I have a somewhat weird problem. Just installed both 600/700 and 8/900 versions. Did a testflight in the 800 and the fr was horrible.. Im talking 3-4 fps. Spotview etc was fine with 20-25 fps, this just happened in the 2d or vc views.Im running fs9.0 on a 3.2ghz p4 with 1gb of paired PC4000 ram and a GeForce6800Ultra/256mbSurely my setup should give better frame-rates than the ones Im accieving at the moment?(this has not been a problem with other addons I have, so it must be related to the pmdg 737 in some way) Thanks for any help in resolving this.Christian Quaynor

I asked this the other day on the back of an answer to something else - probably the reason I didn't get any response !!. Anyway, previously I was told by a helpful forum member that to resize the FMC I needed to right click on it, 'undock' the view and then resizwe by dragging on a corner. I tried this but the 'undock' option is greyed out so it won't work. Can I change this please ?737-600/700FS2002

Is there a way to assign reverse thrust to one of the buttons on my CH control yoke? I see there are all sorts of ways to assign 737 commands to buttons, but in the 737 menu, there is no option to assign "reverse thrust" to anything. Right now I have to use F2. I would rather assign reverse thrust to a joystick (in this case, control yoke) button.ThanksChris Catalano

  4. I would love a biz jet like the Dassault Falcon 50 or any other racy and classy looking biz jet. I love the quality of PMDG's work--it is unparalleled. I have the Eaglesoft products, Citation X is decent, but again, it needs the PMDG treatment. I am not a hardcore aviationist, and I like excellent artwork and gauges that are crystal clear, gauges that perform smoothly, excellent perspective views in the VC with an eye for practicallity, and a killer variety of 2D panels all with the right size and location. I REALLY like the 737NG, and I think it exemplifies the PMDG balance of art and technical quality. The B1900D (dang wish it was a EMB-120) is excellent, albeit in…

Hi,Something strange happened. I starts FS9 like usual and load my PMDG B737-600.I start all the systems on the overhead panel, but when returning to the main panel, everything seems dead, nothing works like if the power is down. Also the FMC is not working. And when you put on the instrument lights, overhead is lightened, but main panel is not.I uninstalled and reinstalled my PMDG, but no changes. All the standard aircraft are still working in FS9.Any solutions????Thx,Jo

In building my flightplan EGLL-LFMN, with departure from EGLL 9R, I found that the SID offered to me from within the PMDG FMC dBase stretched out to a point about 40 miles east of my proposed flightplan. I had generated the flightplan from "Routefinder" online. My question is this: in such a case, do I amend the flightplan so that it joins up the end of the SID, or do I truncate the SID and turn off it earlier to join the flightplan? How does this work? Also, is a "transition" a waypoint or path from the SID (or STAR) to the flightplan? What if there is no transition offered in the FMC?I appreciate any guidance or advice on this, thanks!JS

I fly my PMDG 737NG-800 by the book, I use Puta's excellent fuel planning tool to calculate my required fuel and ZFW, I input all FMC "required" fields, and use LNAV/VNAV from 500-1000' AGL until my last STAR fix, by the book, I think :7However, on downwind, base and final approach, my FMC-generated flap speed bugs are very low. In other words, if I follow the FMC-recommended flap schedule (ie UP at 200 KIAS, 1 at 190, 5 @ 165), my aircraft flies with a nose-up attitude of 10 degrees and sometimes more!I realize that the FMC calculates the optimal flap schedule based on weight, fuel left, and a zillion other things, but following these setting recommendations produces an …

I was wondering, is there any decent airport crew software out there. I am aware of Simflyer's Service Armada, however, i do not want some thing that just pops up out of no where. I want something similar to the Airport 2002 Scenery by Wilco (Which i would get but the animations aren't compatible with flight simulator 2004.)WHY WONT SOMEONE BUILD A DECENT ONE!Flight Sim is in desperate need of the gate actually coming to the aircraft when it has landed... i do not want to assume that the passengers actually jump from the gate into the aircraft.

Hi,First my question which maybe is plain stupid but when using the Load Manager to configure the PAX and cargo you can choose between single or mixed models but how will I know which one of them I'm using when flying in FS?Then to my problem. For some reason I don't have the trim-sounds anymore and I can't figure out why, haven't changed anything that has to do with the sounds as far as I know. I'm mainly flying the 737-800.TIA for any input,

Hi - I'm using fsbuild v.2 beta and successfully exporting f/plans to pmdg 737ng which I'm then able to load as Co. routes into the fmc. When I use MSFS9 atc in sim having loaded the .pln file before the flight in the internal flight planner (which I presume has exactly the same flight info as the .rte plan which is being loaded into the fmc)the internal atc seems to accept this and basically allows me to fly ifr along my filed route. However, as I get near to my destination, irrespective of where that may be, the sim atc vectors me off of my planned route (which would have incorporated a STAR) and sends me off on a weird and wonderful set of headings before I eventually a…

Hello all :)When I fly the NG737 I always start at the terminal gate. I've always used the slew function as an easy way to simulate pushback & it poses no problems on the default or other freeware planes that I have on my FS9.On the PMDG 737 I use the same procedure: I press slew to "pushback" and then of course press the slew key again to get back to normal mode. The wierd thing is that after I do this only *one* throttle lever moves. I have tried pressing "E" & then 1,2 rapidly as it says in the MSFS help files to restore synchronised control to both levers but it does not work and stays stuck on one throttle lever (the right one).To fix it I have to change plane…

Flightfreak - many thanks for helping me choose the right nvidia drivers, it now seems to be working okPMDG - I have just spent a very frustrating week trying to fugure out why my pmdg will not run. I have a new top end system with an nvidia card and the latest drivers. It seems that the latest drivers won't work as flightfreak has kindly advised.I am running ok now with 56 series. Why is this not in the FAQ or support info ??? (or is it somewhere?) surely 50 per cent or more of us have nvidia cards. Also, does this mean that we will not be able to upgrade video drivers in the future.CheersSteve

As yet I haven't done much with the Cost Index, other than just set it. Has anyone conducted any trials to see what difference it makes to vary the index? If some people are having trouble with overspeed on descent, using VNav,then maybe changing the cost index might result in shallower descents.Dave

Hi Everyone,I've been having probelms with FS9 like start-up issues and poor frame rates etc, so I decided to go in for the update pack and that's where I need some help:I continue to get the FSUIP incompatible message and can't run the sim after installation of the update pack. After downloading the the latest FSUIP (FSUIP 3.411 unregistered version) the instructions say to copy the fsuip.dll file into the FS9/Modules folder and that's it! I've done that, re-done it....but still it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? I'm going nuts with this...Please please help.As far as I know, I think im doing everything ok as far installation of the update pack is concerned since I g…

Hello, I am looking for some sort of tutorial that will allow me to start from the dark and cold cockpit and complete the most simple flight.I bought the product some months ago but never used it because I was overwhelmed by the amount of documentation one has to read.Having only 1 hour of spare time per day or less it will probably take me ages to read it all and by the time I finish I will have forgotten the first part.Isn't there a quick guide for some near immediate fun?Or a 'pmdg for dummies' guide with screenshots or at least a reference as where to find the buttons to click?I found a couple of mini tutorials for download but they're assuming too many things and the…

Maybe it's allways done this, but recently I just noticed that when flying a flight plan and then leaving the flight plan to follow ATC vectors to final, when checking the distance left to go in the PROGRESS page, the distance is not getting shorter as I get closer to the destination. This has been noticed twice now, back to back and on two different flights/days. If flying in LNAV and going to HDG mode, will the FMC quit showing the updated distance from a/c to airport?Eric T737NG builder

Hi all,as I've seen in this forum, there are many questions and complaints about the easiest way to save a flight for the 737. In the official FAQ, there is a workaround described, but it is quite annoying as the FMC has to be reprogrammed at least partly. The solution for XP users seems simple: Pause your FS, then use the Windows XP Hibernate function ('Start'-> 'Turn off computer', then press to make the left 'Standby' Button switch to 'Hibernate', use this function). When you reboot your PC, you have your flight and the 737 in the same state, every switch and the FMC are as you left them. You don't have to waste a single second for resetting anything and are able to …
