c of the 30 flaps out too late, when i had to drop like a stone.How do you plan a proper approach profile?     whenever i start up the 737-600/700 (after i start the engines), my sound gets really distorted and staticy. i don't know what the problem is, because it goes away after maybe 10 minutes, but i literally have to go and get a cup of coffee while it sorts itself out, because i can't stand the sound so much. anybody ever had this issue or know how to fix it?

    Hello. I have my realism settings set high, but when I open overhead panel and switch everything off, I am still able to fly without any type of failure or shutdown. The only thing that stops working are the flaps and gear. Am I missing something?

    After much searching and looking at the FAQ with no luck, I have some questions.How do I know what version of the 737-800/900 I have? I can't remember if I installed the update and/or would it be ok to install it twice?I've noticed that sometimes the approach speed bugs will not appear on the PFD when the are selected on the FMC for a particular flap setting?     After programming and flying a flightplan on Vatsim,I know it will work fine if as programmed.My problems come when ATC start give me other instructions.e.g. "Desend and maintane FL240". I select 24000 and select LVL change. I've no problemhow LVL change works, if also changing requested speed it will result in different vertical speed.Anyhow I get same problem on any deviate from flightplan.To get instant change, I use MCP most quick, and bypassthe FMC.But then after different requested levels and speeds by ATC, I don't know if drag will be required.Either to late I realize I'm to fast/high, orI use drag and in the end I see throttle are required.The green arc in navigat…

    Hi All, I installed the latest nvidia video drivers and have now a problem... each time i set the transponder to TA/RA the FS window blacks out and gets unresponsive... I tried reinstalling the older video drivers and some other things but the problem persists. Maybe it wasn't the video driver but I don't know what I could have done... Not really a BIG problem (I'm going to flatten out the system in a month anyway) but I0'd like to know what it is. I'm running Windows XP SP2 on an AMD 2400+, 768Mb DDR, nVidia GF 5600FX , PMG 737 800/900 with all patches for the 600/700 series. Any ideas? Thanks, Luca

    Im am suddenly unable to enter GW / Fuel and ZFW into FMC by clicking on the correct buttons. I use PMDG 737NG 600/700 with WindowsXP SP2 GDI-Patch and MS FlightSimulator2004 V. 9.1 and FSUIPC 3.4 unregisteredMy PMDG used to work correct some time ago but know it's unflyable due to the problem that there's no way to enter the weight and amount of fuel.     I don't have the PMDG add-on yet but considering its evidently closer to the real a/c then any other sim, I was just curious about the climb-out angle after take-off.According to a real 737 pilot - DF-400 booklet - after take-off the normal angle is between 15-20 degrees. Although there does seem a huge difference when comparing a 15 degree nose-up to 20. Is there any limit on what real a/c keep there climb angle to? I know so many factors come into it - weight, power setting, OAT and so on. But if the a/c was light but quite a lot of power was needed - shorter runway - would the pilot keep pulling back to hold V2+10-20 or is there a limit on the angle so it doesn't disco…

    Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to extract a flap sound from a video clip.     Gents,When I save a PMDG 737 flight in FS2004, it saves everything, but not the FMC flight plan..as a result, i have to reload it. I realize it's not a big deal, but it can be annoying sometimes to rekey in everything. Any workarounds?Also, more than often, the fuel is not loaded properly - i have to go back to the fuel pulldown and fill up the tanks.These are both probably FS2004 specific issues, so I realize there are limitations, just wondering how everyone is working around themcheers,Josh

    Did you ever have a perfect flight with a Flight Sim. Well today, my flight from Salt Lake to Seattle with the updated FS9.1 was just about perfect. I had installed an 2004.5 update to Active Sky yesterday, but was a little confused as to whether I need it or not, since I had a Beta version of 2004.5. Anyway, it installed, so I decided to see if I noticed any difference in the clouds, between the new version and that Beta . Wow!!!!! Couldn't believe the difference.
