Hi:Are there ready made flight plans available that can be uploaded into the 737 FMC?Considering the number of folks using this programme, there must be thousands of plans that people have constructed.I'm hoping someone can direct me to site where you can download various pre-formated plans - ready to go so to speak! Thanks and have fun.............Iain

I was flying to LFMN in the 736 NG at FL400 with VNAV and LNAV active. All was fine. I then dialed in FL380 to the ALT window to try and cruise at a lower ALT for some of the flight and clicked on ALT INTV to descend to FL380. It descended me to FL380 but now I am in ECON PATH DESC mode and locked out of the FMC's CRZ window! I cannot find a way to adjust things in the FMC to reflect a new cruise ALT of 38,000'. I've climbed back to FL400, but I am still in ECON PATH DES and still locked out of CRZ mode and at a DESC SPD of M.771.This is confusing. I thought I could climb and descend using this procedure while in VNAV and that the adjustments would appear in the FMC…

The views and panels work fine except for the Overhead panel. When I click "O", the overhead comes up OK, but it then gets "stuck" when I try to close it. I cannot click on "O" to close it; clicking on other panel icon letters fails to close it too. I have to do SHIFT+5 to get back to the normal 2-D panel view. (I have the 800/900 installed as well). Is there a fix for this? Thanks!Jonathan

I went to a site that gave me all my sids/stars and waypoints that I needed for a particular route ( KIND (0.0nm) -DCT-> VHP (6.8nm) -VLA5-> KSTL (203.0nm)). I was trying to manually enter airways routes in the FMC and I kept on getting "not in database." Am I doing something wrong? My FMC does not tell me that I need to download a new database. It seems that there is a database, but when I go to manuall put in a database I can't. My other problem is upon decent. How do realworld pilots descend. I'm finding that if I leave it up to the FMC it overshoots my waypoints. When I take off I usually use heading select towards my sids at which point I use LNAV upon …

The only complaint I have had about PMDG 737 is the warning and advisory sounds like 2500, 1000, Gear too low, etc that seem to be many times the volume of the rest of the sounds. It has been troublesome because I like to fly with the sound cranked up for realism , and when one of these sounds plays, my neighbor at the end of the block can probably hear it. Yesterday I found Sound Recorder In my Win XP all programs/ accessory/entertainment/ folder I loaded up all the files which are clearly indentified in the FS9/sounds/Pmdg folder and Sound recorder gives the ability to load each file , one at a time, reduce the volume and resave. I found that on most of the really lou…

I'd like to be able to program the FMC so I can fly a curcuit in the 737 following LNAV.For example, if I want to fly a circuit from London Stansted (EGSS) runway 23 and land back on runway 23, I currently program a departure from runway 23 and an arrival on RWY 23 with a extended centreline of something like 10 miles. I use HDG SEL to navigate myself around the circuit to RX-23. It's pretty awkward if you are hand-flying the circuit.Getting the the point at last... I do not seem to be able to use RX-23 to create a place/bearing/distance notional waypoint. Instead have to use EGSS to create them, which is quite fiddly and not very exact if you want a simple circuit patter…

Hey guys,I'll get straight to the point and hopefully one (or more) of you can help!!! Just now I had a CTD with the following message:The instruction at "0x7c911f6c" referenced memory at "0x656e0052". The memory could not be "read"I know this is NOT a problem with the 737 since its not cropped up before but I was wondering if I could use the wealth of knowledge on this forum for some pointers as to what could have caused it. Hope its a one off. I was running AS2004.5 flying the 738 from EDDF to EGKK just started descent when it happened. It was FS9.1 that crashed not AS.

Hello All -I had the pleasure of reinstalling my entire WinXP OS this past week :-) . It was so much fun let me tell you, you should try it someday (trust me, I am being very sarcastic :-) ). Anyways, on a recent flight to DTW I was on Take-off roll when all of the sudden around V1 my engines failed completely. Interesting enough, I had not selected any failures in the PMDG menu or FS9 menus. I did try something different though, Instead of a manual thrust intervention, I used the TO/GA mode. Could I have done something incorrect in either the FMC or general NG config? One thing I haven't checked was FSUIPC to see if anything was different. Just looking for some fe…

Is it just me or does VNAV (737-700) produce brutal and unrealistic climb rates? For example, after completing a WOB2G departure from EGLL, I activate VNAV after the SID has been flown, and I get climb rates of up to 4000 fpm to begin with! Is such a rate of climb acceptable and normally used in real life? I also get descent rates of around 2100 fpm, is this normal?Thanks.James.

  17. Hi,Last week i upgraded from the GeForce 3 Ti200 to the Radeon 9600 XT.Major difference! Very nice framerates now.But...there is a problem, and it seems to be getting worse all the time.Ever since i installed the new card i see different fonts (Characters? English is not my native tongue) in the autopilot (mcp), fmc, a.i. aicraft labels and a couple of other places. I don't like them but that is not the problem. Today i didn't get the fs brake message anymore (the red thing at the bottom of the screen)and i didn't get ATC text anymore.I use the latest Omega drivers (2.5.90). There must be a very simple solution for this fontproblem, i probably overlooked it a thousand tim…

I'm thinking of buying the 737, but have an old system running XP Home and FS9.i.e. P4 2ghz, 1024 mb DDR RAM, Nvidia FX5900 with 128mbI've tweaked and tweaked and can get acceptable performance in most circumstances even with a virtual cockpit, by which I mean SMOOTH FPS from mid-teens to 25, where I have set the max. What kills my system entirely (apart from clouds)is a virtual cabin, which I wouldn't use anyway as I don't have ActiveCamera. Is it possible to load the 737 WITH the virtual cockpit but WITHOUT the virtual cabin?IF not, I think I will wait until I can upgrade!

Hi,A few weeks ago I posted a question asking how to resize the 600/700 FMC as I find it too big and blocks other instruments. Someone replied that you can resize it by clicking and dragging on a corner. tried that - don't work ! I've tried just about every edge and all it does it drag the whole thing around the screen. Any ideas please ?FS2002/Windows XP/SP2 blah, blah, blah.

Hi,in the downloads we can find a export module for FS-Navigator.Modules for Another Flight planer (for example FS commander) are not available. Why not?Ok it is a lot of work. To many Flight planers are on the market. No! We want only to import Flight plans from FS-Format and all pilots are hapy.Best regardsEric

Hi everyone:I thought I would share this with you.If you are like me you find the PFD, EICAS and ND a little to small when you pop them up on the screen. Then you can resize them using the edge and pulling them, however, this has to be done every time you use FS9.I solved the problem by altering the panel files. This is what I did:

Gentlemen,Why does the FMC recommend a cruise altitude that is unatainable? For instance, KBNA-KMEM. Granted this is a very short route and probably not realistic, but still I would have thought the FMC would account for this short distance. My second question then is what method is used to determine a plausible crz alt? Thanks,Steve Harwood
