I just landed at LFMC (Nice, France) on the -600 in PMDG colors after flying from EGLL.Everything went pretty much perfectly on this maiden FMC flight. It was as close to textbook perfect as you can get. I departed EGLL at 112K.lbs with 1/3 of a tank. I got all the expected annunciations on the PFD and FMC throughout the trip. I was able to step-climb/cruise in VNAV, manage all the different MCP modes during the flight to test them (and myself), depart from the flight track for miles and swing back in, descend flawlessly (I entered estimated wx data for the forecast page), maintain speeds, hold VNAV down to LOC capture at 2500 AGL, and do a perfect autoland despite a …

I was setting up a flight out of KORD and noticed that there were no SIDS departures available. So I thought I might not have the complete nav/data base, so I went to navdata.at and downloaded navdata 0411 and checked out the SIDS/STAR download. The SID/STAR download did not have KORD and for that matter only had about five US updates. Does KORD not have any sids, am I doing something wrong? Surely KORD would have sids. Can somebody please help me.Rich

I was curious, would it be possible for PMDG to release the full manual for their 744 in advance, (a downloadable copy) so that potential buyers may become aquainted with the aircraft.I myself believe that it would be great to get the aircraft when it comes out and already know everything about it -- making it easy for me to make a flight straight awayJust a thought...____Alex

Has anyone noticed a anomoly that occurs when climbing with the AP engaged (CMD) and in FLCH (MCP SPD) without the autothrottles engaged such that if thrust is reduced, the F/D does not lower the pitch attitude to track the set MCP speed? In situation, when I reduce thrust, the F/D command bars maintain pitch attitude and the airspeed decays and if left uncheck, will decay into the stall.This is contary to my understanding of FLCH/MCP SPD mode. If thrust is reduced, pitch attitude should reduce to maintain MCP set speed down to about 100 FPM vertical speed at which point speed when the decay if insufficient thrust is applied.The situation occurs when I'm holding a set M…

Once again proving there are few things that can't be done in a PMDG 737NG, I just completed a circumnavigation of the globe.All but a few legs were scheduled airline flights including some rather longish legs over the Pacific! 36 legs, 33395 miles - many hours! Thank you PMDG!:-halo

I currently have the CD version of the 600/700 and my question is: If I upgrade to the 800/900 on the PMDG website using the download method, will I get ALL the updates/revisions that have been added since it initially came out. In other words, I'm hoping I won't have to download ANY updates or revisions and the download will incorporate ALL of these as of today..Regards,jack

Hey I am interested in knowing what kind of fps you guys get in the new pmdg737-900, lets say at laguardia in ny scenery maxed out with ultimate traffic, and activesky.. I am very interested in purchasing this bird just dont want it to be a slide show, Im getting my ccomputer tomorow, its amd fx55 with 2gb and x800 xt pe, you think I could stay at 20fps+ with everything maxed out.. I changed my monitor a few weeks back (nothing expensive - just another, slightly newer one I had lying around) and I remember thinking how much better the graphics were - clearer and brighter. However, I loaded the latest FS Manager recently from PC Pilot CD and fiddled around (as you do) and especially used the FSTweak part to modify scenery settings to optimise performance. Since then (and I am sure as I can be that I've done nothing else) the graphics don't look anywhere near as good. The distance shimmers and the white runway lines aren't straight but 'zig zaggy' and constantly moving around. I've done the obvious - tried resetting defaults in Display Options and …

They are too small and not readable what can be done about this is there are way to make them clearer or more focused?p.s. I'm new to the forums and i just purchased the pmdg and I feel really lost it seems so complicated.

So well done to the PMDG team, thanx for a great product!I have a question for you all and I need some help!Could someone please tell me how to tweak the .cfg file to import the FS9 Garmin GPS (the one thats used in the FS9 default 737)? First let me apologize for bringing it up again, because I know this issue was already the topic of an earlier thread, but after 30 minutes of searching for it, to no avail, I gave up.I still have, but only in the 8/900 the problem of the FMC suggesting an OPT CRZ ALT higher than MAX CRZ ALT, e.g. OPT 378 MAX 374. This seems to happen mostly with high ZFWS on longer trips, like on a 11200 nm sector with a full pax load, plus cargo equalling 25 kg (55.1 lbs) of luggage per passenger.I dimly remember Capt Randazzo stating somewhere that OPT should never be more than MAX and somebody else suggesting otherwise.I would certainly appreciate comments of Real world NG drivers abo…

How do I get a smooth transition from manual take-off to autopilot? Sometimes after take-off, while still climbing, I engage auto pilot to be met with a dive followed by a recovery or, alternatively, a very high rate of climb, which I have to adjust immediately to avoid a stall. I would like to be in a controlled climb, engage autopliot and stay there.Thanks Richard

Hello:I hate asking what are simple questions that seem to take hours of time trying to sort out.Flying the 737-800, I find that the spoilers (is that their real name?)do not deploy on landing. Autobrakes are set and the throttle is armed. Perhaps I have accidently adjusted something in the overhead panel - as I am still coming to grips with the cold and dark start. Everything was fine until today.Any ideas? Many thanks.....Iain

Today i downloaded the new version of FSUIPC v3.41 When I start fs up and get into a PMDG 737-600/700/800/900 the panel is there but none of the guages are on. I checked all the power settings on the overhead panel and they all seem to be ok. The generator switches and ground power switch no longer work and just freeze in their current position. Almost everything on the overhead does not work and just about the only thing that does work is the throttle. I will try and revert back to FSUIPC 3.4 in a little bit to check if the new version is causing the problem. If I'm doing something wrong or there is a fix please let me know. Thanx

Alright there was a post a couple days ago about problems with FSUIPC 3.411 and the 737NG, did anyone figure out a solution? I try to turn on the battery swithches still and nothing turns on, the lights on the overhead illuminate but none of the displays turn on down on the main panel. Anyone found a solution yet?--Brandon
