    Have been experimenting with the demo version of Active Camera and PMDG 737NG cabin views. On the whole quite impressive. (You can of course get a cabin view of sorts without this ap. but no further back than the forward galley area). Now the thing that is most lacking with cabin views is virtual pax - there are none! Makes cabin views a tad unrealistic. So not sure whether I will buy AC - does little for PSS addons - have to have a closer look at what else it can do.Bruce

    Greetings!Some more elementary questions I'd appreciate some answers on:Marker Beacons:During an ILS approach and when crossing the marker beacons, how do we get aural indications (like the beeps) in the NG Flight deck? At the moment I only see that circular display with OM or MM written inside in on the top right corner of the PFD.     I am still trying to learn how to fly the 737. I flew the tutorial flight perfectly with a successful autoland but am having trouble with my own flights. The take-off, climb, and cruise portions of my flights all go smoothly. When I get to the descent I have problems. Recently on a flight from IAH to ORD in the 737-700 the autopilot did not descend early enough and I was over the airport when I finally reached the glidelope altitude. This has happened several times.Also, on the rare occasions I am low enough, I have trouble intercepting the glideslope.     i get a lot of stutters when flying the 747/600/700 my system specs are athlonxp2.8cpu fx5900graphics card running at 8x anti-aliasing and 512pc3200ram, is the stutters caused by the high anti-aliasing setting or only having 512ram,both the scenery density and autogen density are set at dense. thanks jim

    Has anyone ever experienced the autopilot disengage for no reason? I was flying the 737-900 the other day when the screen momentarily flickered (as if you changed the view, then back again VERY quickly), the next thing I heard was the autopilot disengage warning!After grabbing the stick the plane flew perfectly normally until the autopilot was reengaged.I think it has happened once in the past, it was a while ago. All I remember was returning from the loo during a long flight and finding my previously stable aircraft (again the NG) broken in bits, it was overstressed due to it falling from the sky.     First let me say that I really love this airplane, it is just incredible to fly... the level of detail is wonderful! I'm having a pretty big issue though. I fly online alot, most always, and when typing messages in SB it has a tendancy to revert back to FS in the middle of typing. Hence you end up activating or changing things on your plane, no big deal. The problem is I have accidently unlinked my throttles, and am unable to relink them. I have tried EVERYTHING. The function is enabled and using "E" for engine selection in FS. But when I try and press "E" quickly Followed by "1+2" not a thing happens!     I have just purchased the 737 NG 600/700 and am still having great fun exploring the various functions.However,I am having trouble with ILS Approaches. It doesn't matter what airport I approach the aircraft system keeps wanting to land me way to the left of the selected runway. With the ND in App mode the runway indicator is off to the right but the systems make no attempt to correct the approach.     When creating a flight plan, what criteria should I use for determining my cruise level? In particular, for short flights (of about 300 nm or so) is there a minimum time I should be able to remain at the chosen flight level, before it would be regarded as uneconomic to be that high? Is there a formula based on trip length, speed, etc that might serve as a guide? The FMC will calculate an OPT flight level, but I am not sure how it comes by this figure(I think it once suggested FL410 for the above 300 nm trip, which seems a tad high, don't you think?)?Supplementary, quite unrelated question(it just came to mind now :-)): What is the formula for calculating head or tailwind…

    Anyone here know anything about the HF transmissions used for NAT routes? I've been listening to an online HF NAT stream and have listened in the past on my Kenwood HT (it has HF w/ SSB). What exactly do they relay on these comms? They don't ever seem to say anything that makes any sense. Also, what are the dual tones that broadcast on there so much?PMDG, any chance we could have a 75 meters sound wave with it's storm crashes and noise (no talking) that would come on when we tested the radio on HF?     I'm starting to get used to my 737-700 after a few weeks flying it. One small thing I have noticed is that the Logo lights on the tail can not be turned off. That is at night, in the day is is off. It is no big deal but if anyone knows a fix then I'd probably fix it otherwise I'll continue flying & not worry about it.

    Hi everyone,I was wondering if the selected assumed temperature indication on the Primary Engine Indications Display shouldn't disappear once the A/T has selected CLB thrust after takeoff.     I have a question about how the aircraft deals with a reduced tkaeoff and climb. Am I right in saying that above FL150 the aircraft will resume normal climb thrust after having done a reduced takeoff and climb. If so, I haven't seen this action, it looks like mine stays in the reduced climb mode even though the EICAS changes from R-CLB to CLB. The engines just don't seem to spool up to a normal climb thrust.
